  • Hi there!

So, you may have heard about the new theme song feature, a semi-easier way to put music on your profile. Or perhaps you saw the little music bar under your avatar on your profile. Either way,
you might be asking how to use it at this point! In this guide, i'll show you where to set your theme song and how to do it, as well as how to convert songs from itunes to mp3 format so you can use them as theme songs!

So where do I set my theme song?

    1. First, click on your username in the top left corner! A window will pop up. Under 'User Account', find 'Account Management' and click on it!

    2. Now in the box on the left, there will be tons of links, but the one we want is 'Profile Customization'. Click on that!

    3. The theme song settings will be right at the bottom! If you click on choose file, another window will pop up, but don't worry about that yet! We'll get to it next!

How do I set my theme song?

That's easy! All you have to do is click 'Choose File'.

Then, a window will pop up. If you have an MP3 file or 'MPEG Layered Audio' file, click on it and click 'open'. NOTE THAT NO OTHER MUSIC FILE OTHER THAN MP3 WILL WORK! ALSO NOTE THAT THE FILE HAS TO BE LESS THAN 5120 KB OR 5.12 MB!

It'll take a minute or so to upload, but if it worked, you should get a nice green check mark at the top of your screen! After that, you should be able to go to your profile and hit the little play button under your avatar! c:

Extra stuff you may not know!
When you set your theme song, beside the time stamp, there's an arrow pointing down. If you click that, you can download the song!
I'm not sure if you can do this with other people's theme songs, but it's something neat I discovered while I was messing around!

  • How to convert songs from iTunes (v 12.5.4.42) to MP3 Format.

    - Before I start, this can get kind of confusing, so if you can't figure something out, let me know below and i'll help you! c:
First, open itunes. Then go to the "Edit" tab and go down to "Preferences". Click on it.

    - Then a window will pop up. You don't really notice it at first, but it's the button that says "Import Settings" next to the "Ask to Import CD" button. Click on it.

    - This step is REALLY important. If you don't do it right, you won't be able to convert songs to the correct format. When the window pops up, you need to make sure that the drop down bar next to "Import Using" says "MP3 Encoder" and the one below it says "High Quality (160 kbps)". Or, you can just use the screenshot below for help. Then, click "Ok" twice.

    - Now that iTunes is set to convert to MP3, you can convert any song into MP3 format! To do that, click on a song/album and select the song on the list that you want to convert. Go up to the "File" tab in the top left corner and click it. Then, go down to "Convert".

    - If you followed the previous steps correctly, you can hover over "Convert" and another side bar will pop up with an option labeled "Create MP3 Version". At the top of the window, it might say "Converting..." if you aren't playing music. When it's done, it'll play a little notification sound and there will be two versions of the same song. The second one is always the MP3 version, it will always show up beneath the original. However, if you aren't sure, you can always right click on the song, go to "Get Info" and click on "File". If it's an MP3, it will say "MPEG audio file".

    - When you're done, you can drag it onto your desktop and upload it to FeralFront! If you don't want the MP3 version in your iTunes library, go ahead and delete it. As long as you dragged it to your desktop, it will work fine c:

  • I tried but none of my songs works unless it's that is under 5120 KB because none of my songs that is under 5.12 MB doesn't work no matter what, and I always gets this message.

Invalid MP3: Make sure file is smaller than 5120kB and is an MP3 (audo/mpeg).

I don't know what I am doing wrong since I'm almost tried everything that I know.

  • the issue has been fixed!
bumping this- i'm at my dad's until tomorrow night/afternoon and i don't have computer access, so i'll be completing the conversion part of guide then c:
