  • "rise and shine, early birds." the warrior hummed as she stood, shaking the moss from her fur. she'd always loved how windclan slept together, under the stars. the warriors and apprentices, that was; everyone else was stuffed away from the stars inside of dens. in snow and rain, they stuffed away as well, but it had been a clear night and she'd enjoyed the stars once more.

she picked her way through on nimble paws before resting beside the camp entrance, giving her fur a brisk grooming. it was time for the dawn patrol, and she'd given her usual wake up call; now, it was time to wait for the gaggle to gather before trailing out.

  • [color=white]Fawnpaw had not yet gone far from camp for the fear that the snow would swallow her up or she would get lost in the twisty turns of the moor. This, as soon as she had a chance, she had wanted to catch a patrol ~ many cats, of course, to keep her safe. "Heya, Freckleface!" she chirped as she trotted up, a bright smile on her paw. "Are you gonna go out? If so, can I come? I don't want to go far alone." Rabbit holes, wildfires, blizzards ~ so much could go wrong. On the other hand, Fawnpaw trusted Freckleface almost as much as her own mother. Nothing bad would befall her if she traveled with the motherly, sweet warrior, she knew.

  • Heatherpaw was stirred awake by the movement of Fawnpaw as she spoke to Freckleface. Curious, Heatherpaw dragged herself to her feet and followed the noise only to see Freckleface. "Oh! Can I come too?" Heatherpaw looked up at the warrior hopeful she would say yes. She had not been carrying herself in a dignified manner recently and this could be her chance to show the warrior that she wasn't just another loud apprentice. Heatherpaw flinched as she remembered the encounter with one of the new cats who had appeared on the moor recently.

  • at the medicine cat apprentice's inquiry, the feline hesitated. she didn't want to put the girl in any risks, but growing up and getting out was an inevitable part of growing up. she'd have to see the border some time - at least the warrior would be able to keep an eye on the girl while she was at it.

"alright," she said, nodding slowly at the apprentice. "you stick close to the middle of the group. and if we run in to trouble, you're to do exactly as i say, understood?" she regarded the girl as she would any other young apprentice, rather than a kit. she was giving an order, not simply friendly joking. after all, the matter of the felines safety was important.

    • Despite being a member of the Clan for at least a moon now, Runningspirit still wasn't quite used to getting up for early for the dawn patrols. Freckleface's call jerked him awake, and he laid on the ground, blinking for a couple of minutes before he heaved himself to paws. He quickly stretched himself out before making his way over to the camp entrance. "Morning." He spoke with a yawn.
    • //mobile, ignore the random bullets XD
  • the feline smiled at runningspirit and gave the tom a nod before her gaze fluttered to the second tom. though she quirked a brow, she didn't reciprocate his attitude; she had more patience than that. "sleep once our borders are checked and everyone's bellies are full. sleep all green leaf if you want - in the meantime, sleep is only optional." she retorted with an ear flick, gaze roaming for at least another body before they were to set out.

  • Her ears twitched as she heard the back and forth between her Clanmates. She'd been awake for only a few minutes but it had been long enough for her to realize she had no desire to remain in the confines of camp all day. She joined the patrol on slow paws, nodding her head at Fawnpaw with a purr. "Need an extra paw, Freckleface?"

  • the warriors warm smile rested on the second medicine cat apprentice and she chuckled, giving a short nod. "i could use four more, if you can spare 'em." she joked with the apprentice before turning to the entire group. "let's head down to the border with riverclan, loop around the farms, then the thunderpath, then we'll hit fourtrees before we head back. stick close to the group, unless you see prey, obviously." she instructed, nodding to the mass of felines before turning and trotting out at a steady pace.
