Camp Half-Blood {RP Thread}(Semi-Advanced)

    Aurora shrugged sheepishly, then admitted suddenly, "Not actually a terribly big fan of alcohol, honestly, but it certainly does wonders if you need to sleep. Mix a bit of rum with Dr. Pepper..." she trailed off, then coughed awkwardly. "It does the job fairly well, all things considered," she finished meekly. "Time is an illusion," she deadpanned, "Lunchtime--doubly so." With a quiet giggle, she stated, "At any rate, how was your morning? You seem much less disheveled than I do; your hair looks amazing." She grinned, a twinkle in her eye as her head swiveled around, her eyes observing the occupants of the room with a sudden, intense gaze. She was not particularly fond of the mess hall; there was a couple dozen plates next to her bed that she just pretended was art. Or, at least, until the weekly inspection came.

    Alsanna was watching the mess hall from afar, eyeing it with the air of one on the prowl. Which she was, in a sense. She was looking for her next victi-- contestant. She had just devised a new game show that nobody was actually interested in, not that she could really blame anyone. It was pretty bad, even by her standards, which were hilariously low. After a brief pause, she sighed and stomped inwards; her stomach was definitely on the hunt for a contestant to consume. Maybe some waffles. She'll decide when she wants to, which could be never.

    Kate looked down at her feet and smiled faintly. "That would be quite lovely. Thank you." She moved towards the lake, an automatic instinct of hers. When they drew nearer, she sat at the edge of the lake, took off her shoes, and placed them into the water. The refreshing coolness filled her body from the feet up, and she closed her eyes. "Your uncle huh? That's pretty cool."

    Pierce sat still for a moment. He really had no strong feeling for his godly parent. He was glad in a sense that he took certain qualities from his mother which he would consider inherently positive. And although she had never done anything to interfere or interact with him in his life soon after reaching camp he realized that's part of being a demigod really. He scavenged Orion for any emotions be it respect, anger, or anything really. Although he was seemingly quite reserved, realistically his mother being Chione didn't help in the slightest. "Nemesis" He finally responded with a small shrug. Already running out of things to say, Orion's demeanor kind of throwing him off. "How do you like camp?" He questioned even though he was guessing Orion had no strong opinions.

    "Well, I just thought it would make for good blank conversation," Xander admitted casually. He was having to work harder than he normally did just to keep up with River; her pace was quite fast. "I'm not really the apologizing type," he admitted honestly, contemplating her words. He imagined she'd like an apology from the man responsible. Or maybe she wouldn't. Maybe she'd rather see him dead. "Think we're almost there?" he asked conversationally, glancing around at the sunlit forest.


    "Oh, no!" Cordelia exclaimed as she shook her hands rapidly back and fourth; a gesture of denial. "You don't necessarily have to eat them! They're fun to play with too," she assured, nodding her head quickly. Based on Fay's demeanor, she had already guessed that the girl was probably a vegetarian of some kind. "They're... a little like crabs?" she suggested helpfully.

    Iapetus continued to make his way to the training grounds, his eyes scanning the other campers, either minding there own business or engaging in conversation with other friendly campers, something he couldn't bring himself to do very often. Iapetus's minded wondered to why he was like that, 'dramatic' as it seemed he was always bullied and by the time he was 11 fully knew that often friendly faces were the worst. He isolated himself, making others think of him as some big scary guy that has no heart. In all honesty the kid had a little anxiety. Finally arriving at the training grounds, Iapetus smiled from beneath his armour, he was know in his element. "Anyone for a dual?" He asked, his face resting over the fearful faces as he arrived. Smirking Iapetus shrugged as all he received were small shakes of the others heads.

    Pie's stomach growled, his eyes scanning over his work before ripping the goggles off of his head, yawning as he did so. He turned slowly, resting his large hands on the bench behind him, again yawning. Pie stood back up, untying his apron from his neck and waist and chucking it over the bench, covering what he had been working on, a new weapon.
    Face and hands covered in soot, he stepped outside, squinting as he did so, his eyes adjusting to the bright natural light. Though he could have simply used to the small water supply to wash his face and hands, Pie thought better to do so in the lake, where he was able to smell the fresh air and let his eyes adjust.


    Making it to the lake he smiled, dipping his hands into the cool water as he splashed it up onto his arms and face, washing the black soot from it. The now clean Pie smiled even more, his eyes scanning the lake as he was bent down. Hesitantly he stood up and made his way to the dining pavilion, yawning every now and then from the little sleep he had gotten. Reaching the dining pavilion he smiled, scanning the area for Gizmo, his sister.

