  • For once, he didn't say anything in attempt to rid himself of the woman. Cross was too intent on hunting down the assh*le that started all this. It took a bit before he spotted someone he told to escape and yet, here they are. "You... you f*cking assh*le!" He snarled, bursting into a run to tackle the perpetrator into the wall.

  • In all truth, it took everything in her to keep from firing the last tranquilizer dart at Cross. If he wanted to bleed out, let him. Tendaji stopped, crossing her arms to survey the scene. Might as well, right?

((Why did I just picture someone trying to keep a 'secret project' and unintentionally letting a smilodon out?))

  • (That is a very good question)

"W-wait!" Pleaded the man, pinned against the wall by the much larger and pissed off Cross. "And why should I? Because of your f*cking actions, you put everyone here at risk! Hell, there's even a child you could've had killed because of this!" The bearded man shouted. "B-but no one died! Everyone's okay!" Okay now the lad's trying to pretend that there were no repercussions of his actions which is only making Cross angrier. "Bullsh*t! Had my team not taken care of this, people would've died. I am not letting another die like Kyoko did!"

  • ((It's just, like-- I know there's probably not going to be any, but I just got the idea that someone may have pulled a Jurassic park in the middle of Jurassic lab. I don't know. I can also picture Tendaji treating a cub like a kitten.))

Tendaji didn't seem to be paying much attention, though she did flinch upon hearing that name. Not once had she been informed of the name of the girl who had passed on in the previous occurrence. Lifting her gaze, she huffed loudly, trying to play off the sudden flinch as a shiver or something. Most likely wouldn't work, but...
"Not everybody," she muttered. "Actions have consequences. Someone could still die here, depending on what roams the halls. Question is, why'd you let them all out?"

  • (Ah. When you mentioned Jurassic Park, my mind immediately went to the scene where I think it is a lawyer getting eaten by the T-Rex while still on the toilet. Why does that come to mind every time I think of the movie? Admittedly, it's definitely the crappiest way to go)

"An experiment." The man sneered, narrowing his eyes at the woman. Welp, I guess he's one of those types that is sexist towards the opposite gender. "Experiment or not, you will pay punk. Men! Take him away until he is to be dealt with!" Cross ordered, letting a couple members of his team grab a hold of the culprit and dragged him away.

  • ((In more ways than one, I guess. But still.))

At that point, Tendaji offered a sigh. "Now that that's done, will you please let me help you with that bite?" she asked. "You're pale. And I'm sure that it's a pretty bad omen for the same thing to happen twice and end the same way." Eh, that would be true enough for some people. Maybe it would fly here.

  • On a normal day Cross Hunter would protest, grumble and gripe but now... he's too tired, too lightheaded to fight back. Not feeling like standing anymore, Cross leaned against the wall and slid down until he was sitting. That's probably the best Tendaji will get out of him so she may want to move quickly if she plans to treat his wound and keep him from passing out from the blood loss.

  • The only disadvantage to the situation would have to be the lack of real options. If Tendaji left to get a first aid kit or anything else, Cross would likely be gone by the time she returned. And she didn't keep those things with her at all times, either.
After a split second of thinking, she gave a huff, pulling off a scarf she always wore. What? It got cold. Taking a few steps closer, Tendaji knelt beside Cross, choosing to wrap the wound with that scarf. "It'll work for now," she mumbled, before pulling her gizmo out of her pocket. She flicked it on again, and made an attempt to get through to Rose.
"You can come out, now. Nobody's dead, but Cross is hurt and I think I've done all I can to help."

  • "Understood. Keep Cross where he is and I'll come find you." Rose said, slipping out of the closet with her son. She told James to hurry outside to be with the others until she says it's okay for him to return before using her gizmo to track the location of the pair. On the way, Rose made sure to grab a first aid so his arm could be fully treated with no worry of infection.

  • Tendaji didn't reply, instead choosing to wait for Rose to get there. In that time, she would guard Cross, as she couldn't tell if all the dinosaurs were back where they belonged yet.
Hopefully it wouldn't take too long.

  • Soon she found them and ran towards the pair. "Sorry for the wait! Had to be careful just in case." The red head chirped, kneeling beside Cross. She didn't even hesitate to take off his jacket and shirt so she could focus on the gaping wound under the scarf. "You let your guard down didn't you, imbecile?" She murmured, opening the first aid.

  • Tendaji backed away, remaining silent for the time being. There wasn't much she could say, really. She didn't know what happened, or if she had caused it to happen. And just about any comment she could make would be seen as rude.

  • "I'm sure you have questions Tendaji." Rose said without turning to look at the other woman as she works of Cross' wound. "Whatever they are, don't be afraid to ask them." Rose may have listened in through Cross' gizmo since he had forgotten to turn it off so she heard the name Kyoko. And she may have suspected the connection of the late woman to Tendaji herself considering they look fairly similar.

  • "...I have questions, yes," Tendaji mumbled, "but I don't feel like asking them right now. I have no idea how I should word the biggest of them, so..." She shook her head. "I'll ask later." And with that, she fell silent once more.

  • After a few minutes, Tendaji sighed. Maybe she was wrong-- maybe the 'Kyoko' who had been mentioned was a different one. Surely, she hadn't wound up in the same place around the same people.
"...Could you describe Kyoko to me?" she asked quietly. Hopefully, the description wouldn't match her sister. But it might. And that's what scared her. "Just... for future reference."

  • "I can do you one better Tendaji. I can show you a picture." Rose said, going into Cross' jacket to pull out an old picture of Kyoko. It was taken just a day before her inevitable death. Kyoko definitely looks similar to Tendaji except older an a striking blue streak by her bangs on the left side. She stood next to a noticeably younger and happier Cross who was only just beginning to look scruffy.

I had a lot of fun and failure with this.
Also, I just got the idea that maybe Kyoko brought Cross to the town before she died, thus allowing Tendaji to have encountered him in the past.))

Tendaji actually had to look away from the picture after a second, appearing shaken. "...I knew it," she whispered, the words barely more than a squeak. "I knew it was her... I just wanted confirmation." Taking a deep, shaky breath, she stood up. "I'll be in my room if you need me. I have to go think for a bit." As the last of those sentences was heard, she was heading down to her room.

  • (Ooo~ that sounds like fun!)

Rose frowns, shaking her head. She made no move to stop her. The poor girl needs a chance to think about it and take in the news. How she will act after that will be up to her, Rose just hopes that it won't be anything nasty.
