  • ⋆ rey padded into her den carrying her morning's prey. normally she wouldn't have caught this much, as she felt that it may be disrespectful to whatever infinitesimal chance there was that she has caught that very prey. today, however, she felt like she deserved a treat. there was not really a particular reason for the gorge, just a happy feeling in her stomach that she hadn't felt for quite some time. today she had caught herself two robins and one squirrel- all for breakfast. the tabby she hesitated once, twice... but then bit into her third piece of prey. it felt unbelievably good to have a full stomach for once.

a little while later, rey padded out of the forest and to the edge of the moor she could see from her den. the moor was large, and from the she's den, it was hard to see what was on the other side of the vast field. curious, rey realized she had never made the trek across the wide space. it wasnt all that long of a journey, but she just hadn't felt the need to explore what lie beyond the moor before this very moment. sure, she had walked the field before, as it was a great place to find field mice, but right in this instance, rey decided she would make the journey.

a stream ran past her den and as far as her eye could see in the direction she wanted to go, so she used this as her navigation device. the tabby padded with a skip in her step along the dusty banks of the stream as it gradually morphed into a full on river. at this point, rey spied a large forest- larger than the one she had just left on the other side of the moor. when she reached the forest, she didn't take but a step in when she heard the chattering of voices. The she hadn't seen other cats in ages! she quickly groomed herself, wanting to look at least presentable if she were to see other cats that day.

the group of cats, seemingly young, did not notice the ginger she. still curious, the lithe she slunk through the vegetation to follow the group of cats. all of the cats smelled of the same place. it was clear they belonged somewhere. it was just then that the group of young cats ducked into some bushes, and their chatter ceased. rey cocked her head, slightly confused. she too ducked into the camp, and was amazed at what she saw.

quickly, not wanting any of the cats wandering the camp to notice her presence, she ducked behind a tree, her spring green eyes glittering in the shadows...

// not my best work but... and btw not all my posts will be that long! just the first.

    ...

  • Daisypetal woke up and stretched a bit before she walked out of the den and looked around quietly thinking. She then went over to the freshkill pile and sighed softly as she looked around trying to figure out what to do now.

  • Russetstar stretched and yawned. The tom was quite for the past 2 moons since his mate had died pre-childbirth. He had lost both his kits and his first love. He missed the warm ginger fur next to his dark russet fur. Her sweet honey scent... He gazed down at her feather freind on his chest. He smiled, remembering how he showed her what to do. He padded out of his den, out of the cave, and headed towards the camp entrance, in the direction of Rey.

--I will post my other cats later, also a tradition in FeC is if your mate dies, you wear their Feather the next day, if your kits die and they had a feather you do the same. If you're the last living member of your family and your sibling dies, you wear their feather

  • Daisypetal smiled a bit at Russetstar then stretched a bit and looked around before she went over to the freshkill pile and took a rabbit then went over and layed down starting to eat the rabbit as she looked down at her feather friend thinking about her old clan and sighed a bit.

  • Lynxflight trotted into camp holding a rabbit and a squirrel, her stubby tail flicking back and forth. Her head was held high as she headed straight toward the fresh-kill pile, her long fur slicked back toward her paws with the morning dew. Behind her, Jackalleap, her older(I think) brother, followed her a little less enthusiastically. He looked tired as he carried two mice, his dark fur slightly matted around the edges as he followed his energetic sister into the camp.

The two had gone out early that morning to hunt because of Lynxflight, who had gotten up early and woken Jackalleap up because she didn't want to go alone. Jackalleap loved her too much to not agree, so the reluctant and tired brown tom had followed his dusky-furred sister, and now there they were. The two nodded in greeting to Russetstar as they entered and he left, going to drop their catches off at the prey pile.

  • Lynxflight and Jackalleap had dropped off their catches when Daisypetal approached them. Lynxflight greeted her with a wave of her tiny stub-of-a-tail and a smile. Jackalflight just flicked an ear as he sat next to his sister to eat one of the mice he caught. While he ate, Lynxflight responded happily with, "Morning Daisypetal! I'm doing great! What about you? It feels like a good day, no?" Her two forepaws were kneading the grass in front of her, though she didn't really notice. It was a habit she had when she had a lot of energy--almost always--that Jackalleap was trying to help her break. He flicked her paws with his own, which was basically the way he told her to stop. She did, half focusing on not kneading the ground and the other on Daisypetal.

  • Lynxflight let out a small yawn despite not looking tired at all. Blinking her blue-green eyes, she smiled and mewed, "Want to join us for a meal?" She gestured toward the pile beside them, the three pieces of prey--a mouse, squirrel and rabbit--sitting still a little warm from being hunted so recently. She picked up the squirrel and settled down to eat, her gaze keep flicking up at Daisypetal after every bite as she waited for her response.

  • Iceheart reached out to try and press his paws into the fur of his brother, but he felt nothing. He snapped his eyes open as he got to his paws quickly. "After a year, you think I'd be used to not having Flameclaw." He stretched and walked out of the warrior's den, and sat next to the entrence to the warrior's den. Looking at the cats that were already awake. Iceheart started to fall asleep, his head bobbing up and down. Trying to stay awake.

  • Blackpaw swished his tail feeling annoyed. He hissed softly wishing the warriors would just shut up. 'So annoying for being warriors.'he thought to himself. He was the only apprentice right now so he felt a bit lonely which didn't help his grumpyness.

  • "Feel free!" Lynxflight purred, quickly finishing her squirrel. She was known for usually eating very fast, as she always seemed to be wanting to do something. Jackalleap was done as well, as he had only had a mouse. She let out a small, happy sigh. Rolling onto her back, the dusky-brown long-furred she-cat looked upwards at nothing in particular as she mewed, "When do you think Comfreyfrost will send out patrols?"

  • rey squinted her eyes, trying to see past the clamor of the residence. she had not seen cats since... well, a very long time. it hasnt been as long as you think since the accident... A small voice hissed, echoing in the tabby's mind. she closed her spring green orbitals for a moment, filling her chest with forest air, thick with the scent of other cats. rey cocked a bit on her breath and went into a coughing fit, which she tried to hold back. the she cat back slowly away from the camp, hoping no one had taken a notice to her. it was then that she noticed a big russet tom just outsde the bushes...
