    T H E E V E R F L O W I N G M I S T

The former leader of the pack, Blackwater, was a brutal tyrant. He would mate with females indiscriminately. He did not want his power challenged, so he would murder the male pups, some his own sons. The wolves of his pack had had enough, and rose up against Blackwater, their leader being Blackwater's only surviving son, Whitecaster. A bloody battle began inside their pack. Unfortunately, only a few survived, since Blackwater did have his own followers. The remaining few became the new pack, renaming themselves the Pack of Misty Paths. Whitecaster became leader of the pack. Others, those who did not become Lone wolves, stayed and accepted him as their Alpha. The story begins as the pack finds their new territory in a forest plagued by thick mist.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    THE GREAT ALPHA: THE LORE
Hundreds of sunrises ago, the Great Alpha, whose pelt is the night sky, created wolves from the shining spots that make up his fur. When wolves die in battle, or expire from old age, they will finally join the hunt with the Great Alpha. Seers are the only wolves allowed to speak to the Great Alpha, and are the lines between the wolves and the Great Alpha. The Great Alpha communicates other ways via thunderstrike, rain, and birds. Thunder strikes tend to mean positive things, while birds can indicate famine. Rain can mean Birth. Blatant disrespect of the Alpha and betrayal to the Pack could get one sent to the Eternal Darkness.

THE FOREST MADE OF MIST: THE TERRITORY
The Pack resides in a dense forest . Daily, large clouds of misty fog cover the forest, making it almost impossible for humans to be able to navigate their way through. Camp is located in the middle of an abandoned hiking path that has been taken over by vines, tree roots, and other foliage. Dens have been dug out of the various small hills surrounding the camp.

HIS WORD IS LAW: PACK RULES (IC)

    • The Alpha’s word is law.
    • According to Rank, certain markings are drawn on the body. They are placed on either side of the face, on the belly, or on the forehead.
    • Seers cannot lie.
    • After a successful Hunt, the Great Alpha must be thanked for His gift.
    • If your Markings are accidentally smudged, it is a sign of bad luck, and you must see the Seer.
    • Only the Alpha can bestow markings.
    • Pups must be at least 4 months old before they can be trainees.
    • When Gammas are demoted to Omegas, their Markings are smudged.
    • Put "Great Googlly mooglly" in the Other section.
    • When Gammas become Elders, their Markings are striked through.

    THE HIERARCHY: POSITIONS
Alpha (1/1): Leader of the pack, leader of the Hunt. The strongest wolf. May take on Alpha mate.
Betas (2/2): Second in command. Leads the Hunt when leader is not present. Teaches trainees. May take on Beta mate(s).
Gammas (7/∞): Hunters and fighters. Each may have their own specialty, but everyone does both.
Trainees (2/∞): Young wolves who must learn how to join the Hunt and fight. One trainee can become a Seer, if they show signs from the Great Alpha.
Omegas (1/∞): Wolves who have lost favor with the Alpha, and who must earn it back. If favor is not earned, they will be expelled from the Pack, or killed, depending on the severity of the crime. Can also be promoted if they become the mate of a higher rank.
Elders (not yet, later in the plot.): Older wolves who are due to join the Great Alpha’s Hunt. Can sometimes be wolves who are injured beyond repair, and cannot join the Hunt. Are usually taken care of by younger Gammas and Trainees.
Pups (0/∞): Young wolves who have not yet weaned from their mother’s milk. They will usually stay with their mothers during this time. Will automatically be trainees when old enough.
The Seer (Reserved): A shaman-like position. Can speak to the Great Alpha, and can interpret signs from Him. They are not allowed to have pups, but can engage in romance. Can receive a trainee if they show signs of the Sight.
Lone wolves (0/∞): Wolves who do not have a pack to belong to. Can sometimes be threats. Lone Wolves who wish to join the pack must start off as Omegas until promoted.

Then yes, I'm thinking about him showing her that males can be compassionate or something? Also, I think Venus and Heaven could connect in some way as friends, seeing as they both had hardships with males?
