  • Accepted! Everything looks good to me - the biography is a nice touch. Great art, too! We'll definitely end up working though some of those plot ideas. There will be plenty of villains around to test his convictions, haha

I also plan on getting the rp thread up in the next couple of days, regardless of whether the last role is filled. If anyone here is interested in playing a second character then go for it, but otherwise I'll just leave this thread open and they can be added to the rp later when the role is taken.

    FULL NAME: Atlanta Erin Romancèe
    AGE: 20 years of age
    GENDER: Female
    SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
    ROLE: Heart of the Wild
PERSONALITY: On the surface, Atlanta seems to be just a very shy girl who doesn't talk unless she has something she really needs to say, and that's mostly true. However, there's a lot going on underneath her exterior that most people fail to realize. She is actually very observant; a great trait for a huntress such as herself. That observant trait also helps her to read expressions and notice even the smallest of social cues, and she tries her best to act upon those cues, whether that mean consoling an individual or simply leaving them to their devices. However, when handling a bow, her personality does a complete turnaround, and she becomes totally different. When lining up her shots, she goes from shy and timid to a calm, collected individual highly capable of making difficult shots at extreme angles. Her observations allow her to predict where her opponents will do next, or where they will move to. These traits allow her to be the self-proclaimed sniper of the group. However, Atlanta still is very kind under her shy (or cool, depending on what she's doing) exterior. She makes an honest effort to extend a lending hand whenever she can, but typically only to her friends because her shy personality prevents her from mustering the courage to help a stranger. But she also has a sort of sadistic streak in which she teases her friends to an extent that won't anger her target. Atlanta also possesses a high reserve of intelligence, especially when it comes to nature or animals.
APPEARANCE: Let's begin with the basics: she's blond, has green eyes, and stands at a measly 5'. Now that those things are out of the way, let's start with the head and move down. Her platinum blonde hair is always pulled back into a mess of braids in the back, and they only come out unless they've come loose. She luckily does not have any scars to speak of, so at first impression people often do not believe that she is a good fighter both in hand-to-hand and long range. Her muscles are not large, either. They are rather small due to mostly using a bow, and the dagger that she uses at close range has not helped much either for toning her muscle definition. Atlanta also prefers to wear light armor so she can sneak around and run without being held down by the weight of the armor. She is not intimidating in the slightest, and due to her appearance any attempts to make herself look so fail miserably. (Out of convenience and my inability to find fullbody screenshots of her faceclaim, the armor she wears is in the other section of this form.)
HISTORY: After being birthed, Atlanta's mother (who shall remain nameless) up and left, leaving Atlanta in the care of her father, Gaius. The two resided in a vast magical forest very unlike the rest of the forests that dotted the kingdom. A literal treehouse formed by Gaius's powers served as their home for most of Atlanta's life Not much happened during her early life, besides some accidents involving malfunctions with her powers. However, when she turned six, her father gave her a very small bow that she immediately took to, landing good shots even when young. Her talent only flourished since then, and now she can make shots even professionals twice or even three times her age cannot do. As she aged, her bow did too, and eventually it broke. She wept for a day before she was taught by Gaius in how to make a bow. It took a while, but eventually she made an incredibly durable bow that has yet to break or show signs of wear due to proper maintenance (the new bow can be seen in the spoiler marked with "her armor.") Along with her prowess as an archer, she also took up using a dagger, and she did not easily take to it and is only good enough with it to defend herself for a short time before she either needs help or has to flee. Gaius also instructed her in controlling her powers, and is now very adept at controlling them.

However, once the traitorous assassin that had once aided her father along with the other five overthrew the kingdom and began ruling, her father began to worry. His worries were not unfounded, as after a few days knights in black paid a "visit" to the god and his daughter. They rained down fiery arrows upon the great forest in which the two resided, and it burned for days. Her father fought valiantly against the knights, but eventually, gods die too. In the strife, her father passed due to the blade of the captain of the unit sent to kill him. During the battle, Atlanta fled from the forest. When she returned days later, the forest still burned. However, knowing the magical capabilities of the forest, she did not make any attempts to intervene. After a few days, the fire went out and the magical forest regrew to its former glory in a matter of days. She entered soon after, hoping to find any remnants she possibly could of her father. The only thing she discovered were the ashy remains that were once known as Gaius. An emerald pendant was the only thing left (besides the soot-stained skeleton). She took it, and now wears it under her armor to conceal it from the weathers of her travel.
RELATIONS: Atlanta's father was the legendary Gaius, a God of the Earth, and her mother was a simple human mortal who left shortly after birthing Atlanta. Deciding that she did not want her baby, the human left Atlanta in her father's care. He did a great job in teaching Atlanta the ways of the forest, as well as teaching her how to make the most of a bow and a dagger. Those were accompanied with proper control of her powers and proper bow maintenance, and how to hunt effectively. She has also befriended a wolf and named him Vilkas.
STRENGTHS: Atlanta is incredible with a bow and arrow and proficient with a dagger. She can use her powers to grow any plant life already in existence, especially seeds and saplings. Her healing powers can heal most wounds and most poisons as well, and she can control nondomesticated animals.
WEAKNESSES: Older or larger plants are very hard for Atlanta to grow, and drain her a lot when attempting to make them grow. Her healing ability cannot heal non-fatal wounds and some fatal poisons. Domesticated animals, humans, and all magical creatures are all out of the grasp of her control.
OTHER: I'm sorry for this awful form. I'll adjust it whenever she goes through a bit of character development in the RP thread. I will keep editing this whenever I feel necessary.

@greatbear what exactly is the extent of the powers of the heart of the wild? is she able to grow trees, plants, food, or even make things grow??

  • Your form looks great so far! I'd say they'd be able to manipulate/grow any plant life that was already in existence, including seeds and saplings. Using her growth ability on larger things (such as older trees) would probably drain her more, or require more control/time. I'll leave the details of any weaknesses up to you, however.

I should probably also mention that her healing ability extends to most non-fatal wounds, and can cure most non-fatal illnesses/poisoning.

  • I would say that it is most effective on wild animals, and rarely effects domesticated ones (such as riding horses, or hunting dogs). It does not work at all on humans, and all magical creatures (such as dragons). It would probably only extend to one animal at a time, or as many animals as your character can keep track of.