    River Magnus- Daughter of Ares & Aphrodite
    Looking around cautiously River noted that the road was still just through the trees to their right and up ahead of them it looked as though there was a hill with a tree at the top and what looked like some figures near the crest. "Yeah, I do." She replied in answer to Xanders last question. It was surprising for River that she didn't feel any sort of relief wash over her at the sight of the hill, it was as though part of her was still tensed up, knowing that even though they were this close didn't mean they weren't safe. With her leg burning with sharp pain all River wanted was to lay down and sleep for days, but she knew that part of that was due to the infection that was no doubt festering in the wound. As she continued pushing forward something caught River's attention, looking around with alert red eyes River took a quick and deep sniff of the air. "Move!" She ordered Xander and grabbed his shoulder, tossing him in front of her and pushing him to move faster, not wanting to risk him getting left behind. "Run! NOW!" She commanded, her bronze knife already held at the ready in her hand as she began a painful sprint towards the hill, not allowing herself to pass Xander, wanting to keep the boy in front of her at all times. Behind the two the sound of growls and creatures crashing through the bushes sounded as a pack of hell hounds tore after them.


    OOC: I know it is tempting for everyone to jump in at this, but this fight is going to be important for Rivers story so please refrain from having your characters come rushing into the fight. Mer knows what's going on and so Xander will be involved with the fight, other characters can see it, but something very important for later is about to happen so please respect this request. Thank you guys!



    Zero Michel- Son of Hades
    "Yeah, my daddy said that it's the perfect place for special kids like us!" Zero smiled as he ascended the hill with Kiara's hand in his small grasp. As they grew closer to the top of the hill Zero began to bounce, wanting to see over the crest so badly. Suddenly his eyes caught sight of a giant house and fields behind it where he could see people running around having fun. "Kiara! We're here! We made it!" The little boy exclaimed excitedly as he raced the last few steps over the crest of the hill, pulling Kiara's hand as he went.



    Fay- Nymph/ Daughter of Pan
    Upon hearing that these 'lobsters' were not always eaten Fay smiled. "Oh! They are like crabs that play?" She asked trying to piece together an understanding based on what Cordelia had told her. "What is it you play with them? And what makes them different from crabs? Do they have claws like crabs?" She asked genuinely curious about the foreign creatures known as lobsters.



    Toben- Centaur
    Toben smiled when Kate accepted his offer to help her find out who her siblings were. "Oh, yeah Chiron is a pretty cool uncle, he's not like the rest of the family." Toben replied as he thought about the rowdy bunch of centaurs in Texas compared to the level headed hero trainer that helped run Camp Half-Blood. "He's a lot calmer, pretty book smart too. He's always trying to keep us in order like we'er a giant group of campers gone wild." Toben chuckled as he thought about how Chiron often ended up getting drowned out as soon as he started talking about anything that didn't have to do with paintball or competition.



    Orion Weiss- Son of Chione
    By now it had become clear to Orion that Pierce was dead set on talking to him. He knew that perhaps making at least one friend might not hurt and could actually be fun, besides he had nothing against Pierce, the boy seemed pretty okay so far. "It's nice here, a bit warmer than I'm used to but everyone seems friendly enough. It's cool having a place like this set up for people like us, makes it a little less sucky when you have nowhere else to go." He replied hoping that his answer was enough to keep the conversation going. "I'm actually grateful to have a place where I know I'm safe." He added after a moment.


    Maxie Weller- Daughter of Hephaestus
    OOC: @was Gizmo/Maxie is in the dining pavilion now just so you know. :)



    OOC: @prince skywalker nothing much has really happened. Zero and Kiara just made it to camp, River and Xander are running from hell hounds and everyone else is still in the dining pavilion or just wondering around camp.

    Kiara laughs, running the last few steps with him, silver hair flowing behind her. "Yeah, we did!" She says excitedly. Myaro mews loudly, tail flicking happily. Kiara looks around eagerly, trying to take everything in.

    Holliday - Son of Nike

    Andrew stood in the archery range, bow in hand and arrow in the other. He pulled the string back slowly before letting it snap back and sending the arrow smack in the middle of the target. Well, it had been close enough. He still considered it a bullseye.

    Zero Michel- Son of Hades
    "Look Kiara! There's a fruit field! And a bolly-ball net!" Zero exclaimed excitedly as he mispronounced 'volley-ball'. "Chez! Look it's so cool!" Zero smiled and turned to see his smoking black skeleton friend was looking around the camp with empty eye sockets. "Come on guys! We should go say hi and show them Myaro!"



    Maxie Weller- Daughter of Hephaestus
    Maxie had a sixth sense, or at least she had developed one since her time as counselor of her fathers cabin, and this sixth sense just so happened to be knowing where he beloved but troublesome older brother was at all times. An alarm bell of sorts began going off in the red haired girls brain and she looked up seeing Pie enter the dining pavilion. "Pie!" She called out with a smile and waved her brother over to their father's table. "I was wondering how long it would take for you to wonder out of the workshop when I left for food." She teased with a smile knowing that her brother was just as crazy about inventing as she was.



