Who She is
Personality:Kairi is usually quite calm and collected, but she gets frustrated easily. When under an environment that lets her stop and think she excels at finding calm headed solutions, but she worked terribly under pressure. Due to these quite contrasting features, she often comes off as being vexing. Quickly transitioning from someone who is quite relaxed to someone who seems distraught easily leads people to get annoyed often.
Regardless of that fact though, Kairi is an extremely loyal friend... To the few friends that she does allow herself to make. She'll fight her hardest to make them happy as long as they are willing to do the same for her. While her emotional barriers are hard to break though usually, it's definitely possible to if enough work is put in.
History:
Kairi was raised alone by her mom, a single child for a single mother. Her relationship with her mom was quite close because of this. The two were almost inseparable when ever possible, choosing to spend their time in each other's company when time allowed for it. This wasn't always the case due to school for Kairi or work for her mom, but they did their best with what they could. At a young age she had been taught all kinds of things about greek mythology, her mom seemingly being a history buff of sorts. She knew all kinds of stories, and even sometimes recounted things differently, saying that the history books weren't always right. Kairi never thought much of it, but she loved hearing the stories of the gods and the various tales that came with them, especially the tales of the demigods who set out on incredibly quests to save the world or those they loved.
As she got older though the stories just began to seem childish to her. Despite her mother's enjoyment in recounting the tales, she had heard most of them already. And they were all just a bunch of stories so it wasn't like it was important information. Equally changing as she got older was a far more noticeable sense of dsylexia and ADHD which impacted her studies. She was a fairly smart girl, but things just become harder to focus on.
It was when she turned thirteen though that things truly changed, for the worse. A bunch of kids had started bullying her on the way home from school. They chased her into an alley way outside of the few of the streets and started calling her names. Kairi broke down and started crying at this point, which is when what seemed to by the leader stepped forward. The kid pushed Kairi, and with tears streaming down her face she pushed back. Only when her push connected, the kid seemed to freeze up for a moment and then he screamed aloud. A certain light seemed to fade from his eyes, and he dropped dead. In recollection of the memory Kairi knows that what she saw after had been the kids soul which she had unknowingly claimed, but in the moment she didn't know what had happened. The other kids freaked out, calling her a witch as they ran away.
Kairi then made her way home, emotional distress evident on her usually quite reserved face. She told her mom what had happened in a hurry. She wanted things to be okay. Kairi's mom comforted her, but she didn't offer an explanation as to what might have happened. A week later they packed their bags and left.
For awhile after that everything was fine. Her studies still failed, and as such rather mean kids did still insult, but she did her best to push through things. And she kept doing so fairly well for awhile. But everything seemed to get bad again as she neared her sixteenth birthday. The day before it, her mom gave her mom. With it came a warning. She was told that if she ever needed a safe place to go, that she should follow this map. Kairi questioned her mom what the map was about, but her mom didn't answer. The girl did her best to ignore the rather weird cirumstance and continued her day as best as she could.

The next day though, on her way from school, a massive fireball was seen coming from her house. She sprinted her way back home as fast as she could, which was quite quickly due to partaking in various sports. When she neared her home, she noticed strange creatures on the edge of her vision. Then they seemed to notice her too. It wasn't long before she was faced with several monsters. Lamia, Cyclops, Echidna,Hellhounds; if you could name it, it was probably there. And they all seemed to be after her. Try as she might the way back home was blocked off. Or well, what was left of it. It now blazed alight with glowing fire, and so Kairi heavy-heartedly made the decision to follow the map she was given. It pained her to leave, but a part of her already knew her mom was gone. Like she could feel it.Armed with that knowledge that almost made the girl want to sit there and cry, letting whatever it was catch up with her, she forced her way to the location on the map. It was a long way by foot though, and she didn't have the time to hail a cab of any kind. Exhaustion started to take control of her weary limbs, but as the monsters closed in someone fought them off. Her vision blurred and she passed out, but the last thing she recalled was being dragged away.

Daughter of Eris

FULL NAME: Lyndsey Gunnulfsen
NICKNAME: Lynn Gunn
GENDER/GENDER IDENTITY: Female, she/her
DATE OF BIRTH: March 15
AGE: 16
POWERS/ABILITIES: ~~Can make people rivals for a few moments.
