  • Ooc: okay and I'm sorry if it's small
    Name: Amelia Owen-Jennings
    Nickname: either Mia or OJ
    Age: 17
    Image: below
Personality: Amelia is actually a rather excitable student who is always there to help out those who need it. Also she wants people to try their best at things like if someone got a part in a play that she wanted, she just wants them to do best that they can be.
History: Amelia has always been in theater since she was about maybe 5 or so, she has been in about maybe 6 shows in that time and always wants to try out for any show that she can be a part of. If she couldn't act in the show, she would help backstage.

  • Appearance; Lynn is fairly tall. Most of her height comes from her legs. She has light brown eyes with just a small hint of green. Her teeth are fairly straight and white since she maintains good hygiene. She always feels so gross on the days she can't find water to wash her face, etc. Sadly, that's most days, so you'll usually find her in an irritated mood. Lynn's smile is playful and cute, but when she gets serious, she has a whole different vibe to her. Her light-brown hair falls just above her abdomen and she usually ties it in a bun so it's easier for her to move around without worrying about it. One side of her head is shaved with straight lines running along it. She only does her hair like that for irony reasons to emphasize the scars along her eyebrow. She got those a long time ago, being a reckless little kid. She still is reckless in a sense. Her lips are thin and her nose is quiet. She has a slight twitch that occurs either when she's nervous or deep in thought. Lynn is also very fit since she runs a lot when she's stressed, though she's faster than she is strong.

Full Name; Close friend call her Lyndsey Gunnulfsen but most call her Lynn Gunn

    Age; 17

Personality; She's usually very calm and collected in difficult situations but she can be quite aggressive. Her aggressive side can appear funny or scary depending on how you look at it or if you're the one she's mad at. She's very very open minded, open hearted, and understanding. Lynn can occasionally get philosophical. She thinks about deep sh*t sometimes. Her face tends to twitch a lot when she's getting really into her thoughts. She's smart, but she tends to spend her time getting into trouble due to her reckless behavior. The only reason she's even doing the damn show is cause she has to get the credit. She was never into drama, yetsomehow managed to get the lead. Sometimes Lynn will pick fiights/arguments simply out of boredom and irritation. Despite her slight aggression, she's actually extremely nice and caring. She thinks about others and puts their needs before hers (Again, depends on the situation). If they have earned her respect or shown her any respect at all, she can be the sweetest soul you know. However, if you want to be rude to her and get on her bad side, that's when she might pick a fight.

Other: Alrighttttt here's my form. Yours is also perfectly fine, just go ahead and start the roleplay whenever!

  • Ooc: alright, I'll start it,

Ic: Ah, November, the time when the sun sets early, the leaves have gathered along on the ground and Rosewood high school was getting ready for auditions for the winter play of Romeo and Juliet. Many of the drama kids were excited and now were waiting to be called into the classroom of Ms. Holly, the drama teacher and director of the production. Amelia was among those that were waiting and she ran over the monologue she was memorizing to past the time. She looked over at the others auditioning, noticing quite a few familiar faces, but one caught her eye.

She had black hair that was almost as long as hers and had striking brown eyes that seemed to bore into one's soul. She had seen her walking down the halls from time to time and she had seen her in a fight or two, but never really intervened. She looked over at the door of the room waiting to see someone poke their head out to call out a name and then back at the girl before deciding to move towards her, curiosity taking over her mind. "Um hi there, I'm Amelia. Who are you?" she asked with a small smile.

  • Upon hearing a voice, Lynn looked up from the script in her hands. She did not want to be here, yet she had no choice. She needed the credit if she wanted to get her diploma. The girl who was speaking to her had intensely red hair. Apparently her name was Amelia. She'd seen the girl around school before but they'd never spoken. Probably because the two had entirely different hobbies and interests. The only thing Lynn participated in after school was track, but now she had no choice but to be in the school play. All other art classes were full. She did enjoy drawing, but that class had a long waiting list, so she didn't even bother signing up.

"I'm Lyndsey," She gave a small smile, running a hand through her hair.

  • Amelia looked at her for a moment and could tell that she didn't want to be here at all, but still needed to be there. Ah, she's one of the kids that needs an art credit she figured which did kind of annoy her, but maybe she would surprise her and be really good on stage. "Well it's nice to meet you Lyndsey, so is there any role in particular that you're trying out for or are you just trying to get anything that you can?" she asked trying to start conversation as another kid was called into the room and the crowd slowly started to grow smaller.

  • "Just whatever I can get." Lynn said, looking at the door as it opened yet again.
"Lyndsey Goonalfsin?" The teacher asked, her voice questioning.
"It's Gunnulfsen." Lynn said, standing up and walking towards the door. Upon getting inside, all she did was read her lines the way she was told to read them and moved to how the script said to move. When finished reading the dialogue, she gave a smile at the crew while they thanked her for her time and she exited the area as quickly as she could.
"Good luck." She muttered to Amelia as she walked back out the waiting room and into the hallway. Glad that's over, Lynn thought. Hopefully she didn't get much of an important role.

(If you wanna skip to the first rehearsal after your audition, I don't mind. Otherwise, I'll probably do it in my next post.)

