  • Don't make lemonade...Tully thought a bit on the strange turret's wording. It's likely a play on the when life gives you lemons quote but- god, she's giving so much thought to something that doesn't even matter. It just...the phrase gave her this weird sense of nostalgia for something she never went through. Weird. Crush seemed a bit bothered by the phrase too. Maybe she should ask him about it sometime.

"Ah! Yes! There's a catwalk down there, and if we jump down there, that should lead to the turret room we're looking for. Ehm, hold on. I'm going to have to drop down again. Because this rail goes up pretty high. Twi, luv, think you could catch me again?"

Tully tried hard not to roll her eyes as she peeked over to fact check Wheatley's response. He was correct, for there was a platform below them, pretty far down. They'd have to move quick though, since she noticed these turrets were going somewhere, and from the faint aroma of smoke and metallic screaming it was definitely an incinerator and nope nope nope nope.

Deciding to just let survival instinct kick in Tully lept down and hit the platform square in the middle. It rattled with her weight and she wondered how she was even making all these jumps. At least it was good excersize.

"Hey! Tully, you can't just abandon us like this!"

Tully flashed an apologetic smile. She just kinda didn't want to die.

  • Wheatley's voice seemed to knock Crush out of his funk. He looked down, and took a deep breath. "Hey, Wheatley, need a way down? I was a Quarterback on my high school team, I could probably land you dead on to where Tully landed," he boasted, forcing a bit of a smile. "Besides, someone's there, so they can catch you." He had heard the rattling of the catwalk, and he knew already that he would be the last one down, just in case it did break.

  • (Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Getting ready to move to a new house, so it's been busy on my end!)

Caia lightly chuckled as she heard the turret speak. Don't Make Lemonade... Now that was a phrase she hadn't heard in quite a long time. She still faintly remembered the day that was recorded, too... She also remembered all the complaints that were filed after a certain man actually invented a flaming fruit. Ah, the fire alarms got a good workout that day for sure.

  • Twilight didn't immediately respond to Wheatley. At first it seemed like she hadn't heard him at all as she seemed to space out for a moment before blinking and glance up at Wheatley. "Sure... I can try... Crush might do a better job though..." She replied softly. Usually she smiled upon hearing Whealtey's voice but she didn't even maintain eye contact or smile, even briefly. Her voice sounded fine unless you listened closely then you could hear a slight tremble to it. She looked a little out of it.

  • (Might send Twi into a bit of a panic/anxiety attack. The topic of Neurotoxin is really touchy for her having been at bring your daughter to work day and all. Might save it for when we get closer to taking that out but IDK it's kind of a hit and run at that part.)

  • (Yeah, okay!)

Wheatley dropped right into Twilight's hands. "You okay, luv? You've been awful quiet lately." He perks up at Crush. "Well...I-uh..." he looks from Twilight to Crush. He supposed it'd be easier to get down if Crush threw him, and Twilight would have an easier time jumping down, but he didn't want to break...and...

"A-alright. Just don't break anything. Please."

Tully heard Ana land beside her and gave the girl a nonchalant wave.

  • Twilight was slightly started by her instinctive catch when Wheatley dropped into her hands, nearly making her fall over with him from the lack of bracing herself. She quickly caught herself. Upon Wheatley question she nodded kind of distractedly. "Huh? Oh. I-im fine." She replied. "We should probably head down-" she suddenly felt light headed upon looking down as she neared the jump and quickly leaned back, stepping backwards as starting to shake and couldn't keep her focus straight. "Cr-crush!" She shakily held Wheatley out to him. She didn't want to risk dropping Wheatley or hurting him.

  • "Yeah, hand him here," Crush accepted Wheatley as he tried not to look down. It was making him dizzy. "So, am I throwing him down into the arms of someone else, or am I carrying him down? I'd personally carry him, he could break the arms of whoever is catching him. He could stand to lose a few pounds," he grinned, continuing his teasing of the core without dropping back into name-calling territory.

  • Twilight started to hyperventilate and started to lose balance. “Cr-crush!” She gasped as she gripped a rail and sank down to the ground, her breathing growing more erratic. She started to black out.

  • "Ahhh!" Tully could barely see Twilight's affliction from where she was and made a desperate sound of alarm, realizing that they were still on a one-way trail to an incinerator. She looked around desperately for something to portal at to help the girl get down. Was that even an option?! She gave Ana a desperate look.

"Twilight?!" Wheatley didn't bother to even process Crush's teasing when he noticed the girl was in trouble. "C-crush, throw me down. The girls down there can catch me, you need to help Twilight! If she blacks out..well, y'know, she can't just jump down then!"

  • (I thought they were one a catwalk? They got off the turret production line cause there a small catwalk and then they jump down to the next area. But this works too I guess. XD)

  • Crush finally noticed Twilight, and he gulped in a breath, surprised. He shook it off quickly though, and looked down, where Ana and Tully were. "Baseball practice, don't fail me now," he muttered, lifting the heavy core in his right hand and aiming for Ana's open hands. "Wheatley, I'm sorry in advance if I miss." He said, before throwing their guide on a laser-straight pattern, right into the open arms of Ana. Crush took a sigh of relief, then rushed to Twilight, standing defensively over her. "Are you alright?" He asked, unsure of what was fully going on with his ally. No, that was... insensitive. He supposed he was friends now, with the girls. "Hey, hey, breath, c'mon now. You gotta talk to me. Stay with me Twilight, we need you."

  • She couldn't keep her breath steady and she looked scared. "C-Cr-ush..." She gasping rapidly trying to breath. She couldn't stop shaking or focus her vision and it was starting to go black. She reached up and grasped the edge of his shirt, "h-he-lp..." She muttered, starting to fall over.

  • (hell yeah, I can see Crush acting all big-brother like. Like Dominic Toretto once said, 'I don't have friends; I have family." Fast and Furious series.)

"Hey!" Crush shouted, trying to keep her awake. He grabbed hold of her shoulders, keping her from falling. "Breathe, dammit!" He could see plainly now that her chest wasn't moving up and down. "Shit," he muttered as he bent down and swept her up off her feet, so he was carrying her. He had done it so many times as a football star, swept girls so much it was but a muscle memory to do it now. "Hold on tight," he whispered to her, then shouted down, "Hey! Clear the landing zone! I'm coming down with Twilight!"

  • Ana grunted as she caught the Spherical robot, groaning "Couldn't have thrown you a little more gently, could he?" She grumbled to him, before hearing Crush "Right!" She called back, straining to carry Wheatley.

  • Crush took a deep breath, and pulled Twilight close to him. Then he leaped for the platform, landing solidly with a exhale. "I... I don't know what's wrong," he said, setting her down on a solid point. "It's not that Nee-ro toxin, is it?"
