  • (DX poor twi)
Twilight quickly stepped forward and caught Wheatley in her arms with a small, "oof!" he was heavier than expected but she did catch him, almost fell over in the process, but non the less caught him. She regained her balance and then smiled. "caught you."

  • "Ah!" Wheatley shrieked. "Ah! I...I'm not... I am NOT dead! Haha! I'm not dead! Oh-ho, oooh-ho, take that, superior robots! Look who's not dead! I am! Ha-ha!"
Tully's smile was a bit pained, but she was at least happy they were okay.
"Anyways, plug me into that stick on the wall over there, will ya, luv?" Wheatley motioned towards Twilight, and then motioned towards a console-like panel on the wall Tully was surprised she didn't notice before. "Plug me in there, yeah, and I'll show ya somethin'. You'll be impressed by this."

  • "Can't you unlo-Ok, never mind then." Ana shrugged as Wheatley dropped from the rail, keeping a calm exterior as her mind devolved into panicked shouting. As she wasn't focusing on anything her gaze drifted again, finding the portal gun once more and through the panicky voices in her head, a malicious thought slipped through the cacophony, whispering again Take it. You don't need them, only me and the Portal Gun. We can be happy together, away from everything. Friends only slow you down, they don't matter. Another voice, a voice that sounded like Tully in the few times Ana had heard her speak, began to speak as well NO! Don't listen! All these people want to be friends with you, you joined this entire program to make friends, all you do by stealing the Portal gun is make them hate you. Take it! NO! Take it! NO! Ana was now completely oblivious to the world around her, trapped between two intertwining snakes, holding her head in her hands as Wheatley's suggestion of Brain Damage was true. It wasn't however a fault of the relaxation chamber...

(I really love playing this internal struggle dynamic. Its just so fun to have two conflicting ideas tearing a characters mind apart...)

  • a teenage boy lay on a broken bed amidst the delapitated room. "Wake up conan! It's time for breakfast!" A small core squeaked cheerfully as he rolled in on his management rail. Its one arm was holding a white plate with a bagel on it. "Who are you?" Conan asked. "I'm peewee core! I l'm a personal care core programed to aid the doctors! Now eat your breakfast like a good boy!" "Where's the doctor?" The core paused for a moment. "The doctor asked me to make sure you had breakfast before he came to see you so eat up!" Peewee's eye trembled slightly as if it was focusing intensly on conan's moves. Conan ate the bagel though he wished for some cream cheese to go with it. "Hey peewee could you bring me a glass of wat-URGH!" conan's body felt hot "what did you put in that bagel?!" He threw the plate at peewee who meerly dodged it. The plate shattered against the wall. "I found an age altering drug and I was curious about the effects..." conan could feel his bones melting down. He blacked out the core still watching him. "Conan~wake up!" Conan woke up looking around the room he was on the floor next to his bed. "Aww! You look so cute now!" Peewee tossed him a small set of clothes. "What did you do to me?!" Everything looked bigger now, conan stumbled a bit. Peewee was ignoring him "I guess I can mark that test a success! Plenty more to go!" Conan aimed a lamp at the core's management rail knocking him down to the floor. "Hey! No fair! Fix it now!" Peewee hobbled about angerly. "Sorry peewee can't help you, I'm just a kid!"

  • Twilight nodded at Wheatley and carried him over to the wall, knelt down and carefully got him plugged in. "there you go." she told him, standing up and taking a step back after making sure he wasn't going to fall off.

  • (Ah, the fun in relentlessly torturing your characters...)

"Alright, I- a-ha, can't do it if you're watching. Little unspoken rule. Unspoken rule, of me. Haha. So, um, turn around, please."
Tully gave a look that pretty much read 'seriously?' and Wheatley gave her a look that replied 'yes, seriously'.
Tully rolled her eyes and span on her feet. She heard some whirrs and some electric beeps.
    "Done!"
Well, that had to be the longest thirty seconds Tully had ever experienced. She took a deep breath, sighed, and turned aro-where did that room come from wasn't there a wall there why did the wall move-?!
"Ta-da! Secret panel! Impressive, I know. You're welcome."
"Hm." Tully mumbled, intruiged. Why would robots even know about a panel like this?

