Kuro quickly got out of the car, very nervous about this whole situation. He was in the middle of nowhere with a master he knew nothing about. He really didn't like the look of this. "Wh-where are we" he finally asked, obviously nervous "and, i-is he going to be ok?"

"Of course. It looks like he just got tranquilized. He will probably wake up in thirty minutes." He walked towards Kuro casually and then grabbed him by his wrists and attempted to pull them behind his back. "You, however..." Andrew smirked, trying to tie a knot around his wrists so he couldn't escape. "You probably won't be."
-
Kuro gasped in shock, quickly trying to pull away. "Stop, let go of me" he said fearfully, trying to call for help. He knew it was probably useless though; who else would be in the middle of the woods? He was terrified now. What was this man planning to do to him? He was regretting every choice he'd made up to this point, and just wanted to get away and run as fast as he could.
-
Andrew pulled him along, yanking him by the shoulder. The building was very close by, so it didn't take long for them to arrive to it. Once they stepped inside, they were hit with a shocking lack of light. Andrew reached for the wall and switched on the lights. As the lights flicked on, around twenty cages could be seen lined up against the walls. All of them were filled with nekos. There were usually two nekos per cage. They made no response to seeing the new neko; they were probably used to seeing this kind of thing all the time. The human man opened a cage and aimed to shove Kuro into one. There was a female neko inside the cage. The only response the girl made to seeing Kuro was frowning and averting her gaze.
-
Kuro continued to struggle the whole time, but it did nothing. He was so small and weak compared to the man, it wasn't surprising that he was almost powerless against him. He started tearing up in fear as he was shoved into the cage, unable to stop himself from hitting his head on the side of it. He looked at the other female, getting more afraid at her reaction to this. How long had she been here? It must have been a while, and she didn't look treated well at all. He started shaking, not wanting to think what would happen to him here.
-
Andrew shut the cage door and locked it tightly. There was no way they were getting out of there unless they had a key. After making sure it was locked, he left the room without shutting off the lights and went to get Jake from the car.
The female neko stared at the cold cement floor. "...H-hi..." She whispered. Her hair was brown and her ears were black.
-
Kuro looked up at her, still trying not to cry. He had been scolded if he had been caught crying before, so he always tried to stop himself, even in current time. "H-hi" he said quietly, shaking a bit "I-I'm Kuro...." He wasn't sure why, but he thought it might help to know who he was caged with, at least for the time being. It would be better than sitting in complete silence; that would drive anyone crazy.
-
"...My name's Caitlin." Her blue eyes were wide; she seemed pretty shy. "Uhm...how were you captured?" She asked, trying to make conversation. This guy seemed okay. He looked like he was going to cry, but that kind of thing was normal around here.
The tall human returned with Jake slung over his shoulders. Yet again, he disappeared into another room, probably setting Jake down to rest.
-
Kuro waited until they were gone before telling her. "Th-the neko got me to trust him, then he got hurt and I had no choice but to call Andrew" she said quietly, looking down. "Wh-what about you?"
-
Caitlin blushed deeply, feeling ashamed of her story. "He...he seduced me..." She looked away, trying to hide her face. Talking of this story always made her feel like some kind of harlot. How could she have fallen for someone like that, when everything was just a lie? It was pathetic, and she regretted everything that had gotten her into this place. "I-I don't want to talk about it..." she whispered quietly.
-
Kuro frowned a bit, nodding. "It's alright, I understand" he said quietly. This just made him feel even more stupid. He had trusted Jake and thought he cared about him, but that was an obvious lie now. He hesitated a bit before asking his next question. "Wh-what will happen to us here?"
-
Caitlin sighed, returning her gaze to Kuro. "Thank you. But anyway...Basically, we're kept here, given minimum food and water, and then we can finally be free once some human decides to buy us as a slave." She paused, thinking of anything else she could tell him. "Oh, and if you do anything that our current master would consider annoying...there's always punishments. No crying obnoxiously, no starving yourself, no planning escaping...and even if you talk to him and say the wrong thing, he'll hurt you. That's rare, though, because he usually doesn't bother trying to talk to us."
-
Kuro nodded slightly, trying to remember it all. It seemed far too easy to annoy this man, and he was terrified of being punished. This man was not likely to be merciful with his punishments. "I-I'll try to remember" he said quietly.
-
A few minutes later, Jake appeared from the room he had been set down in. He looked quite disoriented, holding his head and looking around swiftly. Andrew was nowhere to be seen. Once the neko spotted Kuro, he walked up to his cage and kneeled down. Looking into his eyes, he asked, "Do you still trust me?" He pulled out a ring of keys from his pocket and held it securely beside him.
-
Kuro eyed the keys before looking up at him, slowly shaking his head. "N-no" he answered, frowning. After all the lies, he couldn't bring himself to trust Jake. Not to mention, this could just be a trap, like last time.
-
"Please. I can explain," he whispered desperately. He never wanted this to happen. His plan was to just ditch his job entirely because he realized how awful it was, and try to find a new one. However, passing out had stopped him from ever doing so. Once he was shot, he had absolutely no control over what happened, and it seemed like the worst case scenario had happened. "I swear. I really didn't want this to happen." His eyes were wide with regret and sympathy.
-
Kuro refused to look at him, instead glaring at the the ground. "If you didn't want this to happen, then you would have told me the truth" he said, stopping himself from tearing up again "you don't care about me, like you didn't care about anyone else here." All the things he said made him feel terrible, but he felt it was the truth.
-
"Kuro..." He leaned closer to the cage, just wanting to wipe away his tears and tell him it wasn't true. "I would have. I was going to. I just...I just didn't want you to leave once I did." Sighing, he continued. "I mean, I even lied about my own name. You wouldn't want to forgive me after that. And...and you're different from everyone here. I wanted to teach you. I even took you out to a restaurant."
-
Kuro moved back as Jake came forward, refusing to believe him. He didn't want to be tricked again. "You're probably l-lying now too" he said, a few tears starting to run down his cheeks "you probably did all those things just to get me into this trap. I should have never trusted you...." He grit his teeth as he tried to stop his tears. He still cared about Jake, a lot, but he didn't want to be hurt by him again. He really didn't know what he should believe anymore, so he settled on not believing any of it.
-
"No, I didn't," he pleaded, green eyes wide. "I know it seems that way, but...I really liked you. I was planning on quitting my job here. And, if you let me help you escape, I can still do that," he whispered, hoping Andrew wouldn't interrupt him now. Right now was the worst possible time he could come over. "If you just trust me right now, you could be free, okay?"
