  • Ivy stopped moving as what Taylor said just seeped into his mind. He crawled over to the can again, and dry heaved, as he had nothing left in his stomach. When he had finally stopped, he just sat next to the can, shivering in fear. "No..." he whispered, he took a couple of deep breaths, visibly shaking. "no, no, nononononononono." he just kept muttering 'no' like it would save his life.

  • Sophia bit her lip, listening to the conversations but not contributing yet. She looked down at the gold bracelet she had on her wrist and read the number out loud, thoughts spilling into reality "Seven..." she wondered about the significance of that, there were eight members of her merc team, so was it meant to represent the other members she had to get through this to see again?

A wave of guilt washed over the person at Ivy's reaction, and Taylor looked heavily worried.
"S-sorry, was not my intention to upset you... Perhaps... Think of it as a good thing? With the sealed doors, no water can get to us." They smiled lightly, hoping the words of encouragement would at least help. "That's good, right?"

They looked over to the girl whom hadn't spoken yet, and waved slightly, hoping to be friendly. They were 9, the person who was dreadfully afraid of the sea was 4, but what about the other two girls in the room?

  • Sophia saw the wave but again, did not respond to Taylor. Instead she walked over to the sealed door and pushed against it, stopping as soon as it became apparent that, even in a situation where she wasn't panicked by the inflow of water, the doors wouldn't move in the slightest. She sighed and collapsed, back leaning against it as the situation just got bleaker "Be a Merc, they said, It'll be fine, they said, Shoot people for money and no one will want revenge, they said... Forgot to mention the damn 'Get stuck on a sinking ship!' part, didn't they..." this outburst was easily audible to those in the room, even as she began to wonder what the rest of her team would be doing, whether they had cancelled the contract to look for her, or just got on with their jobs. Knowing Captain Bernadotte, they'd do their job, get paid and look after.

The person watched as Sophia attempted to open the door, biting their lip in worry at the vulgarity she yelled, but they said nothing in order to correct her. Green-brown eyes simply gazed over the very large door, and then they spotted the scanning device that was seemingly similar to the room they woke up in.

"May I offer a suggestion?" Taylor smiled lightly. "The first door opened when I put my hand on the padded scanner. Maybe try doing so with this one?

  • Rolling his ball of putty seemed to help Ivy calm down somewhat. in a couple of minutes, he was standing, still shakily, and taking deep breaths with closed eyes. "Yeah, Do.. Don't Fuckin... say... say things... like that." he got out, a bit mad, but mostly embarrassed. His eyes were still wide in fear, and he really didn't hear anything else.
(in other news, we can swear right?)

  • (I'm Not fussed, But I think Site rules are star one out. Like, Sh*t)
Sophia looked at the door, then at her own bracelet "That door had the same number as this thing, this one doesn't match." She turned away, looking at the others "So... Who are you all, anyway?"

(The site has a personal swear censor. If someone wishes not to see the swear words, they only have to go in their settings and turn it on. c: That's one thing I did quite enjoy about the update. )

"Again, my deepest condolences." Taylor murmured, genuinely feeling bad for having made the other person more upset than he already was. Oh, this was going to be glorious. So they were floating out in the ocean, on a ship that had the potential to sink in an instant. Why? There had to be something someone was planning, or else this odd setup wouldn't be needed.

Maybe there were more people going to show up. Had to be, there wasn't a cohesive number pattern in the bracelets of those that had shown up already. So, they supposed, now was time to play the waiting game.

"I, uhm." Taylor started at Sophia's question. Well, if they were going to go with the idea of keeping identities safe from one another... "Call me Lucky. 9 is lucky in some Eastern cultures, and very unlucky in others. I'm a Counselor for Students." They didn't mention the name of the school, for reasons of not wanting to be recognized.

  • Ivy chuckled as Lucky explained his nickname. "If you're lucky, then I'm unlucky. 4 is not a very good number in the Eastern Cultures. It often resulted in Tetraphobia, the fear of the number 4." Ivy's hand rolled the putty around as a thought struck him. "Well, Goose, Lucky, I'll call myself Tetra." The ship rolled again, and Tetra put a hand over his mouth, but didn't puke this time. "And, as you might notice, I'm not feeling so great." He pointed at Kayla, as if to ask, 'who's she?' but his stomach wasn't cooperating, and neither was his mouth.

"Well, I thought it was faintly clever." A light shade of pink crossed Taylor's face in a bit of embarrassment when Sophia didn't seem too impressed with their conclusion on a name. Rolling their shoulders lightly, they were able to push the embarrassment away, something that would probably be faintly helpful in such a situation.

"Interesting." The person answered as they listened to Ivy, nodding along. "Then, it's Goose, Lucky, Tetra..." Their gaze turned, landing on Kayla when he gestured that way. "and what would you like to be called?"

  • Bellatrix wasn't particularly a social person. She never really understood why; she just found it more comforting to be within the comforting walls of her own home, alone, then around other people. The only reason she'd ever go outside was for one reason only: and that was to look at the stars, at night. She always got lost in the stars. It was truly a beautiful sight to see such an array of beautiful lights stretching as far as her arms could reach. She wanted to reach out and grab them.
    Especially now.
Now, there was no night sky. No sky at all, actually. Just walls. Walls and walls of metal that made her feel trapped. And she was, admitedly. But that didn't mean she had to like it. She tasted salt in her mouth and the uncomfortable clamp of a bracelet on her wrist. She looked down at it.
    3, it read.
"Three," she repeated, slowly and silently. She didn't look up from her watch to acknowledge the people chattering around her. She simply stepped a couple steps back, trying to stay away from them- and admittedly, she still was incredibly close- and looked at the ceiling,
She missed the sky, how it beckoned her. The open space, the twinkling stars.
Now it was just endless chattering and metal walls.
    Ugh.
(I hope that was an okay starter! Still getting used to jumping in late, haha.)

