  • though she hadn't been told to do so by maplefur, particularly considering their meeting was later than usual, freckleface had taken up the role of weekly tasks for a few weeks, and she fancied it would be good to continue it. the clan could used a pattern, and more activity, and she was always there to provide as much. besides, it'd been fun the last time - so why not continue it?

"weekly tasks!" she sung as she entered the camp, a smile bright upon the fem's features. "tasks for everyone of all ages. if you want one, just ask; one at a time, keep coming back and keep getting more. who's up?" she inquired, clearing her throat and taking a seat.

  • Well, Wildkit really did need something to do, and even though he wasn't one for doing things productive, perhaps these tasks might be something enjoyable? He was very worried about screwing up his task and making a fool of himself, but he would look even more like a fool if he didn't take part. So the child came over, announcing, "I'll take one!" he added in a lower voice, with pleading, odd coloured eyes, "Something fun, please? Something I'm good at? Not like I'm not good at everything, heh..."

  • Fawnpaw trotted over, a light smile directed towards Freckleface. She hadn't done any tasks since she became an apprentice, so it would be interesting to see what the older warrior told her to do. "Can I have one, please?"

  • berrykit had never heard of weekly tasks. the word task wasn't in her vocabulary, mostly because she was pretty young and had no need to learn words. after all, a warrior didn't have to be good at speaking. they just had to be good at hunting and fighting. she wasn't planning on becoming leader any time soon.

seeing as wildkit said he would take a task, berrykit felt compelled to compete with the tom. "i want one, too!" she meowed, looking up at freckleface. freckleface was really nice, and she was smart. she would probably become deputy once maplefur became maplestar. she really deserved it. she was extremely involved with the clan, and she had a lot of friends. berrykit wanted to be like freckleface one day.

  • her gaze fell upon her adoptive son, and the warrior smiled. she took a moment to think of something that would play up to the young tom's strengths, and found herself hoping she'd discovered a reasonable one. "wildkit, how about you organize a big game? anyone can join - chose a game or just make one up." she told him, hoping he would like it; she hated to see him unhappy.

turning to fawnpaw, freckleface smiled at the young girl and tipped her head from side to side, considering. "how about you teach the clan some poisons, and how to identify them? any of the ones you know - i don't want anyone swallowing foxgloves thinking they're poppyseeds."

next, her gaze settled on berrykit. the girl was an agreeable one - smart and kind enough. in a way, the little girl reminded freckleface of herself when she was younger - but a bit more outgoing. it was strange, to remember that she'd once been shy and socially awkward. "berrykit, how about you tell everyone a story? come up with something awesome, something that'll make elders envy your skills."

  • Amberkit scampered up excitedly, his brown eyes shining and ear twitching, he slowed down and sat across from Freckleface, “momma! Momma! Can I have one?” he asked, bouncing from one paw to the other, so excited he could hardly contain it.
    “Speech!”

  • A game, huh? Frankly, it would be difficult for the very picky Wildkit to choose one. He kinda wished Freckleface had given him another task, and he expressed his dislike with a simple narrow of his odd coloured eyes. Best let his adoptive mother know that he didn't like this without showing anyone that he was actually just getting nervous and struggling with the decision of what game to play. "I guess I'm off to do the task you gave me."He told Freckleface, and off he went.

I'LL MAKE YOU SICK (open, hide and seek)

  • && Blue fur makes it's way over to the gathered group, green eyes curiously looking over the others before settling on his mother. His ears swiveled around to catch the conversations going on around him, just to get an idea of what was going on, before he smiled slightly and opened his maw to speak himself. "Freckleface, would it be possible to entrust me with a task as well? If not, I understand." He said it simply, tone respectful but also extremely hopeful. He was getting to that age where he needed to do things in order to keep himself from going crazy out of boredom.

  • "I'd like a task as well, if you wouldn't mind." Runningspirit meowed as he came over, dipping his head a bit to Freckleface.

the fem turned to her adopted sons, in turn smiling at each of the two. she had to take a minute to think of another one, more kit-appropriate tasks, but finally settled on a few that still stayed within camp. "berrykit, can you do me a huge favor and take all the dirty moss out of the nursery? i know it's an apprentice's task, but i think you might be smart enough to handle it. and amberkit, can you organize a game of moss ball tonight? i think everyone could use some fun after a day's work." she told the two, smiling at them in turn.

then, freckleface turned to runningspirit and smiled at the tom. "ah, runningspirit - would you also mind telling everyone a story? perhaps from the time you spent outside of windclan - i'm sure everyone would find it to be interesting." she inquired, tone hopeful. she was interested herself; at twenty moons old, she'd never been outside of her clan, and though she held no desire to leave, she was certainly curious.
