  • HONEY, WITH YOU

    Kate gave him another smile. "Of course!" She cleared her throat, then folded her hands together on the table in front of her. "Let's see...I was born in Canada, Poseidon's my father, I fled here when I was sixteen...I love to cook and drink wine." She gave an awkward little laugh, tossing her hair back at the same time. "I don't know what to say to be honest...feel free to ask me anything really. I'm an open book."

    IS THE ONLY HONEST WAY TO GO

    Before Leif could finish his food, a figure who was much taller than himself was approaching the table, smiling down at him. Leif recognized the boy as Will, one of the sons of Aphrodite. Despite appearing intimidating, Leif had never thought of him as a necessarily "scary" person.

    Smiling softly up at the older, Leif sets down his fork and folds his hands in his lap, the long sleeves of his flannel coming to cover his slender hands.
    "Hi Will," he greets, his voice soft-spoken and gentle, "I slept good. Did you see the sun rise this morning? It was particularly orange today." He hums thoughtfully, his dark eyes seeming to zone out for a couple seconds before snapping back to Will's taller frame.

    Unlike how he acted and his own frame, Leif had never been intimidated by any of the other campers except the kids from Ares and Athena, since they were the most generally violent campers. Even the dark and shady Hades kids hadn't fazed Leif, which came as a surprise to the campers that such a soft, fragile-looking boy wasn't very easily intimidated.

  • Hauling her most recent kill through the forest, Rockelle realized just how far she had wandered from the main part of Camp. She was beginning to sweat a little now, and began to feel the time of season catch up with her. This never stopped her before, so she continued trekking on, Ember still following close behind her.

    When she finally arrived to the Camp's entrance, she decided against her stubborn nature, and took a small break, leaving the dead animal on the ground. She would most likely clean it later, so this was alright for now. As they entered, Ember took a small run around camp, greeting and jumping upon others, his tail wagging happily.

    (( muse a little low, but I think it's alright, considering. ))

  • Kiara smiles, trying not to show that the skeleton still terrifies her. "Chez, is that your friend over there?" She asks. She's happy to have met this little boy. She was worried that she wouldn't have any friends.

    {Xena}

    {Daughter of Hecate}

    ~

    {Xena calmly waited for a response from her half-sibling, but couldn't stop herself from stealing another curious glance at Nikota. The surprise she saw on the girl's face surprised her as well, but perhaps Nikota did not receive a friendly look all that often. Should she go for a wave? Xena wasn't sure. This was the oddest situation.}

    {Will}

    {Son of Aphrodite}

    ~

    {"Huh? Sunrise?" Will asked blankly, rapid landing around their surroundings like it might suddenly jump out at him from some hidden corner. "No. No..." he murmured slowly, then smiled in embarrassment and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm not much for early mornings, so sunrises aren't really my thing," he admitted sheepishly. "But I'll take your word for it that it was amazing."}

    {Nathan}

    {Son of Ares}

    ~

    {Nathan hastily shook his head, causing his hair to fly around his face wildly. "What, are you joking?" he asked Angel. "There's no way I can keep eating now! I'm all fired up! Let's get going!" he declared in his booming voice, laughing loudly as he shuffled past them, clearly eager to get to the arena.}

    {Mavis}

    {Daughter of Ares}

    ~

    {Mavis smirked a little at Kazuto's statement, tilting her head a ways back in order to look at him properly. "While I do find that highly amusing, all the more reasons to come down and eat some food now." She managed a casual shrug, then pushed herself off the roof, falling a ways down and landing solidly, the impact jarring her calves. She glanced bs j up at Kazuto, her hands falling to her hips as an expectant expression took over her features.}

  • ((Sure XD))
    Pierce stood still as he silently stared into the sea. Not even shuffling as he took in every detail he possible could. Eventually hai thoughts strayed and his gaze became a blank one. Ignorin this senses as he was enveloped in his own thoughts. It was bad timing considering in only a few moment he felt a force push him and snap him back into reality. Stumbling a few get before catching himself and regaining his balance.

    He stared blankly and with mild annoyance at Orion. Partly because of what had happened of course. And also because he hated to admit he couldn't remember his name. Faintly recognizing his face but little else. He walked a bit closer and crouched down as he picked up his book. Realizing pretty quickly what had hapended. Not bothering to get angry because it was in part his fault.

    "Here." Pierce said as he offered the book back to Orion. The situation already feeling awkward and just not fun. Although he really wasn't picking up anything on the boy. A bit strange but it wasn't really on Pierces mind at that point. "What were you doing reading and walking?" He questioned with a chuckle, trying to bring a lighter tone to the conversation. He knew it took your full attention as was evident by what had just happened.

  • Angel smiled slightly at his actions and nodded. They followed him to the arena, debating wether or not to use their Stygian Iron sword or one of the wooden swords the arena usually had laying around. The children of Ares were good fighters yet Stygian Iron was dangerous to demigods, monsters, and gods. Sending someone to the infirmary was not on their today's to-do list. Angel strode calmly next to Nathan.