~~Can influence the chaos in the room.
~~Powers are the strongest when the situation is the most chaotic.
~~Can cause random fights to erupt around them in moments of extreme anger.
~~Able to say things that anger people by sensing what might make them angry.
~~Able to cause strife by making others feel emotions such as jealous, anger and fear for a brief period of time.APPEARANCE: Lynn is fairly tall. Most of her height comes from her legs. She has light brown eyes with just a small hint of green. Her teeth are fairly straight and white since she maintains good hygiene. She always feels so gross on the days she can't find water to wash her face, etc. Sadly, that's most days, so you'll usually find her in an irritated mood. Lynn's smile is playful and cute, but when she gets serious, she has a whole different vibe to her. Her light-brown hair falls just above her abdomen and she usually ties it in a bun so it's easier for her to move around without worrying about it. One side of her head is shaved with straight lines running along it. She only does her hair like that for irony reasons to emphasize the scars along her eyebrow. She got those a few years ago, being reckless and new to the whole "Monsters like killing demigods" thing. She still is reckless in a sense. Her lips are thin and her nose is quiet. She has a slight twitch that occurs either when she's nervous or deep in thought. Lynn is also very fit since she's always practicing skills, but she's more fast and has better stamina than she is strong.
PERSONALITY: Lynn is usually very calm and collected in difficult situations but she can be quite belligerent at times. Her aggressive side can appear funny or scary depending on how you look at it. She's also very very open minded, open hearted, and understanding. It depends on her mood (Which usually also depends on whether she had time to freshen up that morning.) Lynn can occasionally get philosophical. She thinks about deep sh*t sometimes. Her face tends to twitch a lot when she's getting really into her thoughts like that. She enjoys the more physical side of her talents so she prefers spending her free time dueling or starting random fights or even just seeing how far she can push someone. Sometimes she purposely picks fights with people because she loves the thrill of duels and such. This makes her come off as a bit of an ass to some people. Despite her slight aggression, she's actually extremely nice and caring. She thinks about others and puts their needs before hers. If they have earned her respect or shown her any respect at all, she can be the sweetest soul you know. However, she can sometimes act very childish, impatient, etc. which leads to her jumping to conclusions. She's more of a Act first, Questions later kind of gal, which can obviously lead to some bad situations. Plus, people are rarely respectful to her, considering she's associated with chaos.
HISTORY: Lynn has an older brother, but he's a half-brother. They're related through her fathers side, so he isn't a Demigod. Her family's a little broken but most families are. She doesn't dwell on it much. Coming out to her family was never a big deal, they were very accepting. She's only had 2 girlfriends before, one from her old school and one from the camp. They were both very close relationships, making it kind of painful when they broke up. Honestly, it make her a little more aggressive than she already is.

(That's fine! I'm in no rush about things, just happy to be doing the RP~)
Everything had changed so quickly. Kairi's life had been flipped upside-down in an instant, torn from the realm of familiarity and security she had once had. Now everything was weird and wrong. The world seemed to keep spinning and spinning, but it was a spin that seemed to have twisted fate into some dark amalgamation of everything that didn't make sense.
Kairi stared up at the cieling as she lay there, raven hair spilling about the pillow. Her thoughts swam as she tried her best to piece together the broken remnants of her world, and glue them together with the information she had been given after she woke up from her rescue. The gods were real. Monsters roamed the Earth. Demigods existed. It was like the stories her mom recounted her nightly had come to life an invaded her world in a sudden attack upon her happy existance.
Now her mother was dead. She was in a camp for demigods. And apparently she was one of them. It was like all the troubles she had growing up all made sense, and why her mother was so fond of the stories. It made even more sense why her mom often changed them. Of course her life couldn't have been smooth and normal if she was some offspring of a god who didn't really care about whether she existed. Or at least, he had never made himself known. Father of the year award for sure.
The newly dubbed demigod rose from the bed with a puff of air, chest rising and falling as she did so. Apparently they were supposed to be doing war games or something of the sort today, and she was expected to participate as part of her camp activities. She didn't really understand what it was she was going to be doing, but she didn't really have a choice. More importantly, she needed something to get her mind off the loss of her mom.