  • Amelia watched as she walked into the classroom and leave in almost a span of 5 minutes. She heard her mutter good luck before heading out while Amelia called out "it's break a leg," but she was too far away to hear. Ms. Holly poked her head out and called "Amelia Owen-Jennings." She got from her chair and entered the room. She read her lines and moved the way she saw fit for the scene. When she was finished, she smiled as they thanked her for auditioning before leaving the room.

A week after the auditions, it became time for the first rehearsal. Amelia hadn't gotten in the production, but she was still there because she was stage manager and needed to know who was going to be in the production. The rehearsal started when Ms. Holly introduced herself and had everyone introduce themselves, what role they had and give a fact about themselves. Amelia noticed that Lyndsey was in the room and smiled to see that she made it in. I wonder what she got she thought.

  • Walking in the auditorium, Lynn noticed everyone sitting in a circle. Joining the group, she stretched her legs out in front of her and leaned back with her arms supporting her. She had gotten cast as Juliet, but she was an understudy, so it wasn't a big deal, right? Sure, she'd have to learn the lines and all but she wouldn't have to actually perform or anything. When they went around, some girl, Alison, explain how she got the role of Juliet, and another kid, Brian, got Romeo.
When they finally reach Lynn, shifted a little before talking, "Uh, I'm Lyndsey. Got the role of understudy for Juliet" She gave a small smile, fixing her posture. She twitched lightly, her eyes and nose scrunching together, "A fact about me?" She looked at Ms. Holly, making sure she was going about this right. Whens he received a small nod from the teacher, Lynn continued, "I like to run a lot, I guess." She shrugged, turning to the person next to her to go.

  • A few kids continued to tell their names and what roles they had gotten after Lynn had said that she was the understudy for Juliet. She got understudy for the female lead? Dang, she must be good Amelia thought when it came to her turn. "I'm Amelia, I'm gonna be your stage manager and well this is my first time working back stage" said Amelia and the circle continued to go until it returned to Ms. Holly who gave them all a smile.

"Alright, now that we've gotten to know each other, it's time that we start practice. So since this is the first one, we're going to have a read-thru. Amelia, could you hand out the scripts to everyone?" she asked to which Amelia nodded. She grabbed the box of scripts and handed them out to all the actors. When she made to Lynn, she gave her a smile.

"Congrats on being the understudy of the female lead" she whispered before moving on to the next person.

  • Taking a script, Lynn returned the smile. Once they all got the script, people started highlighting their lines and flipping through the pages. Finally, the first line of the script was read the acting commenced. Lynn and a few people in the circle were left there just watching. It was pretty boring, honestly. Sure, she was glad she didn't have to get up on stage but she also had to remember her lines by herself, rather than through rehearsal. Which also meant she had to pay attention to the staging rehearsals. But today? Not so important. So, Lyndsey pulled out her phone and just scrolled through it.

  • Amelia listened as the others started reading off their scripts in their own semi circle off to the side. The other understudies were scattered off in different parts of the auditorium and she was able to spot Lynn on her phone. She walked over to her and sat down next to her. "So how are you dealing with Shakespeare's old English?" she asked since they were using the original text for the play.

  • Lynn have a little chuckle at the girls question, "Is it even considered a form of english?" she scratched the back of her head, "I mean, I understand it, sort of. It's gonna be really hard to remember, though." she turning her phone off, putting it in her pocket to give the girl her full attention.

  • Amelia nodded knowing that the language was difficult to understand at first. "Well, maybe I can help you run through your lines, you know if you want to that is" she offered. She didn't have much to do anyway, so she thought maybe running through lines would be a good way to spend her time and she wanted to get to know this Lynn girl a bit more

  • "Yeah, that's cool." Lynn said, though she sounded a little unenthusiastic about this who 'being part of a play' idea. Sitting up straight, she flipped through the first few pages until she found her lines and began to read them off.

  • Amelia heard her read the lines and frowned slightly. "Lynn, don't just read the lines like you would from a textbook. Read them with passion. Look, you're in the scene where Juliet just found out she's going to marry Paris. Read it like if your mom told you you had to do a thing you hated and you didn't want to go along with it" she suggested

  • "Alright." Lynn sighed, reading the lines over, before stopping midway. "Why do I even have to memorize this stuff? I'm just an understudy?" Lynn scratched the back of her head, partially closing her script, though keeping her thumb on the page to not lose it.

  • "Well you need to memorize because Alison could end up sick or injured on one of the nights of the show and you're our last resort. We are strong believers in the 'the sow must go on' mentality" she explained

  • Lynn nodded lightly, "Yeah, I guess that makes sense, but that doesn't happen often, does it?" She asked, then shaking her head, dismissing the question, "Whatever," Lynn shrugged, "As long as this adaptation doesn't have a kissing scene." She stuck out her tongue, jokingly, in disgust. "I'm not kissing Brian." she laughed, opening the script back up.

  • "Yeah, I can agree with that. Though I'm sure Alison is ready for that kiss scene, she's had a crush on Brian since the 6th grade. Me, I think Brian is overrated and she can go and have him, I don't really care. So Lynn, what's your love life like?" he asked