    Pyrrha Nikos- Daughter of Zeus
    Like most mornings, Pyrrha was up before the sun and dressed in her usual jeans, combat boots and black tank top with her golden circlet placed on her head and her hair pulled up in a high ponytail. The look was a normal one for the young demi-god, though she preferred to wear her armor more than anything. So far the daughter of Zeus had already gone on a long and refreshing run, eaten breakfast and polished her shield and weapons. Now she found herself roaming around camp, her emerald green eyes catching a flash of movement coming from the archery range. In no real rush Pyrrha wandered over to the archery range and smiled as she arrived in time to see Andrew shoot a bullseye. "That was very impressive." She complimented with a genuine smile.

    Kiara grins. "Yeah!" She says, just as excited as the young son of Hades. She looks at Myaro. "We finally made it!"

    "Mew!!!" The kitten replies, with a huge smile on her tiny face.


    Kiara grins, and starts heading down the hill, still holding Zero's hand.

    Iapetus frowned at the lack of people wanting to train with him, he didn't blame them. He had earned brownie points for being a total *sshole when he had sent someone to the hospital ward after a basic training session. He spun the blade around in his hands, gripping the handle tightly before turning and walking away, perhaps something interesting would appear more towards the archery range, there was usually a bit of excitement for the boy there.


    Iapetus arrived at the archery grounds just as Andrew hit the target, under his armour the boy raised his eyebrows.Impressed. Truth be told, Iapetus was rubbish with a bow, more skilled in at charging at people and swinging something any old person could do.
    "Impressive indeed" The boy said, his muffled Australian accent just audible through his helmet. The boy stepped up beside Pyrrha, "Can you swing a sword just as good?" He questioned, smirking despite it not being visible. The boy loved messing with people, complimenting them before showing off his own skills.

    Pie smiled as he sat down at the table, hiding a yawn as he did so. "Well, I kinda lost track of time" He said rubbing the back of his head, smiling awkwardly, "Thought you would still be in the workshop though" He said smiling. In all honesty the boy hadn't really noticed when he sister upped and left until of course when he had finished and not seen her.

    Zero Michel- Son of Hades
    "Come on Kiara! Let's go see if we can find anyone new!" Zero suggested excitedly as he looked at Myaro when the kitten mewed. "And maybe we can find Myaro some toys or milk or something!"



    Pyrrha Nikos- Daughter of Zeus
    Looking over at Iapetus, Pyrrha gave the son of Hades a welcoming smile. The scarlet haired girl placed one hand on her side as she looked over to Andrew waiting to hear the boy's response to the question. Movement outside the training area caught her emerald eyes as she noticed several campers rushing in the direction of Half-Blood Hill.



    Maxie Weller- Daughter of Hephaestus
    "I find time stops existing the moment I enter that workshop." Maxie joked, though it was actually true. It was so easy for her to spend hours, even days in the workshop and never notice how much time passed by because she was so wrapped up in her ideas. "I only just left a few moments before you." She admitted with a smile and nudged her older brother gently. "So, do I get any clues as to what you are working on or is it a top secret project?" She asked teasingly, though she more than respected if he wanted to keep the idea to himself.

    Kiara grins, bouncing excitedly. "Yeah! She looks over the place, trying to figure out where to go, and her eyes flit to the amphitheater. "What about that place? Looks like a bunch of people are there!"

    Iapetus nodded slightly when Pyrrha nodded at him and soon the movement caught his own curiosity. Frowning he weighed up whether or not to investigate but his curiosity won, "Hmm, I'll be right back" He said, slipping off his helmet, leaving it on the group beside the girl, if needed he wanted to be able to survey the area completely. Iapetus took off towards the hill and once joining the others he scanned the area, his eyes resting on two figures crashing their way through the undergrowth being chased as what he could hear were hell hounds. Iapetus turned to the others who were getting ready to march down there and attempt to rescue the two. "Stop'' He said, his deep voice freezing the group that now turned to him "We have to see their full strength, give them a time to shine" He added, scanning the frightful eyes that stared back at him, "fall back behind me, if necessary I will call if we go down there" He said turning back to the two, "But I doubt that will happen" He muttered.

    Pie shrugged, "Nothing too fancy, another sword for Ips" He said smiling, "He requested it and don't have anything else to do so I told him why not" He added. The truth was that Pie was terrified of Iapetus, the status the boy had gained wasn't a good one and was of course frightful of what could have happened to him if he decline. "Anything interesting you're working on?" He questioned after he had swallowed a mouth full of water and placed the cup back on the table.

    OOC: I can't really go forward without Mer and Rosie...just because Mer's character Xander is with River and well...I don't want to get Rosie lost because it is her thread.