Kairi reluctantly got up and trudged out the door of the unusually empty Herme's cabin. It had been packed earlier, but everyone had left to get ready for the war games. She of course had decided to be fashionably late while she thought everything over. She made her way over to where she had been told to meet up, just outside the edge of a nearby forest apparently within the so called camp barrier. As she approached she noticed several people milling about excitedly, several groups having been formed up and talking for the time being. The raven haired hirl was very confused as to what was going. She didn't know if it was some sort of training session that was going to begin, an actual game, or what. All she knew was that she was no present and ready to attend her first day of camp. Whether she was happy about that or not remained to be seen.

OOC: I have so much damn art work due friday, my paragraphs might be a little weird/unfocused. If something doesn't make sense or is hard to jump into, let me know and I'll edit it :P It might be like this tomorrow too
Capture the flag was Lynn's game. She was always just good at it. The girl could run, and run she did! Right to the other teams flag, before they could even come up with a strategy. Actually getting the flag back was harder, though, considering how heavy it was. It slowed her down severely. Plus, over time the other campers learned her 'Run now, think later' strategy, and have slowly become better at stopping her. So this match was plenty more challenging.
Running at the flag, she ended up getting pushed back by an Ares kid, his shield hitting against her chest. Stumbling back a few feet, Lyndsey pulled out her sword, parrying the kids strikes. She isn't too strong, so the kid was able to get her to fall to the ground. Oh man did that make her mad. Grunting as she hit the ground, she supported herself with elbows, staring the kid down. "Dude, why the hell are you attacking me?" A light smirk on her face, trying to get on the kids nerves. She was always good at pushing people buttons to her advantage. That was basically all her powers allowed her to do. Yet, she still needed work. She was never good at guessing what was bothering someone, and although she was getting better at it, she usually just went off things she knew, "It's Henry you should be mad at." The smirk on her face growing, "Isn't he Cynthia's new boyfriend?" She saw the boys eyes dart to Henry. This kid new Lynn's game, but he couldn't help it, he was mad. Henry did steal Cynthia from him. And Henry was on Lynn's team, so it could be considered part of the game if he went to attack the guy.So he did. Chasing after Henry with rage in his eyes, the poor kid. Lynn popped herself up. The flag was now open, calling to her. Her smiled was ear to ear as she ran for the thing. Putting her sword away and picking up the flag, she made her way back. Some of her teammates realized the girl had the object and went to defend her, getting her to the other side of the forest. She was practically there; so damn close; when something wrapped around her ankle, tripping her. A grape vine.
Dionysus didn't have many kids. He was a pretty loyal God. But the kids he did have were damn good at what they did, considering there dad was kind of always around. They didn't want to embarrass the guy.
The second she fell, the flag dropped out of her hand, and a whole pile of campers went to grab it. Lynn decided to take a step back, the more kids jumping at it, the harder it would be to get.
Finally, a kid popped up victoriously, luckily on her team, bringing the flag the rest of the way to the spot. Cheers of glory and anger were both heard, the kid praised for stamping a damn flag in the ground. -
(Nope you're all good! I was just busy recently with a few things so didn't get a chance to reply in depth so thought best to just wait until I was free~)
Kairi watched on with curiosity as she caught the tail end of the game of capture the flag, one team having apparently brought the flag back to their location and now carrying it back to the forest edge very near to where the other campers had been standing around. Pride was written on the winning teams faces as they brought it back. Cheers erupted as the kid who was holding it planted the flag in the ground, the groups of kids now focused on the return of the flag. The enemy team didn't seem to be very happy with what had happened, especially a lot of the Ares kids that were on the opposite side, but all of the kids that had gathered at the forest edge seemed really happy.
Then talk about a larger round two now that more kids had arrived for the Friday capture the flag matches was overheard. Chiron who had apparently been there the whole time and somehow gone unnoticed by the girl began dividing everyone into a new set of two groups, doing his best to fairly divide the kids. New kids on each side, veterans on each side, various fair mixing of godly children to both teams; and of course he made sure to try and keep some of the groups together when doing so, recognizing the community spirit of camp.
The raven haired demigod had been put on Lynn's team, filling the quota for their team of newly unclaimed demigods. Kairi noticed that Lynn wasn't really surrounded by anyone unlike a lot of the other campers who were re-gearing up for round two, so she tentatively made her way over to the girl. She was confused and wanted pointers, and unfortunately that meant interacting with people. Not a strong suit of hers.