  • Twilight grinned with the panel opened. She stepped back towards Wheatley, ready to pick him up and carry him again. "This will be a lot faster than trying to make our way through broken test chambers. Thanks Wheatley." she carefully unplugged him and situated him in her arms where he could look around easier and already see in front of them. She kept her hands, firmly gripping the bottom rail so she wouldn't drop him as easily.

  • (Hmm... Oooh! Just had an Idea for GlaDos' wake up. How about Ana steals the Portal gun, runs off with it and gets caught in Her Chamber, then everything goes horribly wrong as she wakes up then Diagnoses Ana with Schizophrenia? But then Tully refuses to trust her until she proves herself again!)

  • Crush nodded. "I'm Crush, I don't think I introduced myself either." He stood nearby, ready to grab the annoying AI if Twilight missed him. but she caught him, and Crush even admitted, he was a bit impressed. She looked to be struggling though, so he must be heavy. "Hey, Twi, d'ya mind if, um, if I carried Wheatley? He's a bit, um, heavy, right? I can probably carry him better than you, and I won't tire out as much." He looked away, a little embarrassed. He was now offering to carry his annoyance everywhere. But he could do it much better than she could. Plus, that bag looked like it had something in it, a Laptop maybe? she'd need both hands for that.

  • (Oooh~ also yeahhhh, Tully would be REALLY upset if that happened. She's think she did something wrong, refuse to communicate altogether while she tries to figure out WHAT she did wrong, and would get far more into the depths of self-loathing. She suffers from a lot of performance anxiety, which is why she clings to the portal gun so much. She desperately wants people to like her, and that only seemed to happen when the portal gun happened. So when that's taken from her, she immediatly assumes she wasn't good enough.
Yay, character struggles. Not being able to talk didn't treat her well.)

Tully peeked around the 'secret panel' in curiousity. It still looked like an absolute wreck, wherever it was, but it at least didn't look overgrown.
Should we go in? Her notebook read. Is it safe?
Wheatley seemed a bit uncomfortable. He apparently liked Twilight's company more than Crush's. Which made sense, considering the other three didn't acknowledge him as more of a moron.

  • Twilight turned to face crush. "hmm? Oh! Um, if it's fine with Wheatley." she replied then looked down at the core in her arms. "can crush carry you for now?" she asked him, noticing his discomfort. She wouldn't mind carrying him, but she knew what crush said was true. Wheatley was rather heavy and she already had her laptop bag across her shoulder, hanging from her side. Maybe they could switch off?

  • Wheatley looked at the floor for a moment, then at Crush, and then at Twilight. "I rather did enjoy your company," he began, "but if that's the safer option..." He still seemed a bit unsure, but also did not want to fall.

  • Twilight hummed at this. "how about we switch off? I can carry you again once we are past the catwalks. I feel that it's safer that way and I can regain some strength then I can carry you some more after the catwalks. How about that?" she offered. She rather liked carrying Wheatley too but she'd get tired and sore rather quick so breaks would help with that. "plus it's not like I'm going anywhere!" she added.

  • Ana took a shuddery breath, the voices in her head still arguing, however the darker, snakelike voice was most certainly in the ascendant Good, Good... Take the Portal Gun now... It'sss yoursss... Regardlessss of what they sssay... She moved in an almost dreamlike state, following the voices direction without thinking, without speaking. A small part of her knew it was wrong, tried to say something, warn Tully of what was about to happen but she couldn't... Her eyes had changed, going bloodshot as she stared at the object of her insanity's obsession "Must... Have..." She murmured, as her arms shot out for the item.

  • (Is Ana stealing it now? Or is she attempting to?)

Tully tensed when she felt the sensation of possible contact, but she was too distracted to notice what was going on. "Mm?" She hummed instinctively, as a way of expressing her confusion.

Wheatley seemed to relax a bit with that statement. "I think that better suits the situation," he muses, even though it really only resonated with the conversation, not the situation. "Now then, when you four are ready, we can continue. Don't worry," he huffed with pride, "I know this place top to bottom!"

  • Twilight grinned at that. "alright then!" she carefully and gently handed Wheatley over to Crush. She turned and saw Ana and Tully and tilted her head in confusion.
