He watched him, blinking as he stared at him. He then turned his gaze to the unsteady blade in his shaking hand and his eyes widened and he suddenly dropped it, practically tossing on the ground. Dean's gaze returned to Holland, his eyes wide and glossy. " I-I-I.... I-I'm sorry, I-I'm so v-very....," The man's voice shook so badly that he could barely finish his sentences

"Very well- The nobles from the East and South recently have been having border disputes. The Southern sub-kingdom was where the portal emerged, yes? Well apparently, there has been a higher number of wolves around the area and people have gone missing from both sides, and both sides are nearing the declaration of a war. They hoped you could try and talk the otherout of it."
The advisor flipped through a few pages before continuing.
"Approximately two to three members from each sub kingdom will be coming. Both sides are bringing gifts as bribes. Supposedly, two of their children have disappeared among the fifteen dead. Their is no evidence of their lives being taken, only that they are gone." -
Hollond slowly nodded his head placing a gentle hand on the shaken male's head. "It's alright... Now, now... Don't cry..." Hollond cooed as he spread his arms wide and held a sympathetic look on his face, "Would you feel better with a hug?" His head tilted and his frown deepened when the man's voice began to shake and stutter.
-
He stared at him for a moment before he gently stepped forward, wrapping his arms around him in a very tight hug. He was still trembling and mumbling soft apologies to the male a he tried to regain his composure. Hollond made him feel calmer than usual, he felt safe being held like that. He gently pulling away and straightened up, running his fingers through his extremely long hair. He cleared his throat as he leaned down and took the hilt of his sword in his hand, sliding bit back into it's sheath on his hip.
-
"Feeling better...?" Hollond asked, giving the male a crooked yet kind smile. He dropped his arms at his sides and leaned so his hip jetted out in an (extremely) feminine fashion. "Do you need anything else? Want to stop anywhere else?"
-
Dean watched him, giving a Faint smile. " Just to take you to dinner, as thanks for helping me. HE felt terrible for the outburst and wanted to repay him

Zygax gave her a concerned look, "Have you known me to ever not be?" He entered a defensive fighting stance, thinking about changing his style. He had a reach advantage on Lennox, so if he could find the reach, he could tee-away. He decided that he would figure it out in the heat of the moment. A true warrior adapts to the situation.
Aradace tapped the arm of the throne, looking off in the distance, "When Zygax returns he shall send Arl to the border. If either tries to attack, he will force them to retreat and that will set up a border. Also, he could dispatch some others to slay the wolves," at this point anyone would have realized he was thinking out loud, but he focused on his advisor again, "Do you have any other information about the missing young ones?"
-
Lennox took that moment to shorten the distance between them. She strutted around him, sort of like a wolf stalking it's prey. "I'll keep that in mind..." She chuckled, her usual demeanour now crushed beneath her desire to win. "You're always ready..." She murmured, continuing her circle. Lennox stopped now, her foot involuntarily tapping- her excitement unable to be contained. She gave him a small nod of respect and set herself in her stance. This was the universal sign they were ready to begin the match.
-
Zygax watched her closely now that she was prepared. He returned he nod, and decided to swing first. He hoped to connect with a left jab to the torso with medium force behind it, as to find his reach and not beat the tar out of her. He wasn't sure she'd try to same with him, so he kept his right arm held up in defense.
-
"The Northern hunters have nearly perfected wolf hunting, and they will arrive in town soon. Perhaps we can offer them the chance to hunt here. Zygax can also send soldiers to stop these skirmishes and attempt to solidify the ever changing border."
Scribbling something in one of her books, she continued.
"The children were young, and were play in near the edge of the forest when they disappeared. Both sides balm the other, and there are no eye witnesses. The sub kingdoms will be arriving in a week to discuss this matter." -
Lennox was ready but was taken by surprise when Zygax swung first- he had never done that before. The hit contacted slightly as she jumped out of the way before she felt much force from the blow. He was not using his full force. Well what would you expect Lennox? Your fellow warrior to put you in the recovery hall...? "Not like you Zygax..." She tsked playfully, loving that this fight may be less thoughtful and more for releasing all their tension. She recovered quickly from the small hit quickly. loving the small tinge of pain she felt. Pain was always a great distraction from her thoughts. She was able to focus more clear with the sting of an injury. Lennox responded quickly throwing a punch of her own attempting to hit him in the top right side of his arm to throw him off balance so she could move in with a couple fast low impact kicks.
-
I've never RPed a fight scene when neither side wanted to wreck the other's face...