"H-Hey nice to meet you, I'm Kairi," she spoke, a certain noticeable social awkwardness to her voice. People were not he thing. Honestly, she wasn't sure what her thing was. She sucked at keeping up in school. She sucked at talking to people. The best hobby she was good at was playing sports, but she couldn't really do that anymore to her knowledge. Certainly she wouldn't be doing it right this moment based on the various bladed weaponry. "I noticed that you weren't busy with anyone at the moment so I thought I'd ask you questions since Chiron is caught up directing people. What exactly are we doing? Everyone has swords and stuff," Kairi asked shyly, clearly very confused on how things were handled at the camp. Her first day had happened to land on the day they did capture the flag. Usually not the best entrance into a camp of demigod warriors.

(Haha no worries. All my Role-plays have been on a major lull recently, but I was catching up with so much art work, so it wasn't a big deal. I still have some studying for midterms and all but I only have two of them so I should be fairly free.)
An unfamiliar face walked up to Lynn. She hated talking to people. Not that she couldn't, she did fine at that. She just hated it. Usually the only reason she would talk was to piss someone off. Lyndsey has had a bit of a negative attitude since, well, forever. It's a permanent state of bitterness. I mean, sure, she's not always irritated, but it sure is easy to get her there. It's really what she feeds off of. The negative vibe and hateful attitude give her powers more strength. If a situation is too calm she feels like she has no control and Lynn hates that.
So when it came to casual conversation, Lyndsey avoided it. She was only ever really sweet to her past girlfriends, and it took a lot for them to put up with her. It was ultimately, why they ended it with the girl.
When this new face walked towards Lynn, it took everything she had not to roll her eyes. "It's literally just regular capture the flag, but with armor and swords and stuff." she answered a little bitterly, pulling her helmet off, holding it by her forearm and side, "You can use whatever weapon they have, or if you have powers, that's allowed too. Just no maiming on purpose, and obviously don't kill them." Lynn ran a hand through her hair before putting her helmet back on. "This is the tie-breaker, then we gotta go to dinner, so you better have some game." She laughed, pointing the girls direction to the stack of armor and weapons near the edge of the forest.
-
(I should be able to keep up for a while! I'm not busy at the moment and things should be chill for a bit. I hope your midterms studies go well~)
Kairi tensed up heavily at her rather harsh tone, getting the response she expected from the girl she had naively decided to ask for help. She was used to that reaction in regards to her. Whatever it was about her, she had a hard time not annoying people she might in some way. That's why she usually did her best to just avoid the situation as a whole when she could. It was kind of hard to avoid others though when you were about to apparently go into melee combat with them.
The unclaimed demigod nodded weakly before walking over to the location that held the weapons. She looked in confusion for something she could use. She was quite proficient with a rapier due to her fencing classes growing up, but there was no rapiers to be seen. It was the one sport she took part in that might possibly be applicable in her current situation, but apparently that had been wishful thinking. She sighed, defeated, and just picked up a sword and shield. The obsidian haired warrior donned some armor that seemed to fit her, doing her best to strap it on properly and securely. She didn't do a very good job.
Clearly out of her element and looking rather awkward in her newly equipped gear, she walked back over to Lyndsey. It was going to take getting used walking around like you were ready for war. "I-Is this good? I've only ever fenced before so I'm not really sure what I'm doing. I'll do my best to make you all proud and have us win though!" Kairi forced out, doing her best to muster some form of excitement. In reality she was extremely nervous in actually getting in a fight. Especially because of what happened the last time she had. She knew it was just coincidence the boy had a heart attack when she pushed him, but it still dredged up bad memories to think about.
"What do you mean by powers though?" the young girl asked, very confused by the prospect. People here had powers? She didn't have powers. Unless failure to be exceptionally talented in basically anything was a power in and of itself. If that was the case, she had loads of power.
-
(Haha thanks, I'm sure I'll do well!)
