Within his first weeks of being here, Kazuto had discovered a way to avoid the annoyances of other campers. When you climb onto the roof of a cabin, especially the Ares cabin, no one seemed to notice nor bother you there very often except your half siblings. It was better than locking himself in the bathroom for some alone time. Three years later and it was still the most quiet place he could find to himself. He lay upon it now, dressed in the normal attire for someone like him. A dark red sleeveless shirt with a black logo on the front, jeans, combat boots and who could forget about his nodachi? With his earbuds in he couldn't even hear the campers chatting and yelling at each other below, replaced by music he had downloaded on his iPod. Phones were forbidden here, but that didn't mean he couldn't have some form of entertainment to drown out the dullness.

Rockelle had already been out for sometime. Being an early riser, she had always prefered to hunt in the early mornings and late nights. After walking for several minutes, Ember following loyally behind her, Rockelle had decided to climb up a tall tree, wanting to get a better view of the forest. With her hair tied in a messy bun in the back of her head, and her silver bow poised for attack, she focused on a doe. She suspected that the deer had strayed too far from her herd, distracted by leaves or something. Focusing her aim right on its neck, she closed an eye, and drew the string of her bow as far as her arm could go. Releasing her grip, the arrow shot swiftly and cleanly into the doe's neck. The female deer made a pitiful sound, and fell to the ground in defeat. Watching it writhe on the ground, she still felt unsatisfied. Being here, she hardly ever encountered an extremely satisfying kill. She dropped precariously from the tree, landing on her feet with her knees bent. Ember ran to the deer, barking. "Shh," She lightly scolded. The dog quickly silenced. She unsheathed her bronze dagger, ready to end the deer's misery. She dragged the dagger across its neck, draining most of her blood. She thanked the creature for giving its life to her. Rockelle always made a point to thank the beasts she killed, hoping that one day her actions will be rewarded.
Dragging the now deceased deer behind her, she headed back to Camp Half-blood, Ember eagerly following behind her. Rockelle didn't really know whether or not she could store this in her room, but didn't want it to go to waist.

{Xena}
{Daughter of Hecate}
~
{Feeling a fierce gaze burn into the back of her neck, the daughter of Hecate twisted her body around to gaze more clearly at the source. Not really surprised, she discovered the perpetrator to be the Nikota. There was a time when such a glare would cause her to flinch away, but that time had since long passed. Instead, she locked eyes with the girl and held the glare; not returned it, or tried to match it. She simply gazed steadily back at Nikota.}
{Aria}
{Daughter of Aphrodite}
~
{Aria blinked in slight surprise at Pierce's sudden departure, but shrugged slightly, turning to listen to Andrew with a smile. "Archery? That sounds like fun! But, not really my style," she admitted with a light laugh. "More of an Apollo kid thing, I suppose." Of course, just because the bow wasn't her weapon of choice didn't mean she wasn't a ranged user. Quite the contrary, Aria was particularly deadly with a set of sharp throwing knives and ample room to throw them. "I'm sure your practice session will go great!"}
{Seraphina}
{Daughter of Zeus}
~
{Ser had finished her breakfast and now was doing a bit of wandering around camp, casually greeting other people she knew. It seemed a lot of people were still getting settled in, which was to be expect, she guessed, given summer had really only just started and people were still arriving.}
{Nathan}
{Son of Ares}
~
{"Oh, cool. Well have fun with that!" Nathan informed them with a happy grin. He made to turn away, then froze, realizing they had been implying they might like a sparring partner. "Wait, did you want me to train with you or something?" he asked as he whipped back around, looking mildly alert now. "Yeah, I'd be happy to, if you want!" he declared, practically bouncing up and down.}
{Mavis}
{Daughter of Ares}
~
{"Hey." The voice came from the left edge of the Ares cabin roof, where only Mavis' upper body was visible. Her forms arms were propped against the tiling of the roof as she held herself up through upper body strength, careful not to fall. Her dark gaze was fixed intently on Kazuto. "Mm, thought I'd find you up here. You coming down to breakfast or not?" Even as she spoke, Mavis realized he had earbuds in, and probably couldn't hear her. Glancing around, she spotted a piece of loose tiling, picked it up, and chunked it at him.} -
Xander almost stopped in his tracks he was so surprised. However, he hurried to keep pace with her instead. "Three years?" he confirmed, his eyebrows up in his hairline. He knew most demigods didn't make it three days on their own against the monsters, but three years? "That's hardcore," he said, smiling a little at her. "And... really intense. You must be even tougher than you look if you haven't died yet." He rolled his shoulders and pushed aside a tree branch as he contemplated her. Xander was feeling pretty confident, if she adept enough to survive and fight for three years, that she was a child of Ares. They were apparently the best fighters (though he felt he could best most of them) which would match up well with River's survival levels.
"Oh gosh, but I only have two hands!" Cordelia laughed, quickly trying to come up with an effective way of holding all three baby animals. "Seems like managing these three must be a full time job for you!" she commented to Fay, looking at her breakfast selections. Cordelia also enjoyed star fruit. "Cedar, Ash, and Oak?" she inquired, looked at each animal in turn. "They're all named after trees?" she asked with a smile, thinking it was a cool name scheme to follow.