  • (That's great! There's not a specific way, so you're fine ;) )

Kafira watched from the shadows, careful not to be seen; Her black hoodie making it easy for her to blend in, and the lack of light even easier. She had long since opened her "personal" door and was now watching, observing, as people started showing up and starting conversation. Combine the watches? Hmm... That could work... They were now telling each other their names, or rather nicknames, and numbers. You know you'll have to reveal yourself soon... But not yet...

  • (Jump on in, Autumn! We don't bite! Poor Tetra's too sick to bite. And now for something completely different; I'm going to quit calling Ivy 'Ivy', and start calling him by his codename. though in his arrogance, he'll probably call himself 'Ivy' every now and then. it's not even his real name anyway.)
Tetra had finally gotten somewhat over his seasickness, and he automatically shifted his weight when the ship shifted. Well, at least he was a fast learner. His eyes caught sight of new people walking down the hallways. He just sat down, in the corner, away from everybody else. Despite all the space, it felt like with every new person walking in was sucking more and more air out of the room. He slowly counted all who had come. Himself, Lucky, Goose, Accuser Girl, not to mention there was some girl who stood away from everyone like Tetra did. Although she didn't look half as sick as he felt. He raised his head when he got the feeling of being looked at, and panned the room until his eyes landed on Kafira. "I hope nobody's spying on us. After all, we have no reason to be suspicious, waking up finding you've been kidnapped." he said loudly (and quite sarcastically), hoping to force their hand.

  • (I should be in bed right now instead of roleplaying. Whoops.)

Bellatrix surveyed the area quietly. A lot of people had been chattering lately. She wished she had earplugs. Ugh, if whoever kidnapped her was trying to make her hate noise, kidnapper one, Bellatrix zero.
There was a particular voice that stood out amongst the others, one that sounded like....they were talking about...
Bellatrix shifted her head, trying to listen.
Ah, they were talking about the kidnapping situation. Of course.
She really shouldn't be surprised. If they all were kidnapped like she was, of course they'd be talking about it.
Bellatrix leaned her head back and tried to swallow the panic slowly rising in her gut about actually having to talk to people. Physically. In person.
"Mmm..." Bellatrix covered her bracelet with her sleeve anxiously, and glanced at it.
    "Three," she repeated again.
    What did three mean?
Come to think of it, now that she was actually acknowloging the other people, they sorta looked like they all had bracelets on them too.
Guess our kidnapper really likes numbered watches? She smiled darkly, but the smile faded quickly as she became lost in thought again. Did the rest of them have the number three on their watches? Did they not have numbers on theirs at all? She felt invasive trying to figure it out.
Did she really have to talk to people? She didn't want to. But what other choice did she have?

  • (Thank you, I needed that :) )

When Kafira locked eyes with Tetra, she flinched, and didn't know what to do at first. For a minute she just sat there, hoping that maybe he was talking about someone else, but nope: he was talking 'bout Kafira. Well crap... Might as well introduce myself... Kafira emerged from her hiding space somewhere below/beside the staircase and then leaned against it. She could feel eyes crawling all up and down her, but she just shrugged them off and announced herself.
"Since we're giving each other nicknames, call me The Mentalist. My number is 5 by the way, just in case you guys need it.." She kinda trailed off and waited for a responce.
Kafira looked comfortable, with her hands in her hoody's pockets and her legs crossed, but inside there was turmoil.

  • Bellatrix strained her head again, listening in to the conversation. Eavesdropping was a bad habit of hers.
    The Mentalist, Number 5, huh?
"So they do have different numbers." She concludes to herself. 5, that 'mentalist' girl, and 3, her bracelet. Unless the kidnapper was going by a pattern, there'd have to be a 1, 2, and 4, right? And probably more than that, too. There was definetly more than 4 people here.
She also concluded that people were going by code names here. Which she was more than relieved by. Bellatrix wasn't so keen on giving out her name to people. Especially strangers.
    Suspicious strangers.

Well, she'd best come up with a code name before someone goes up and ruins her silence, so...
"Hm." Bellatrix tilted her head back in thought. "Code name, code name..."

  • Kafira then braved up and addressed everyone,"So, if it's what you said, Lucky, and these watches," She took out her hand showed her watch, it was silver with a red face containing the number 5. It was quite chuncky too: had some build to it. She continued, "are used to open doors like that," she gestured to the door with a huge number emblazoned acrossed the front, "then there has to be some type of system..." She thought for a moment, and then an idea crafted it's way into being. "Lucky, your number is 9, the highest yet, so maybe the rest of ours are before nine... Like they make their way up to nine... But it's just a guess..." Almost instantly she started doubting the idea. Kafira, there could be a 10 somewhere, or maybe they're all just random, who knows...

  • Tetra grinned as his play worked perfectly. Now there were, what, six people? Four, Five, Seven, and Nine were known. Tetra couldn't help but find reasoning in Kafira's logic, and shrugged his agreement.
