The "Wild West"
"Everyone out there has a gun, even some of the women... and if you insult any one, it won't go too well in your favor. As they say, 'An armed society is a polite society...' So why go out to the west, where a single bad word against another man could get you shot, and making a life is hard, dangerous, and of course tiring? Because it's exhilarating. There's nothing like drawing a gun on another man and opening fire, knowing both of you could be shot down by the either, like hunting down a local injun tribe because the sheriff wants 'em gone. Course you should know that already shouldn't you, feller? You're planning to head out into that area and all, on an interesting little train..." The pile of rags which had turned out to be a homeless man lets out a stereotypical, hill billy laugh, "You're gonna find out what happens out there, I gare-in-tee it!"
The encounter with the home less man done, you board your train to Nevada, heading out to a relatively small town on the frontier to find a new life. No matter who you are, you don't have much less from paying for this trip, women cling to what few sentimental or valuable items they have, men already making indents in their hats as they take them off. It was time for a new life on the frontier, a life hunting down Native Americans perhaps, or other people who'd gained enough notoriety to be wanted, maybe you'd become one of those fellows yourselves. Maybe you'd work with cattle, or grab a job at the local saloon or bank, live a more quiet life out in the west, of course no life out on the frontier was quiet, because every man had to get a gun, and every woman had to find a man with a gun to protect them. You were heading to a life of chaos and you knew it, but the feeling filled you with a great surging anxiousness, but not the bad kind, the kind that makes you want to experience things already, get the adventure done with.
If you've read through that introduction, I welcome you warmly to my little thread! The reason I've created this is because I've never seen such a thread on this sight before, as people tend to be more inclined towards a fantasy or historically accurate medieval thread. I wanted to make something about the 'Wild West' because it truly was wild, with men who had normally crippling diseases becoming some of the best gun fighters, and some men killing multiple people before they even turned twenty! What year it is specifically is unimportant, the wild west was always a land of chaos during the time it was truly alive.
Rules o' the west.
These are not actual rules for the roleplay, but some you must remember in character to stay out of trouble!
1. Never touch another man's hat. The reason why is that most men after selling everything only had their hat left when they came to the west.
2. Never insult a man, everyone's armed, which means everyone's polite.
3. Never insult or hit a lady, you'll be dead faster than if you spat in a gun slinger's face.
4. Don't trust anyone, everyone's for themselves.
5. No one is safe.
The rules of the thread.
1. Nobody's perfect, no Mary Sue characters.
2. I don't care how the genders are balanced, but I suggest being a man, women usually didn't have too many options.
3. If you get shot somewhere vital, you either get rushed to a surgeon immediately, or it's game over. Bullets do not forgive.
4. What I say is law.
5. If you read this, you don't need to add anything extra.
6. No one is safe, characters could die at any time, but you are ALWAYS welcome to make a new one.
7. Keep things PG-13, fade in and out as necessary, and star out words if you swear. Don't swear like a drunken sailor.

My application
1. Your name: Noah David Morris
2. Your previous occupation: Banker
3. Your age: 27
4. Your gender: Male
5. Appearance: Standing at 5'10 with pitch black hair and a build typical of people who fill the application he once had, he isn't a particularly intimidating figure with piercing blue eyes. He wears the familiar ten gallon hat of the west, indented by all the times it's been plucked it off a head, the sign of a man who's been out on the frontier for some time. The hat is not his of course, but of a dead friend's, the same friend he intends to avenge. He typically wears fairly nice clothing which goes against the hat, complete with a mustache befitting a villain from a silent film.
6. Personality: Despite his often considered comical appearance, he is bitter towards his enemies and generally a negative person, looking at the dark side of things rather than the light. This is due to his own personal loss of his friend and a huge loss of money that forced him to sell everything just so he could come down to Nevada, the only thing he has left are a six shooter he bought with what funds he got, his had, and the clothes on his back. This has given a nothing to lose attitude, and he's willing to take on anyone without worry. He won't hesitate to gun down an enemy or a man who truly insults him, and on the other side he will also not hesitate to defend a friend's honor, violently if necessary.
7. Your history Hah! Just kidding, no one wants your life story out here.
8. Your strengths: He has a high intellect, is quick with his words, and can think a situation out.
9. Your Weaknesses: He's not particularly good with a gun yet, is too reckless for his own good, and doesn't have a very strong build.
10. Anything else: Nope!
