  • He stealthily padded around the camp, fluffy tail sticking straight out as his ears swiveled forward to catch the slightest sounds. He had been playing this game by himself for a while, and it satisfied his needs well. He'd take breaks to diligently watch the older BlizzardClanners so he could know all he could about this place. Now, Germanicus pretended he was in the thick of BlizzardClan territory instead of the camp. He saw a smooth stone and crept toward it, lowering his body to the ground. It was the perfect target for his imaginary prey. He imagined it as a mouse, no, a rabbit. No, a bird! A large bird with long caramel-hued feathers and a huge, deadly beak!

The black smoke leapt and landed on the rock, pain flashing in his tiny paws as they hit the hard surface. He winced, but quickly got over it as he realized that he had successfully caught the 'bird'. He purred and took a few moments to bask in his private glory before letting out a loud yawn, sliding down the rock and leaning against it. He licked his paw and drew it over his ear slowly, eyes blinking as he struggled against another yawn.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px][font=helvetica][align=justify]While Germanicus may have thought his victory had been private, Somnia found herself sharing his personal achievement from afar. She watched the youngster with kind, glittering eyes from afar, laughing briefly with every exaggerated movement and wincing with every hard hit that the kitten had gained. She seemed to empathize immediately with him, a trait that seemed good at first but would soon end her in trouble. For, when she began to understand the emotions of those that held none of the same regard for her, she ended up becoming a doormat before she realized it and Somnia would never have the strength to remove herself from that.

Having briefly drifted off on a silent tangent, the dragon soon returned to find that germanicus now lounged against the very rock he had dropped upon. She yawned as soon as she saw the other doing so, albeit finding her yawn to be much wider and a bit louder than the younger clanmates. Soon, Somnia was now draped across the very rock the kitten leaned against, her sleepy aura probably doing nothing to help his exhaustion. "Mmm, what did you catch...?" she wondered with a hint of humor, smiling genuinely. "I hope you didn't hit your arms too hard though... myu..."

  • Of course, Somnia's appearance did little to help him with his drowsiness. Free of his mother's iron grip, he took it upon himself to monitor his bedtimes and naps. He did his best to follow her example, but he was only a child and was easily tempted by staying up late or refusing to take a nap in favor of a trying out new game he had made up. That had happened today.

Germanicus stepped away from the rock when Somnia appeared and laid down on it. "I'm fine. It was a bird. A big one." He responded, eager to prove his skills. After days of sitting on the sidelines and watching the Clan interact and grow, he was starting to become more and more determined to set his mark on BlizzardClan, but he was having trouble shaking off his initial shyness and quietness. Somnia was easy to talk to. She had a nice voice and appearance, and he had met her before.

"And you're squashing it right now!" He huffed in a humorous tone, as he really wouldn't mind her "squashing" his imaginary bird. What he was more intent on was the privilege of snuggling up in Somnia's starry fur. He told himself to be good and polite, ask for permission first. "Can I get up there with you?"