"It's a but different than fencing, considering how much heavier the steel makes things." Lynn gave a chuckle, fixing the strap on the girls armor, "Just try not to get hurt, honestly. You'll catch on quick." she said firmly, shuffling her feet as she spoke. Upon being asked about powers, Lyndsey began to stare around, wondering when Chiron would blow the damn horn and start the game. "This is a camp full of demi-gods. Zeus; Lightning and whatever. His demi-children-things can control lightning and fly and stuff." She focused back on the girl, realizing her sentences where a little weird. "Okay, well, sometimes demigods can vaguely control what their godly parent has domain over. It comes with practice, but most people can do it." Lynn gave a laugh right before her next sentence, "Some of them are pretty lame," Lynn whispered, though she honestly wasn't trying hard to whisper well, "Like, Hermes kids; all they can do is steal well and travel well, I guess, though I don't know how hard it is to travel well." A few Hermes kids turned there heads in angry, but they were quick to ignore it, considering Lynn was the one who said it. "My apologies if you're a Hermes kid, but it's the truth." she tapped the girls shoulder, jokingly.
Finally, the horn blew. Lynn was out of there so fast, just instantly running for the flag. This time she got stopped half way through the field. Usually she'd make it further, but there team must have figured her out, because this kid instantly just swung his sword at Lynn, hitting her right in the chest. Falling back on the ground, she couldn't breath for a good few seconds, considering she was running when she got hit. Rolling over onto her stomach to help push her off the ground, she slowly got back up. "Oh man," She coughed, before recomposing herself, pulling out her sword. The kid swung again but Lynn immediately got her sword up, holding the flat end of the blade to help push the hit away from her. The camper was knocked off balance, and Lynn took her chance, trying to run back for the flag, but the guy was effortless, grabbing the back of her armor, pulling Lyndsey back towards him, then throwing her a few feet backward.
Quickly catching herself, she was starting to get mad. "Look, kid, I get it. You wanna prove your worth to your parents and all," She waved her hands dramatically, trying to tick the kid off, "But maybe bring it down a notch, huh?" Lynn gripped her sword tight, beginning to run at the kid. There swords went at it, clashing and making loud clanking noises as they proceeded to bang against each other.
-
Kairi thought what she said over carefully. It did make sense that the children of the gods had powers decended from the gods themselves considering they were technically half of one. Still though, she had no idea who her godly parent was. Based on Lyndsey's speak of them she really, really hoped she wasn't a Hermes kid. The last thing she needed was to be bad at being a demigod. But how did one find their parent? Her thoughts were quickly cut off though by the sound of the horn blowing; a mock declaration of war.
Kairi did her best to move forward with the surge of kids, but she was definitely unfamiliar with things. Still, she was an athletic girl at heart and a forward charge was no different than sprinting a fifty yard dash. Except she was now wearing armor and wielding weapons. And was charging against an enemy instead of a clock. That did make a decent difference.
As she pulled ahead of the main group, mostly accidentally due to being quite fast, she spotted Lynn dueling with another kid. Well, to be more accurate, she felt Lynn dueling with another kid. As did she feel several other people. It was like entering the forest had somehow made her aware of everyone around her and how... healthy they were? It was a weird feeling, but she could sort of sense how everyone in her immediate surrounding felt. She tried to focus in on things and figure out what was going on with her. It was in this focusing, especially honing in on Lynn's signal, that she got distracted.
The demigod received a heavy shove from behind, launching her to the ground with a heavy thud and the loss of her blade. Her everything stung with the pain of the rough push as she stood up and looked behind her. In front of her now with a cocky smile was another demigod. His chest plate was adorned with cross spears; Ares, she recognized from her mom's stories. And he looked happy about what he had done.
"Hey there, you're the new girl right? Nice to make your acquaintance, my name's Jack. If you need someone to show a chump like you the ropes, let me know," Jack said, walking forward with a very confident stride. His spear was strapped to his back, but his shield was still on his arm like her.
Kairi absolutely hated this guy already. He seemed to think he owned the world and was just better than her. Maybe he was based on her position on the ground, but that didn't mean he needed to be so aggressively cocky about things. The girl kept backing up, honestly afraid to get hurt as Lyndsey mentioned earlier. Eventually though her back hit a tree and she froze up. He kept advancing, a smug look on his face.
"What's the matter kitten? Scared?" Jack said, beginning to raise a fist. When he got too close though, Kaira reacted and swung her own in fury. It connected with his jaw, which he took quite well being a child of the war god Ares, but then something else happened. The obsidian haired demigod felt a surge of power run through her veins, and at the same time the kid fell back and let out a piercing scream. He hit the ground with a thud, but a moment later his chest seemed to heave. His glow that she had recently begun to see had definitely dimmed though.