OOC: Happy to oblige, dear! So, it's the third day of summer and everyone is still getting settled in at Camp! Everyone is having a nice, early morning! Xena and Nikota are currently having some sort of bizarre staring contest in the mess hall, while Cordelia and Fay are eating their breakfast and chatting. Angel and Nathan are shaping up to train together, while Aria and Will are heading around talking to people. Kiara and Zero are petting Kiara's kitten at the border, and Orion and Seraphina are wondering. Aurora has just sat down at the Hecate table. Mavis and Kazuto are on top of the Ares cabin, Eileen and Jared are still asleep. Andrew is currently engaged in a conversation with Aria, while Anna is chatting it up with Maxie. Pierce just left the mess hall and is wondering camp, and about a mile away, Xander and River are in route to join us. Rockelle is on her way back from a hunt. May I suggest Kate join everyone in the mess hall for breakfast? :)
-
The edge of their mouth quirked up, and they nodded. "Yeah," Angel answered "Just about to go so if you want to finish eating or something that's fine." They expected the hyperactive son of Ares to finish his breakfast since they always supposed that he would get sidetracked. They themselves did at times, thanks to ADHD, and was nowhere near as hyper as him. Usually they would get annoyed by people who were as hyper as him, at least that was when they were eleven and didn't quite know how dangerous their life could be. Now they found it near hopeful that someone could appear to be so optimistic, and a good few of the campers were that optimistic.
They continued to mess with their small puzzle-cube. They'd halfway finished it, unbeknownst to them. Half the time they messed with the small cube they just ran their fingers over the small scuff marks and grooves. -
The music blaring through the earbuds drowned out most of the commotion in the camp, leaving him to just observe their interactions. That's what he did until he had laid down, then which he turned to just watching the sky peacefully. Something hard and rough slammed at full impact on his exposed biscep, feeling more like a slap from his siblings. Those hurt. A stream of curses left his mouth following the impact and his hand instinctly went to the contact point, already it was growing red. "Motherf-" He removed is earbuds with one grab of his hand and abruptly sat up to face his attacker. "What the hell-! Mavis! Seriously!"

HONEY, WITH YOUOOC: Just what I was thinking ;)
IC: Kate casually walked into the mess hall, her tummy grumbling while her eyes scanned for food. Surprisingly, she was actually fully awake this time, which even caught her off guard. She went and grabbed herself a plate and loaded it up with almost everything she found appealing - aka, everything she could see. After filling up her plate and grabbing a glass of water, she turned around and scanned the room for a place to sit. She felt comfortable with her surroundings - not only was she wearing clothes she was happy with, but everyone and everything seemed so normal to her. The food smelled delicious, the people looked welcoming and friendly. It almost made her miss home, but she brushed the thought aside and focused on how she would greet her new friends. 'Hi, I'm Kate. Nice to meet you'. She mentally shook her head. Pulling in a deep breath, she decided that whatever happened would happen.

