  • Charlotte kicked her foot backwards as hard as she could to get her foot away from his tail. Her skin may be fire resistant, the cold almost seemed to hurt her. Once she had managed to finally get away from him, she stood firmly on the ground. About ready to ram him, had it not been a practice fight. Instead she just stood, waiting to see what he did next.

  • Ethan was on the ground for a bit, before he got up, his chest hanging in front of him along with his head as he gasped for air, obviously tired despite the fight he had been able to put up. He looked at Charlotte after a while, lifting his head and looking at her as if also, passively expecting for her to make a move.

  • Charlotte was mostly fine, she stood rigid. The tension went on for a few seconds, once she felt like her foot was fine again, she made a move again. Advancing on him and getting ready to kick him. Her leg swung up to hit him firmly in the chest.

  • Ethan was too exhausted to actually even notice, as this time he took the hit directly, gasping as he felt like his breathing had been cut out for a few seconds, rolling back quite a bit due to the painful, and strong impact upon her hit landing. Once he stopped, he was laying on the ground, flat. He didn't seem injured, but not in the best of conditions either. Insanely fragile, to say the least, actually.

  • Poppy noticed and turned off the collar completely. She walked over to him and knelt down. "You okay?" Poppy asked, she actually seemed pretty concerned for him.

  • Ethan's eyes lazily slid over to Poppy, as his grin seemed to still be there, his fangs showing and growing slightly, now reaching up to the start of his lower row of teeth due to the collar being turned off and his full transformation having been completed. He just laughed lowly, remaining silent.

  • Poppy looked at Charlotte with a slightly suspicious look. As if she thought Charlotte had been too rough on him. Charlotte put her hands up defensively.
"Hey, I was going easy on him." The demon said defensively, as if trying to ward off Poppy's assumption.

  • Finally Ethan spoke up, only after Charlotte spoke however as he 'joked', his pale blue eyes pinned on her with an oddly intimidating look compared to normal. "... Going easy, she said... Should have gone harder on me, weakling..."

  • Charlotte looked at him, sighing. "Sure. Whatever. I'd have killed you if I were fighting you like I do in the arena." She said, her tone was sharp, she wasn't about to let him intimidate her.

  • Ethan breathed heavily before he nodded, closing his eyes and just remaining quiet, waiting to see if Poppy would ask him to get up which would be quite a wise move, or not.

  • "Well, are you going to get up yourself or do you need help?" Poppy asked, looking at him again, still crouched down as she waited for him to answer. She'd have Charlotte help him if he needed help up. She didn't exactly want to get her arm frozen. Or burnt.

  • Ethan nodded at her slowly as he managed to weakly push himself off the ground, however his bruises disappearing at quite a fast pace as his smirk started fading. "... I'm up... Urgh. Weak but packed a punch too..." He mumbled to himself lowly, trying not to move around too much due to muscle pain having remained.

  • Charlotte shifted feet. The one spot he where had grabbed with her tail was starting to hurt pretty bad, almost as if it burned her in a way. She said nothing about it, wanting to avoid that conversation.
Poppy nodded, standing up straight and grabbing the notebook she had been writing on, holding it to her side before she turned her attention back to him. "You've done pretty good today. After a while of training you'll be able to fight in the arena."

  • Ethan was curious about the arena, not having fully understood how it's meant to work yet. "So let me take this in... In the arena, you use your collars, or is it an all out battle, with no restrictions?" He asked her, tilting his head.

  • "It's usually an all out battle to the death unless stated in the rules otherwise." Charlotte explained. "Sometimes they set out weapons and bandages and other things to make it more interesting. Now that they've started putting trainers in, I wouldn't be shocked if they started doing team battles and other stuff."

  • "No, I just compete in it fairly often. I'm pretty likely to die at any time Could be tomorrow, could be next week." Charlotte shrugged, as if the thought didn't bothered her. "I guess I could be considered champion if they actually bothered to keep track of that."

  • Ethan didn't have anything else to actually ask, taking a deep breath before exhaling and turning over to Poppy, crossing his arms as he tapped his claws on his arms, seeming nearly as good as he was before the fight, however he could still feel pain where she had hit him if he were to touch there. "... What now?"

  • "Well, I didn't have much else planned. We saw what you could do today. If you want to start training and working on stamina or speed we could try that." Poppy said, looking over at him "If you don't feel up to it I was planning on going to a bar with Charlotte later tonight, you could join us and we go there a bit early."

  • Ethan grinned at Poppy but this time not like some sort of bloodbath-hungry monster and like an actually happy person. "... That sounds good. I'll come." Well, Charlotte had certainly shown him what she could do, so even if he didn't like it, he'd have to be friendly now.