Then something even more confusing to the girl happened. A sign appeared over head; a theta with a sword on one side and an upside down torch on the other. Along with that, seeming to form out of mist and materialize in her hand, was a wicked black scythe with a serrated edge. Kairi dropped the weapon and stumbled away from the scene, mind going wild with confusion. What just happened? was all that was going through the girl's mind as the stygian iron weapon clanged against the tree she had been against only a moment before.
-
The whole camp went silent. A few Apollo kids crowded around Jack to check if he was okay and try and help him out, but most knew to stand back and try and give him some space. Lynn didn't see what happened, but she noticed the new kid looking quite terrified. She couldn't have harmed Jack that bad, she barely knew how to hold the sword and Jack was a trained Ares kid.
She walked closer to the girl noticing the obvious fear on her face, before noticing the bright sign above her head. Thanatos. It made sense, but it also meant bad knew for Jack. The Apollo kids were good with medicine, and they could definitely do there best, but who knows how strong this girls powers are. Sure, it probably wasn't that strong, but this Ares kid was screaming in pain. Even if he didn't die, he was going through hell. No one would be messing with this new kid, that's for sure. That only made Lynn want to mess with her more, though she knew that wouldn't end well. Instead, the safer option with better outcomes for Lynn, would be to befriend the girl. It'd probably be good for both of them considering how many people hated Lyndsey and how many people were probably not going to talk to this girl.
Stepping closer, Lynn began to work her moves, "Hey." Her tone was calm, despite the panic behind her as kids were trying to carry Jack to the infirmary. Lynn tried to block the girls view of the Ares kid. Looking would probably just worry her more. Pointing up at the sign above the girls head, Lynn spoke with the nicest tone her bitter personality could muster, "Thanatos. You're a Thanatos kid." she took off her helmet and began to unstrap her armor, the weight catching up to her. Looking at Jack, she reassured the girl , "He should be fine," Lynn spoke, not so confidently, before turning back to her, "I never got your name. I'm Lyndsey."
Okay, maybe Lynn should have just left it alone, not even talked to the girl. But it felt right, befriending her. He existance felt necessary. Maybe it was just a lust for trouble that Lynn had. She had a knack for that. But she did it, not thinking about the consequences, just thinking about how right it felt.
Lyndsey gave a small smile at the girl, as if to say, Forget about that guy, he was an ass anyways, but not quite with words. Just a small, reassuring smile. Holding out her hand for the girl to shake, Lynn was just trying to help calm her down. Heck, maybe calming her down would lower the strength her powers were having on Jack.
-
Kairi was completely stunned with what happened, realization that it was her that had done that to him washing over her in heavy ways. Her expression seemed distant as she watched the guy being carried away and she was trembling, especially her hands. It all made sense now. The kid from before that had the heart attack. That had been her. She killed him. And Jack wasn't looking so good either, but unlike the kid she killed several years ago his essence was still in him. Dim and getting dimmer by the moment, but not gone.
"I didn't mean to..." The newly claimed daughter of Thanatos muttered to herself, but she seemed to snap to attention as Lynn blocked her view of Jack being carried away. It all had felt so surreal standing there taking in eveything, but Lyndsey had gotten her attention from the result of her seeming crime.
Kairi listened to the girl carefully, doing her best to internalize what she was explaining. Her father was Death? It didn't make any sense at all, and yet it made absolutely perfect sense. The dangerous touch of harm, the black scythe, the sense she had for how close people were to being gone... She knew without questioning that she indeed was a daughter of Thanatos. "Thanatos is my dad? It makes sense considering... Well, yeah," she replied dejectedly as she did her best to tune out the sound of panic around her. It was quite hard considering she knew it was her and her newly found lineage that had caused it all.
"Oh... I'm Kairi. T-Thank you for your help... I'm sorry if I scared everyone, I didn't mean to hurt him. I-I just..." the raven haired girl spoke, voice trailing off into the ether as she teared up a bit. When Lyndsey reached her hand out to shake, the daughter of Thanatos took a step back. She was honestly terrified with what she was. Being a daughter of death personified didn't sound happy, fun, or good in anyway, especially not for friends. But that's who she was now. The symbol now only beginning to slightly fade and the scythe that lay against the tree, what looked like a modified version of the one Thanatos himself used at least based on her mom's stories, were proof of what she was.