  • Holliday - Son of Nike

    Andrew a little disheartened to see Pierce leave, but he was quickly smiling again when Aria continued on the conversation. "An Apollo kid thing? Please, I could beat them all in an archery competition, no doubt." He glanced at the Apollo table, as if hoping someone heard him and said something. He quickly looked back at Aria and nodded, "Anyway, yeah it's pretty fun. I'm gonna head out now, I'll catch ya later, alligator!" He stood up, strolling away toward the range.

    Tchaikovsky - Daughter of Iris

    Anna nodded along, munching on her bacon as she listened to Maxie. She made sure her mouth wasn't full before speaking again, "Yeah. Maybe sometime I can get a peak at that project?" she said with a hopeful, yet half-joking manner. "Anyway, no, I haven't even decided what I want to do today. Maybe some training or volley. Not sure yet. I guess I'll see how things go in the next ten minutes."

  • Kazuto raised both his hands in mock defeat. "Alright, fine, you win. If you wanted someone to eat with so badly you could've just said so," He might get a punch in the arm when he landed, but he could always return that favor. After all she did chuck a piece of the roof at him. He got on his knees to turn around and carefully lowered himself so his hands had a firm grip on the side of the roof. After making sure he wasn't going to fall on her, he dropped down, crouching slightly to reduce the impact of landing then standing straight again. He brushed off the dirt on his hands, then placed his left hand on his hip. "I'm assuming you have yet to eat either."

  • so I went to bed immediately after I got home, oops]

    Aurora blinked at Xena, then shrugged. "Dull, honestly. I didn't sleep very well last night. Well, at least until my 3DS died." She grinned ruefully, then shrugged, eyeing the child across the way, before yawning loudly. "No regrets." She paused, yawned again, then admitted, "Well...maybe just one..." Aurora noted the surprise, but didn't really do much with it--what can she do? Act surprised?
    Oh, what the hell, what else could happen? A look of pure surprise crossed her features, though it immediately went back to a knowing smile. She grabbed another book, realizing that the one she had been trying to fix had been clean for at least five minutes at this point.

    {Xena}

    {Daughter of Hecate}

    ~

    {Xena returned her attention to Aurora and cocked her head slightly in interest at her half-sister's comment. "One regret, eh? What's that?" she asked interestedly, nodding her head methodically.}

    {Aria}

    {Daughter of Aphrodite}

    ~

    {Aria blinked in bafflement and being suddenly left by not one but two people. She shrugged in bemusement and turned away smiling, wandering off to someone else.}

    {Nathan}

    {Son of Ares}

    ~

    {Nathan practically slipped into the arena. He dashed over and picked up a practice sword, wildly swinging it around. Then, he held it still, examining it, testing its weight. He smiled. Apparently he was satisfied with it, for he turned back to Angel. "Are you ready or what?" he asked, quaking in excitement.}

    {Mavis}

    {Daughter of Ares}

    ~

    {Mavis nodded in agreement at Kazuto's inquiry. "Correct. I was up early this morning for a jog, then realized that I should see if anyone else from the cabin wanted some food," she admitted, carefully pushing a red strand of hair from her face.}

  • Angel glanced around the arena, before lifting a wooden sword. They swished it in the air, focusing on it for a moment. They could work it with one hand, easy. Working it with two hands was even more easier to do. The still early sun cast long shadows in the arena, with the walls rising up on every side except for the one area where everyone could enter. Shuffling over into the darker part of the arena's grounds, they nodded to themselves, praying their sunglasses wouldn't get knocked off, purposely or accidentally. It would be a low blow to do it on purpose, since, if the light was bright enough on any surface or from any source, it could range from extremely annoying to agonizing. They turned around just in time for his question: "Are you ready or what?"

    Stretching out their arms in front of them and then behind them they finally nodded towards Nathan. "Sure, just try not to knock off my sunglasses," they warned. Angel planted their feet on the hard earth, planning to stand their ground in this mock-fight. They kept their hands tight on the grip of the wooden sword's hilt. The child of Hades waited for the son of Ares to get ready.

  • Toben- Centaur
    "Wow, a daughter of Poseidon?" Toben asked looking amazed. "Pardon the gawking ma'am, I just never though I'd see a child of the big three in person." He apologized immediately after the question for fear of making the young girl uncomfortable. "So you must love the ocean then? And horses I'm guessing?" He chuckled before looking down at his lower half jokingly.

    Zero Michel- Son of Hades
    "Yep!" Zero smiled and looked back at the smoking black skeleton that would give most kids nightmares, but then again Zero wasn't most kids. "He is friends with my daddy and he is taking me to the camping place! He is really super duper nice and is really good at tucking me in at night!" The little boy explained before looking back at the skeleton affectionately. "He's only mean to the monsters because he doesn't like them being mean to me."

