a strange smell washed over his nose. the pink sniffer twitched gently as it tried to pick out distinct aspects of the scent. fishy, he guessed, and there was definitely some sort of water source nearby. of course, the scent of living things was intermingled. he didn't dare cross into unfamiliar territory with possibly hostile creatures, and yet...

attempting to lap his nose to keep it wet reminded him just how thirsty he was. he plopped his rump onto the thin layer of dead leaves masking the ground, green eyes scanning for someone who could help him. "hello?"

[color=#e0e0e0]These days, seeing Ramses anywhere but the riverside was beginning to become rare. Since Duncan's exile, he spent most of his time by the water contemplating life. His ears flicked back when he heard footsteps nearby, and his powerful direhound nose caught the scent of a stranger that wafted over. The angular-featured dark wolf got to his paws and made his way over to the samoyed. They were canines, but polar opposites -- Ramses tall, huge-pawed and dark, and Marinepaw considerably smaller and white colored. Despite his appearance, Ramses was quite friendly -- it was obvious the newcomer wasn't here to attack or anything. "What's up?" he inquired, his tail wagging oh so slowly behind him. He made a half-hearted attempt to smooth down his wild fur, just to look nice, but gave it up quickly.

Tenor had been out for a bit of a stroll, or rather simply to get away from the constant roar of the waterfall that continuously crashed inside his ears, eluding him again and again of his precious sleep. He'd barely been able to close his eyes since he'd got here. The roar was not at all comforting, and often he found his neatly groomed pelt damp with the spray of the mist, which never failed to enrage him. He was to be neat, well groomed, with a kept appearance. The waterfall did not help that.

Large purple-hued paws brushed through the undergroth, and again, he felt himself ponder leaving Riverclan. It was loud, he'd made a fool of himself when he had joined, everywhere he looked was mud... It simply wasn't favorable. Wrinkling his nose as he sunk a paw into said mud, he lifted his foot back up, cringing and stepping backward, back into the wet grass he'd been previously treading on. He was about to turn back, just lie down somewhere and begin to die from the noise, when a few voices caught his attention. From their words, he assumed a new joiner. He didn't exactly want to say hi, but he guessed the more he did it the better he'd get at it. Even if, unfortunately, he was intensely socially awkward.

Turning his gait in the direction of the two canines, he slunk up behind the larger direhound, focusing narrowed lavender eyes onto the tiny dog. Oh. He looked like their leader. He was also a child, and that meant more noise for him. God, he just wanted to sleep. Lifting a paw to rub at the shadows under one of his eyes, he yawned widely, closing his eyes and tilting slightly forward, appearing to doze off a little. He'd introduce himself after the small canine did.

( mobile!! also yes you can! ^^ )

mar shook his head, turning to the newcomer. "smelt water; not much to be found where i live! thought you wouldn't mind if i had a sip? wanted to be sure, though, don't want to be surrounded by unfriendly creatures who'd rather kill me than share water." he gave a bit of an awkward smile, his threat burning once more. "um. anyways. name's marinepaw, yup!" with another sniff, mar determined that these two weren't the only ones living in this place—it seemed to be a whole jumble of unfamiliar creatures past those border marks! "say, what kinda place you runnin' here? there's all sorts of animals i can smell, yup, and that's sorta odd."

  • (#ivyleestwinconfirmed + yup, just jump right in! No bio and no waiting for acceptance needed! Welcome to the Riverfam!)

Hope arrived next. Ha, this guy looked like Ivylee! "Hey, I didn't know Ivylee had a twin!" she joked, flicking an ear. She then stopped her chuckling, and nodded. "This is RiverClan. We have lots of creatures here. If you'd like to join us, you can."

[color=#e0e0e0]"Go for it." said Ramses, stepping aside so that the path to water was clear for the samoyed. Shit, that's all he wanted? Didn't even have to ask! He liked the smaller dog -- but then, Ramses liked just about everybody. His tail wagged a little as he spoke, his ears perked forward with interest. As Radiant Hope spoke, he nodded. "Yup. We'll take care of you." He choked back a snort as he said these words. They were a bit of lie, in his opinion -- after what Duncan had endured. To him, RiverClan only took care of the angels. Then again, this pup looked to be an angel, what with his ivory fur and all.

  • "It is great to have you here! My name is Sylmae and if you ever need anything, please feel free to me know if you need anything, okay?" Mae offered as she pranced forward, fluffy tail wagging as she settled down and smiled at the new joiner. She was adorable and she really did look like a mini-Ivy. How cute! Two fluffballs in one clan? They'd all die of the adorableness!

he'd always been able to take care of himself, as far as he was concerned, but something told him the stranger meant well. he put on a bit of a grin. "thanks, i guess?" the words came out higher towards the end, almost though he wasn't sure what to say. mar was about to say more when his ears perked, alerting him to the approach of another animal. nevertheless, he had to keep himself from jumping when sylmae appeared.

"christ! where are you all coming from?" he questioned. he completely forgot to acknowledge her greeting, still a bit shaken from her arrival.