(Btw, I'm digging this whole aura thing your character can see!)
"Hey, relax." Lynn tried to get Kairi to calm down, noticing the girl stepping back from her hand-gesture. Dropping her hand to her side, Lyndsey spoke firmly again, "I'm sure you've touched people and they haven't passed out, I doubt shaking my hand would kill you.". Upon realizing how unhelpful her sentence was to the girl, she sighed. "Okay, take a deep breath, it helps no one if you're freaked out." Lynn twitched, eyes and nose scrunching together. Kids were starting to stare. The two least-liked kids incampwere now making friends, and no one else seemed to want that to happe.
"Come on, take your gear off," Lyndsey began, turning away momentarily to throw hers into the pile she got it from. "We should head back to the camp. Jack is in the infirmary, probably. I'm sure he'll be okay." she began to facing the girl again, but Chiron was there this time, giving Lynn a stern look. He realized the girls bonding, probably intervening to stop the dangerous duo.
"Lyndsey, enough." He glared at her before looking at everyone else who were standing around nervously, "Everyone, get back to your cabins. We'll commence dinner later tonight." His posture strong as he rode away to the infirmary, glancing at Lynn once more before trotting away. She didn't care though. Chiron new Lynn doesn't like when people try and direct her or tell her what she can and can't do. It was like a challenge or dare to her. Now she had to become friends with this girl. When Chiron was fully gone, she looked at Kairi, giving a big smile as she started heading back to the cabins.

(Thanks! I realized if she can sense souls and stuff, it made sense for her to be able to tell how close they were to the Doors of Death so to speak haha, and that it would make for some pretty cool roleplay situations.)
Kairi started to tear up pretty heavily at what Lyndsey first said. She wasn't worried about whether it would kill her. She was worried about everyone else around her that she touched. Lynn was right that she had shaken other people's hands before, but the daughter of Thanatos wasn't at all sure the extent of her powers or even what activated them. She just knew that she could do it, and that it happened by contact. As such, she was terrified to hurt the only person in camp that seemed to even be remotely helpful to her in anyway.
The inexperienced demigod did her best to listen to Lynn though, taking a heavy deep breath as she tried to get her barings on the world that seemed to almost be spinning now. Everything had been so sudden, and if she knew anything about camp it was that almost killing another camper on your first day was frowned upon quite heavily. Especially since Lyndsey had specifically told her not to kill anyone. So far she had done pretty badly at that part of the whole demigod camp part.
Kairi was startled by Chiron having snuck up on them during their conversation, calling off the game and telling everyone to head back. Well, to be fair, she didn't know if the game had legimately been won or not. She had been to busy with the whole newly-claimed-daughter-of-thanatos buisiness. Hearing his tone with Lynn though made Kairi's gaze hit the ground hard. She hoped she didn't get her new friend in trouble or anything.
As Chiron and everyone else began slowly dispersing, she decided it was best to do as told and get rid of her gear. Before she made her way over to the pile, she looked for the sycthe that she assumed was now hers. A gift from her father or perhaps part of her power she didn't know, but she knew it was definitely hers without a doubt. In place of where the weapon had been though was a black necklace with an upside down torch, all made of the same black metal of her new weapon. She glanced over at Lynn to make sure she didn't lose track of her friend, catching the bright smile in the process, then picked up the necklace. As her finger touched the small symbol of her father attached to the chain, the same black mist swirled around her; the black sycthe was now in her hand again. The girl was surprised at first, but she was happy that the weapon was relatively easily concealable.
The daughter of Death walked over to the pile and took off all her armor, putting it where it belonged. She hadn't bothered picking up the sword that she had lost when she was pushed. It had been far too long a day to search around for it. After everything was all taken off she examined the black weapon that she held which felt surprisingly felt right to hold, almost like it belonged in her hands. Inscribed along the blade was θεριστής. Somehow though, Kairi could read the very clearly Greek righting. Pronounced Theristís or when translated to English like she was used to, Reaper. She sighed, shaking her head slightly as she rolled her eyes. Of course it was named Reaper, what else would it be named?
