    → She didn't try to make it a habit but sometimes the tabby liked to escape to the territory. She didn't stray far, often it was in the farmlands outside their borders that she trod, meeting with farm cats and the like. This afternoon she stayed closer to home. Aspenpaw stood in the majestic clearing of the fourtrees, their bare branches outstretching, trying to cover the sky from view. The days were slowing fromwing warmer. She could already tell that she was starting to loose her thick pelt to the change of seasons. But the apprentice welcomed it. She had little memories of the spring. They were filled with nursery games and stories but nothing like how the seasons changed.

  • /Retro to rockslide injuries

    Spottedfern, too, had found herself at Fourtrees. It was a peaceful place and she would go there to escape the sickness, the drama, just escape everything. Little did ThunderClan know a rockslide was soon about to make things even worse, as well as cut off Spottedfern's tail, and probably kill many ThunderClanners.
    Her green eyes landed on a sandy-colored tabby. She looked to be around young warrior age, or old apprentice age. Why not say hello? The sociable she-cat would not ignore an opportunity to meet somebody new.
    "Hello," she mewed in a cheerful tone, her muzzle adorned with an affable smile.

  • hThe fem looked over, spotting the speckled warrior emerge from the tree line. The Molly's friendly demeanour communicated clearly. Aspenpaw returned the smile. "hello, thunderclan I assume?" She asked, noting the direction she had come. The apprentice noted her unique coat, wondering if she had come across this cat during a gathering. "I'm aspenpaw, from river clan."

  • "Yes, ThunderClan," she confirmed, seating herself and curling her tail around her paws. "I'm Spottedfern. Nice to meet you, Aspenpaw. How is RiverClan faring this leaf-bare?" she asked. She didn't know how the river dwelling Clan were coping. Hopefully better than ThunderClan was.

  • Her tail wrapped around the strong paws. "Well. The river froze several times which was difficult for getting prey. We don't have as much ground prey as Thunderclan. And there has been outbreaks of greencough ever so often." She explained. "What's been going on in thunderclan? After the last gathering I haven't heard much."

  • "Greencough. That's bad," she mewed, eyes darkening. Greencough was a killer. "ThunderClan is doing quite alright. Prey is scarcer than usual, of course, but we're managing fine." She chose to leave out the outbreak of yellowcough, considering it had made ThunderClan weak.

  • The fem nodded. "I wish it would be spring already. How is Adderstar? Who's the deputy again? Is it Mistheart?" Aspenpaw inquired. Her preoccupation during the last gathering had not allowed her to study who sat upon the great stone.

  • "Oh, me too! New-leaf always brings the promise of kits and good hunting," she meowed. "Adderstar is great, and our deputy is Mossflight," she meowed. "Cougartail is the deputy now, correct?"

    → Her head bobbed as the fem spoke. This was all menial chatter like they were afraid to reveal something. Was Thunderclan an enemy of Riverclan? It could not be, could it? "She is. I'm sorry to be so frank but is there something that I need to know? That Riverclan should know? You just seem to be concealing things."

    //lost this, sorry!
    p.s. Aspen is gonna catch whitecough from this encounter, to make things interesting, you don't have to reveal the outbreak to her if you don't want to but I just wanted to let you know why I kinda turned this into a 'drama' post

  • /That's okay! :) Oh and also I'm such a scatter-brain, I wrote white cough instead of yellowcough! It's actually a yellowcough outbreak.

    She looked down, studying her paws. "I-I can't tell you." She did want to tell Aspenpaw, she really did. But she couldn't. Not when this could endanger the life of her Clanmates. "I'm sorry. But it's something serious."