((Sorry Pierce has been all antisocial n'stuff. I'm trying to stay true to his character for once because I kinda suck at doing that. And I'm just trying to get back into the habit of writing as well.))
Pierce chuckled to himself as he something finally caught his attention. He had been wandering aimlessly for the most part but this surely brought back memories. The rock climbing wall. It was known that you were usually expected to have someone to spot for you while climbing because the incentives tended to be quite dangerous. Yet he decided he would be fine and walked up to the bottom. There were levels to the walls and one of them made you feel like you were climbing up an actual volcano about to erupt. Now most campers had mastered the wall simply because you sorta have to succeed. Its lava and boulders or falling off from a very high point. Most preferred the latter. He remembered in his first few days he overestimated his skills, something he hardly did and justly so a good portion of his hair was singed making him look like a fool for weeks. Luckily his clothes were fine but he didn't return to that wall for a long time.Finally he grabbed onto the first part of the wall. He smiled as he heard the rumbling of the wall moving knowing when that noise stopped he would be in for a whole lot of pain. Yet he worried little, every official camp activity he can say pretty confidently he had mastered. And in a flash he flew up the wall, never losing momentum and skipping holds as he moved up. Soon enough he reached he top and the wall had stopped. He made good time certainly having some to spare. Although still felt a small bit rusty and decided he would sharpen his skills tomorrow. For now though he decided to head back to his cabin. Once there faintly noticing the commotion at the Ares cabin but ignoring it regardless. He simply laid down on his bed, thinking and relaxing. Finding it nice to have the quiet cabin all to himself as everyone else was at the mess hall.

River Magnus- Daughter of Ares & Aphrodite
Upon hearing Xander's reaction to the amount of time she has spent on her own, River turned her head slightly to look at him, her right eyebrow raised in question. "Yes, three years." She confirmed and was a bit surprised by being called 'hard core' for surviving so long. "Why? How long have you been on your own?" She asked. It hadn't seemed odd to River for her to be fending for herself for so long, after all this had become her life. Every day was the same, wake up if she had slept at all, try and find something to eat if there was time, get rid of any proof that she had been there and then keep moving onward in order to try and stay ahead of the monsters that were always chasing her. It helped that her mother taught her basic survival skills when she was young and took time to teach her how to defend herself. But River had always thought that the lessons would only ever be used if she was attacked by a mugger, not a one eyed monster that wanted to turn her into jelly.Fay- Nymph/ Daughter of Pan
Fay couldn't help but laugh as the three infants crowded around Cordelia, all of them clearly demanding attention from the daughter of Poseidon. "Well perhaps to you it might seem like a job, but for me it is what I have always done." She chuckled and reached over to pat her baby animals on the head. "In the rain forest nymphs often help to look after the younger animals, especially the ones with out Mães." She explained. "I mean mothers." She corrected after noticing she had slipped into her native tongue once again. "When I was sent to this camp these three were already imprinted on me and so they had to come along. The journey would of been far more difficult for me if I had left them behind." She added giving the jaguars and orangutan an affectionate smile. "Haha, yes they are all named after trees that I heard existed in North America."Zero Michel- Son of Hades
"My daddy told me that there was a place to go camping out here!" Zero replied looking excited at the idea of living in a tent and eating marshmallows every night. "He said it was a place where special kids like me could live and have fun together! Plus mommy is sick and Grammy is looking after her so I decided to go on an adventure until mommy gets better!" He added and squeaked in surprise when Myaro started purring. "The kitten is shaking! Is she okay?" He asked looking worried.Maxie Weller- Daughter of Hephaestus
"Haha, yeah, I've been up in the work shop since before dawn this morning." Maxie laughed with a slight shrug towards Anna. "You know how us children of Hephaestus are, when we get an idea in our heads we drop everything and get to work on it!" She smiled and leaned forward a bit to better hear the girl at the table across from hers. "So what are you up to today? Any big plans?"Nikota Claire- Daughter of Ananke
Nikota had to admit that she was surprised when Xena simply returned the glare rather than moving further away. It wasn't often that others would decide to glare back at her. Most of the time they would turn around and move away from the crazy girl sitting alone. Nikota sort of liked her spirit.Toben- Centaur
"Well howdy there Ms. Kate." Toben greeted with a tip of his cowboy hat as he clopped across the pavilion to where the young lady was seated. The young centaur gave her a charming smile as he came to a stop beside her table. "Excuse me, where are my manners. My name's Toben." He introduced with his honeyed southern accent and offered his and to her for a friendly shake.Orion Weiss- Son of Chione
(Maybe Orion and Pierce could run into each other so that then they have someone to interact with? Orion is anti-social too.) -
Kiara laughs softly. "She's just purring, love. She does that when she's happy." She murmurs. "My daddy sent me to go to camp too, that's so cool!" She smiles at him, as Myaro licks his fingertip.
-
HONEY, WITH YOUOOC: Ngl I got v excited when I read that Toben was talking to Kate LOL
IC: Kate looked up from her breakfast and tried to swallow her food as politely as possible. She then gave him a small, toothless smile, taking his hand and giving it a firm shake. "Pleasure to meet you, Toben." she replied. "I'm Kate, but you already knew that." She felt her cheeks get hot for a moment, but the feeling faded as fast as it arrived.

