  • As Dovepaw pounced, he noticed Spottedfern. "Move away!" He ordered, headed flying towards her as well as the mouse with teeth bared. No way would he lose this catch. It was going to be his, he knew it! Dovepaw had to have confidence. After all, that mouse did look delicious, especially considering that it was Leafbare. Whilst the tom had no bad feelings towards the season, he understood how the situation was to an extent, though his positive attitude remained just like always.

  • Spottedfern gasped slightly, and jumped back, quite frankly startled. That was her kill. But she wasn't going to complain. She was a warrior—Dovepaw needed this training more than she did,

  • "Another catch for Dovepaw!" He didn't even comment on the fact that Spottedfern had been aiming for that mouse as well. He begun to tear the rodent apart, using his unusual method once again. He wasn't even halfway through his apprenticeship yet, but it was clear that Dovepaw would turn out to be a formidable warrior, as well as a rather strange one - strange to his Clanmates at least.

  • Dovepaw gave a huge smile, ice blue eyes scanning his Clanmate. He wondered if she was scared of him in any way. Whilst he didn't desire that, it did mean that he might have control over her out of fear. Dovepaw didn't like the idea, but he did want control. He was certainly ambitious, and wanted to be leader one day - even if he didn't fully agree with the whole ranking system anyway. "There's something bothering you, I can tell." He stated.

  • "Bothering me? Everything is fine!" Spottedfern responded quickly, accompanying her words with a forced smile. Dovepaw was rather cunning from what she could tell. He was good at picking up things others wouldn't. And to be frank, it made her a bit anxious. "The cold is bothering me, but other than that, I'm feeling great." She nodded briefly in one swift motion.

  • "I don't mind the cold, as I love all weather and will appreciate it - but it does have some negative affects. Then again, so does the heat," Dovepaw agreed, though he then proceeded to add, eyes meeting the she cat's with very strong intensity, "Your faked smiling is telling me that something else is bothering you. Tell me it all." Dovepaw did feel as though he deserved to know everything, and that he should be the most knowledgeable being ever to exist. But he was that already, right?

  • A huff escaped her maw, and she inhaled sharply. "I was going to have that kill. But you need it more than I." He was a training apprentice and she was a full warrior, every extra experience would be good for Dovepaw.

  • "Well, I caught it anyway," giving a mischievous smile, the tomcat continued, "How much of a good hunter are you anyway? I don't mean to insult a lovely cat like you, but I'd like to hear your own opinion on yourself." After all - every opinion mattered, even if they wouldn't exactly change Dovepaw's mind on something easily.

  • "I've always been a rather good hunter. It's always been my forte. I'm built for speed and agility, which aids me in hunting," she meowed. Ever since an apprentice, Spotty had been good at it. Fighting, she was average, or maybe just above.

  • Dovepaw listened, and responded with an, "Oh, really?" with narrowed ice blue eyes before he carried on talking - or rather, boasting. "I'm excellent at both hunting and fighting. It comes to me very easily, though I've course I've had to train very hard to achieve that goal. But some cats are just more able than others." And this ThunderClanner was certain that he was superior to absolutely everyone else.

  • "Hm, how about we have a spar. Let's see how strong you are," she meowed, a challenging glint in her eyes. She didn't doubt that he was strong—it was evident in his muscles. But he would have to prove it to her first.

  • "An apprentice against a warrior? How fair, though I do believe in equality anyway, so it makes no difference to me. In other words, I'll take you down either way!" He gave a smile, and felt his claws unsheathe naturally. He was prepared for it: 'no claws' and Dovepaw wasn't looking forward to that statement. He wanted to use his full strength, not hold back.

  • Dovepaw was shocked to see Spottedfern's claws come out as well. Had he actually found an interesting challenger? The ThunderClanner knew that he would win regardless, but it was still surprising, and something that the tomcat intended on looking into. Dovepaw sprang at Spottedfern using his powerful long legs, sharp claws aimed towards her chest. This was only his first move, but he believed it to be a decent start.

  • /sorry, school is so hectic rn and I have no muse!

Spottedfern was ready, this time. She had predicted that the apprentice would leap at her, so she nimbly lept to the side, feeling one claw graze her shoulder nonetheless. She had trained for many moons to be a warrior, and she had learned skills she would not forget.