"If they have perfected wolf hunting, then there shouldn't be enough wolves here or there to be a problem," the Daar countered. The hunters would've travelled here already if they were running low on game in the North. "Perhaps I'll give them a chance. I think that is all I need to know on the matter." Secretly, he wanted to know more about the children, but no one probably knew much other than rumors.
Zygax took the punch, he stepped away from it after it had landed so he wouldn't be taken too off-balance. He could take a thousand more punches like that, and he knew she would try something else. He dropped one of his arms to block one of her kicks but the other hit him in the un-defended side. He stumbled slightly, but it was more of him expecting it to stumble him than it being that powerful. He saw the opening as she was recovering from her own kick and threw a hook to her body, trying to slowly chip away at her stamina.
-
Hollond nodded to Dean, a calm smile flitting across his face. "Alright, dinner it is. Though, you have no reason to apologize..." He murmured more to himself than to Dean.
OOC: Just got done driving for hours, too tired to write a long post. May make it longer later...Maybe...
-
OOC: I just want it to be fair instead of those people who are like "I punched you really hard and you lost."
IC: Lennox threw her arms down to stop Zygax's hook, only minimizing the force. It hit her and she bit her lip angrily- she should have been able to dodge that one. Anger, on of her flaws took over as some sort of animal took over her body. She was no longer tactical. Lennox lunged at Zygax going to a series of attacks, before attempting to knock him down by launching her entire body on him.
-
"Arls from the North.. I would say aren't the brightest. Infamous for being head-strong and stubborn as all hell. They are surrounded by the wolves, and are most used to their presence. They say even those in the pods fear the wolves, but I don't believe it to be true; the Northerners do not seem to fear."
Again Nao scribbled something in her book, looking back up at the Daar.
"But the wolves' sudden, mass appearance in the south is what is striking. If I were not of higher education, I would believe it to be a sign from the gods."
Personally, Aester believed this was the work of dark magic.
"Is there anything else I can assist you with?" -
I don't feel that this fight will end in a loss.
Aradace shook his head, "I need to think on this," he motioned for Nao to leave. "Do not become worried if I summon you again later," he added with a slight smile.
Zygax began backing up as she became more aggressive, he had been somewhat expecting it. She usually became aggressive in battle , but he didn't expect it to be with him, especially in a friendly sparring match. Now, using his full effort, he blocked the entirety of the attacks before attempting to wrap his arms around Lennox, to pin her own arms to her side, until this feral rage passed.
-
Probably won't. They'll both pass out. Lol.
Lennox for a moment forgot they were sparring, she was a very competitive person. As she was pulled into his chest, secured by his arms she froze for a couple seconds. Her face became heated and she squeaked before trying to cover up her embarrassment. She struggled, breaking free very ungracefully. She paused, panting, The feral glint in her eyes softened. Calm down. Your bloodlust is a dangerous thing. She took a deep breath before giving her whole body weight into taking the fight to the ground.
-
Maybe it will...Whoooo knows? The RP controls my actions.
Zygax knew fully well he couldn't let her take him down, it would take away his advantages. So, he tried to sprawl, but failed. He usually wasn't trying to sprawl in a actual battle, so he rarely trained for the scenario, and usually, he'd be trying to break his enemy in two. This was different, she was far from his enemy, and by the look on her face when he had wrapped her up, he was very far from hers. At the end of the day though, she still had him on the ground, making it a more fair fight. He brought in his arms to protect his chest and face, and braced for the assault, planning on taking the beating then throw the weakened Lennox off of him if she wouldn't turn him into a bloody mess and declare victory first.
-
Lennox had pinned Zygax down, using her arms to keep him somewhat in place. Her plan was to assault him while she had the advantage- but once again, her body failed her. The close proximity threw her off and she stayed still- making sure she had the power, but not making any moves. She panted, her chest heaving from physical exertion. Her arm twitched. Her whole being wanted to attack but she was unable. A couple moments passed and it was obvious she was not going to throw any punches. What the hell Lennox? PUNCH HIM! Her mind screamed at her. "I-uh-eh..." She sputtered words, her hair hanging down and brushing Zygax's face. She averted her gaze realizing she was still on top of him and jumped off as quickly as she could. She distanced herself as far as she could get. "I think that's good for today. Good work, uh- sir." She brushed herself off and refused to make eye contact. Damn you body. Stop succumbing to animalistic traits. First you try to kill the guy, then you throw yourself on him! Un-lady like!
-
Zygax stood up quickly, not entirely certain what was going on anymore (let's make him clueless). He attempted to close the gap between them, "Lennox, is something bothering you?" She was being completely unlike herself, and that wasn't good. They had spent a lot of time together, and she had grown on him. That being so, he worried and cared about her more than most, and it was probably visible on his face and hidden within his voice.
