  • Today was an important day, both for her and her children. And she had a minor yet important announcement to make. "I will be fully returning to my warrior duties as of today. However, i will still sleep in the nursery, for my kits comfort." She would announce, her stumpy tail twitching as she gazed around, body held with pride. Had it not been for sweetkits delicate social skills, she would have fully dropped all queenly duties, but unfortunately she had to baby her dear little Sweety.

  • Moonkit would stop what she was doing, (which was investigating a rather odd looking piece of wood) and frown. What would this mean for Raggedkit? He'd be left alone all day? She'd have to prevent that, she'd keep him company, she decided. She couldn't leave her friend in the dust while he didn't have his mother to comfort him.

  • Much like Moonkit, Zee was frowning at the news. Coughing lightly as she padded out of the nursery, eyes narrowed unhappily, "But mamma..." she whined softly, pushing out her bottom lip in a pout as she pressed against her mother's leg, wrapping her paws tightly around the cream limb as if hoping that weighing her down physically would keep her grounded in the nursery. She didn't want her mamma to be busy all the time - how was she going to show her how awesome Zee was if she wasn't around to hear her plans and see her expert fighting moves?
Still, Zee knew her mother wasn't one to lie in the nest all day, and that it was inevitable for any Queen to leave their kits in order to provide for the them as well as the clan - though this early was rather upsetting, Zee knew also that crying about it might anger her mother. So, sucking in a breath, she pulled away and looked up at her mother with round eyes, "Will you bring back souvenirs while out on patrol? Like feathers and pine cones and - and - the claws of our enemies?" she said the last part with a eager growl, forgetting her sadness as she crouched down and wiggled her rump excitedly - coughing lightly from the movement.

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Snakehiss flicked an ear. Why was she so eager to go back to her warrior duties? "I advise against that." The British tom said calmly with a flick of his tail before muttering, "But it's not like you'll listen."

  • Sparrowkit followed a bit slower after Daisykit, feeling rather okay about the fact that Softlight wasn't going to be in the nursery much. She always got into trouble and Soft always picked favourites. Now she could do what she wanted! Well, the other queens would watch over them like hawks. But still, she would miss the familiar scent of her mother's fur and her soothing voice—which was not so soothing when she scolded Sparrow. "Have fun being a warrior Ma," she meowed with a smile.

  • Sweetkit was obviously frightened when she heard that their mother would return to her warrior duties. How long would she be gone? Was she going to get hurt? What if they needed her and she wasn't home? The worrying kitten felt a weight in her stomach, but nodded it off. Mother wouldn't want to be weighed down by them. Maybe... maybe she liked to explore the territory and be a use to the clan! Yeah, that was probably it. The kitten trailed after her mother, standing besides her. They were awfully young to be left alone in the nursery, but it was okay. She had Zee, Sparrowkit, and Badgerkit! Heck, Hollykit and Raggedkit were there, too! She gently pressed her tiny body against the pale warrior. It looked like she was going to follow her siblings around instead.

  • "That's a good idea," Thornfang agreed as he came over, but he did add, with a glance towards Snakehiss, "But you should make sure your kits are okay. And don't make yourself ill." He wasn't personally concerned for the she cat, but ShadowClan couldn't afford to lose her. He appreciated Softlight a lot more than he had done before, back when they were allies planning to take over ShadowClan. Oh, how things had changed.

  • flickersun had been cleaning her paw, digging out a pebble lodged between her paw pads, when she heard the felines call. cool gaze shifting to the fem, flickersun quirked a brow, but after a moments consideration, nodded. "we could use more people for hunting." she reasoned, gaze shifting back to her paw. with the hundred kits that had seemingly swarmed the clan, most weaning, she fancied they'd need more meat on the pile to feed them all, until they became a bit more... productive.

  • She chose to ignore snakehiss's comment other than rolling her eyes, before nodding as everyone else spoke. Feeling sweetkit press up against her, she gave a small smile to her near look-alike. "Sweety dear, i'll still be here a lot, so dont worry okay? Its just i'll be hunting and patrolling now as well." The rest of her kits seemed fine with her decision, as did most of her clanmates.

//i love how snakey is all moody and yet softlight is still just rolling her eyes at him and occasionally cuffing him over the ears as she passes as if shes like 'yeah yeah mister salty pants, we all know your a grump now shush'