After a few moments of looking over it further she noticed the same upside down torch symbol dangling near the neck of the blade that attached it to the pole. She tapped it and the black mist swirled yet again, and then there was a necklace on her. Kairi had to admit... That was far too cool not to like. Now with her necklace of stygian iron around her neck she made her way after Lynn to catch up, having to do a little bit of sprinting to make it to her new aqquaintance.
Eventually though she caught up after a few moments of running towards the cabins at a brisk jog, slightly panting as she did so. When she caught her breath she gave a weak smile to Lyndsey. "Thanks for helping me out back there, that was a lot to take in. I've never been exposed to any of this and then all within the span of a few days I'm suddenly some demigod daughter of Thanatos. Apparently have been my whole life..." she thanked, trailing off a bit. She shook the thought from her head though and continued on. "Anyway it's nice to meet you Lyndsey! I heard Chiron say your name back there. I hope I didn't get you in any trouble," she apologized, remorse for what happened quite clearly displayed on her face.

Lynn could spot Kairi running up to her from her peripheral view. Giving the girl a small smile, she placed her hands in her pocket. "Nothing new, I tend to get into trouble a lot." Lynn gave a weak laugh, "The old geezers probably just paranoid that we'd make too cool of a duo for him." she joked as the two reached the perimeter of the camp. Running a hand through her hair, she turning to the new girl, "Your cabin should be opposite end of the main cabins, close to were mine is. There should be a symbol above it that matches the one you saw above your head earlier, so it'll be easier to find." Lynn explained as they walked through the cabins. She gave a light twitched, her eyes and nose scrunching together.
(Low muse, just came back from a gig and I'm exhausted :P)

(It's okay! Not a problem haha~)
Kairi let out a light giggle at the idea of Lynn getting in trouble a lot. Honestly, she could tell just by their few interactions so far that what she said was almost certainly true. She had a certain rebellious nature to her that would surely bother anyone in a position of power, and even the girls essence the daughter of Thanatos could sense had a feeling of rebellion that matched it's owner. Thinking about things over Kairi could only imagine that what she had recently learned to do was sense people's soul, being a daughter of the god of death and all. It made sense, but it was still a weird to sense someone in a completely different way than she had ever done before.
The demigod continued along with Lynn as she internalized the information about the cabins. It was probably a good thing to remember considering she would be here for awhile. Did she have any siblings that lived here? How did that work? Did Thanatos have kids with mortals often? They were all questions that Kairi wanted to ask and have answered, but she pushed them from her mind. They were inquiries for another time.
"Why would we make a cool duo he couldn't handle? Who's your godly parent?" Kairi asked, curious as to what her new friend could do. If the ability to kill people with a touch was one of Thanatos's gifts, she could only begin to imagine the kinds of things the gods has in their blood that their kids could use. Based on her own powers she was almost certain a kid of Zeus could at least shoot lighting in some way if nothing else. Who knows what the other kids of the gods could do?

As the two reached closer to the cabin, Kairi seemed to be deep in thought. There was probably a lot of things the girl was still getting use to, so Lyndsey just let the girl think for a bit, until a question was asked.
"Oh," She had completely forgotten the girl didn't know who Lynn's godly-parent was, "Eris." giving a light shrug, she continued, "She's Goddess of Chaos, so essentially my powers allow me to simply 'fuck shit up' as one might say." Lynn joked.
Lynn didn't have many half-siblings. Eris wasn't that into humans, she just occasionally dabbled in socializing with them when she got bored. The other Eris-kids weren't as bad as Lynn; or at least, they didn't bother the other campers as much. They had more of an 'I don't care' attitude to them.
Once the two reached the Thanatos cabin, Lynn stopped at the entrance, "Chiron's probably gonna call a meeting tomorrow morning to discuss stuff. The head of each Cabin will likely be there, so just try and get some rest tonight." She explained. Being head of her small cabin, Lynn would be there if a meeting was called.
At that note, she left the girl, heading to her own cabin before collapsing on her be, exhausted.(I feel like this may be the most scattered thing I've ever written oml. Sorry about that if it is! Finishing up midterms this week and I'm honestly so out of it from all the studying.)
((Also, how are they gonna find out about the prophecy? Should one of our characters sneak around at night or should the oracle be at the meeting tomorrow morning or somethin'?))