    Orion Weiss- Son of Chione
    Orion cursed to himself as his leather bound copy of The Hobbit hit the sand, likely getting gritty shards everywhere and messing up the paper. He reached down to grab the book but found that the fellow he ran into had already beaten him to it. Standing up and looking at the boy he searched for a name but came up empty, probably because he spent most of his time avoiding other campers. Reaching out to take the book Orion shrugged his shoulders at Pierce's question. "I didn't think anyone was out here since it's breakfast time so I came out to stretch my legs and read." He admitted as he delicately brushed sand off of his book. "I guess I should have been watching where I was going." He added after a moment of keeping his eyes on his book only to look up at the boy in front of him.

    Maxie Weller- Daughter of Hephaestus
    "You know how I am Anna, no one sees my work until it's finished. Not even my siblings." Maxie smiled knowing that she was a bit of a perfectionist who dreaded anyone seeing one of her unfinished projects. "I think volleyball sounds like fun, it gives you a chance to stretch your legs without getting kicked in the chest." She pointed out and waved a piece of bacon as she spoke.

    Nikota Claire- Daughter of Ananke
    After seeing Xena turn back to talk to her sibling, Nikota picked up her plate of left over potato's and walked over to the fire. "Here mom." She uttered under her breath. Scraping the potato's into the flames the silver haired girl looked into the fire and smiled slightly. "Bet you weren't expecting that." She whispered. The saying was a joke between Ananke and her that she wasn't even sure if Ananke was aware of. For all she knew it could very well be a once sided part of their relationship.

    OOC:
    I'm really sorry for the lack of activity guys. My real life decided to blow up in my face over the past few days and I've sort of been scrambling around trying to recover.

  • [center]

    KATE;;

    OOC: It's okay hun! I'm sorry to hear about that. This is gon be a bit short n sweet cause I'm literally about to pass out but

    IC: kate blushed, then giggled. "It's okay. I get that a lot." She looked down at his horse half, then back up to his face. "I love both, yes." She laughed, raking a hand through her hair at the same time. "What about you? Do you like the ocean?"

    [center](c)trexgirl

  • Pierce shrugged nonchalantly. "Yeah, realistically I should have seen or heard you at the very least. I just finished breakfast and didn't feel like staying in the hall, I guess I was just stuck in my own thoughts." He admitted taking a deep breath. Feeling a bit awkward at what he was about to say but knowing what else he could say. "Sorry, I know most people around camp and I don't think you are new. But I can't seem to put a name to your face." He said clicking his tongue. "I'm Pierce." He said hoping with all he had that the boy in front of him didn't know who he was. Not bothering to put out his hand for a handshake, it was a bit to formal for this situation. Pierce could obviously see that Orion had a unique appearance. Although it didn't do much to off put him, the camp was full of unique people and creatures after all.

  • {Nathan}
    {Son of Ares}
    ~
    {Nathan's whole demeanor seemed to shift. His happy-go-lucky attitude was swallowed by a grim face and a calculating glance as he regarded Angel in swinging their weapon. Nathan figured he had the upper hand. He was taller, most likely stronger, just judging by their petite build. Still though. It was never safe to assume anything, especially against a child of the Big Three. His stance casually shifted as he planted his feet, but his muscular build still looked to the world quite relaxed.
    A bit of his usually mannerisms returned as he took on a look of bewilderment at Angel's request about their sunglasses. He wasn't sure, but Nathan thought they needed them for some reason? He had never been good with remembering things. Regardless, he flashed them a cheerful smile. "Okay, sure. I'll be as careful as I can," he promised.
    The smile slipped off his face and the blank expression returned as he suddenly darted towards them without further warning. Nathan swung the sword from the right, intending to catch their rib cage with a bruising blow.}

    son of demeter

    Ah, he should have known. Leif likes to know things about the campers that others potentially might know, but sometimes he simply missed out on the important information, such as the fact that Will wasn't an early bird like Leif himself.

    Feeling his cheeks burn with a pale pink shade, he casts his eyes down in mild embarrassment. It's one of those moments where Leif isn't sure if it should be known that the son of Aphrodite doesn't wake early. From the speed at which he comes into the dining pavilion and the sometimes sleepy look on his face, Leif should've assumed so.

    "Oh, right," a moment of silence before Leif finds something else to talk about, "what are you doing today?"
    Leif doesn't have a group of other campers he hangs out with. It isn't like the others in the Demeter cabin don't like him, he just doesn't fit in very well with them. Besides, he might hop between groups of friends so he can get to know as many people as possible.

  • (Again people they aren't petite, and i like to think they're roughly 5'10" to 6', but don't worry)
    They weren't moved by the mood shift, and tightened their grip on the sword to prepare for the mock fight. Their eyebrows knitted together as they took on their own grim expression, the corner of their mouth turned down. They tensed warily when he dashed towards them. Angel swung the sword to their right, and his left, to meet his sword. The weapons clashed but Angel's arms kept the sword up and in position. They attempted to twist his blade out of his hand.