Aurora eyed the pair next to her--Xena...What? Why are they just...glaring at each other? There were definitely strange occurrences but this took the cake, especially considering her morning breakfast today would be cake. She gathered all her books together into a neat pile, then slowly began to clean them with an open hand over them, nitpicking over every speck of dirt. Sure, she could make things easier and just finish it quickly, but she was trying to ignore how bored she actually was. Though, all things considered, watching the two glare at each other was starting to get amusing, actually. She shifted in her chair idly, then smirked at Nikota while remarking slyly, "What is this, another Cold War? Staring contests never really did much good, or so they say." She leaned back against the tabletop, crossed her legs, then began to hum an ominous tune, directed at the two.

((Sure Sanctuary! Do you have any specific ideas? Or do you just wanna see what happens?))
Pierce after a decent amount of time inevitably grew bored. He really needed something to do in his downtime. Although for now he just made his way back outside. Today was a bit hotter then usual so he made his way over to the sea. He wasn't a son of Poseidon or anything but he still found it a calming force. It was a good representation of balance, sometimes appearing as a calm and near silent force. And at other times becoming ferocious and brutal engulfing anything that got stuck in it. -
Xander blinked. One heart beat slammed between the two before he answered. "What, me? Oh you know... About half an hour by now. Give or take." He wasn't sure how he'd overlooked it, but that was the one thing he had overlooked to fabricate an answer for. Perhaps it was because... Oh, that's right. "Yeah, like I was saying. My mother dumped me off at a road station a little ways since, and I've just sorta been... walking," he finished lamely. Technically, both answers were lies. He'd left home several days ago. But his cab driver had peeled out approximately thirty minutes before, so there was some truth to his answer. The tidbit about his mother though... "Anyway, definitely haven't been out here as long as you," he said with a joking smile as he sidestepped the trunk of a tree.
"Wow, that sounds really neat! Back home, oh that's Maine by the way, there's a stable near where I live, and kids come from all over town to help take care of the horses there, learn to ride them and whatnot," Cordelia chattered conversationally as she reached down to give Ceader and Ash some friendly pets and pats as well. "I'd love to visit the rain forest someday though. You make it sound like such a vibrant place!"

{Xena}
{Daughter of Hecate}
~
{"Hm?" So engaged was she in looking at Nikota, Xena hadn't even realized Aurora had joined her. Shifting her gaze from Nikota across the way to Aurora across from her, she said, "It's not so much a staring contest. We're not really at war either. We're just... looking at each other..." She trailed off, realizing how silly it must sound to her sibling. "She's just... alone." Xena murmured, sighing a little, then attempting to smile at Aurora. "How's your morning?" Even as she asked, he threw one more glance Nikota's way, but this one contained a smile. Everyone need one every now and again.}{Mavis}
{Daughter of Ares}
~
{"Oh, good. I have your attention now," Mavis replied, sounding mildly amused. "That's a good way to let someone sneak up on you. Give them the upper hand." Her dark eyes seemed to be burning into Kazuto. She shifted on her forearms. "Anyways, are you going to eat breakfast or not? It'll be over soon, and there'll be no more food till lunch. Unless you buy it from the Hermes kids..." she added as an after thought.} -
His anger could be clearly seen by the way he folded up the cord to his iPod and stuffed it in his pocket. With a final rub of his sore arm, Kazuto placed his hand against the roof to give him support as he stood. "That doesn't mean hit me with a piece of the roof," He scolded with a hard expression. He was fond of his half siblings, yes, but sometimes they irked him even more than others in the camp. As he carefully walked over to her side of the roof, he made a face at the mention of the Hermes kids. "I bought food from them once, never again. I got a pink tongue and they got a nice, big black eye."

OOC: when you really wanna respond but the character your character is talking with hasn't responded yet
Angel's sheath was angled so they it nearly pointed behind them at a 45 degree angle. The hilt was the only thing of their sword that was visible. A notable detail of the hilt was that it was designed to look like Hades' symbol. The entire symbol looked a lot like a ballerina so they called the round, incomplete circle part of the hilt the arms, that rounded up to the side of the blade and would go over the sides of the sheath. The head-ish part was engraved on what would be a normal hilt and smoothed out to even with the rest of the base where the arms came out. About an inch under the arms though, the "tu-tu" signified where the actual grip of the hilt began. Unlike the normal symbol though, where the "legs" shortened to a point, they were thick and had a little what they called an out-crop at the end so the user's hands wouldn't slip.
Unlike what most people would probably expect of them, Angel wasn't small, or petite, or delicate. They weren't any of those stereotypical adjectives that a stereotypical guy would expect a stereotypical girl (or just someone feminine) to be like. Years of training had left them toned, yet the days outside in the usually not-so-cloudy, which they found disappointing, they were still pale. In the sun the brown in their dark hair actually showed up, and ended up a similar color to their chestnut-colored eyes. -
River Magnus- Daughter of Ares & Aphrodite
"Yeah, definitely." River agreed and winced as a bush branch dragged across her make shift bandage causing some major discomfort to the wound underneath. "Sorry your mom dumped you at a random road side station." She breathed through slightly gritted teeth as she tried to keep herself moving in order to keep her mind off of her injured leg. "I hope you don't mind me saying this, but that's just not right for a parent to do to their child. No matter the circumstances." She voiced knowing that Xander seemed grown up enough to handle to comment. Younger kids might get up in arms about someone calling out their parent in such a way, but River had an odd feeling that Xander wasn't like that.Fay- Nymph/ Daughter of Pan
"It is wonderful that there are places like your horse place that exist. So many animals deserve that same respect that humans are capable of giving to each other." Fay sighed with a small smile. Her smile faltered slightly when she heard Cordelia's comment about visiting the rain forest and seeing its beauty for herself. "I fear that the beauty I know might not exist for much longer. Terrible men have been tearing it apart for years. That is why I was sent here, because my mother did not want me to get hurt. The other nymphs stay behind to help the forest grow again." She admitted with a look of sorrow in her eyes as she spoke.Zero Michel- Son of Hades
Adorable giggles escaped Zero's smiling lips as Myaro's rough tongue tickled his fingers by licking them. "Her tongue feels weird." He laughed and continued to pet the kitten. Looking up at Kiara with bright silver eyes the young boy's smile grew even wider if it were possible. "So you are going camping too!?" He gasped with pure excitement. "Yay!" The small blonde boy cheered. "Chez told me that the camping place was just over that hill there with the pine tree! He said that on the other side there was going to be lots of other kids to play with and strawberries too!"Nikota Claire- Daughter of Ananke
When another child of the magic goddess sat down next to Xena, Nikota was tempted to look away but stopped when she saw the girl smirk at her. She'd better wipe that smirk of her face or- Or you'll let me have sssssome fun? A hissing voice asked in the back of her mind. Nikota knew instantly that it was Boros, her constant companion and protector who lived as an ink image of a snake on her body and who could spring to life in the blink of an eye at her will. No you idiot! What have I told you? Monsters are enemies, not campers! Nikota scolded with a roll of her eyes. Well excusssse me! The snake hissed back before falling silent again. Nikota sighed softly to herself before returning her eyes to the Hecate table just as Xena smiled at her. Wait what?
Toben- Centaur
"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Ms. Kate." Toben replied with a smile and shook her hand when she placed it in his. "I'll ask that you pardon my abruptness but it's my first day here and I was hoping to get to know people so...would you mind tell'n me a little bit about your self?" He asked with charming manners as he released her hand from the shake and took his hat off to run his fingers through his hair nervously.Orion Weiss- Son of Chione
(I was thinking they could actually run into each other hahaha!)
Orion opened his book as he walked along the beach next to the cold water. The days were growing hotter so any chance they young man had to be near something that was a source of cold was greatly appreciated. As he walked down the beach with his nose buried in the pages of his book Orion failed to pay attention to where he was walking. One moment the white haired boy was lost in the world of stories, the next he was bumping into something quite solid, maybe human, and fumbling backwards. "Oh shoot!" He gasped has his book fell into the sand.
