  • The Eternal Night-

    The plot:

A new game has come out for the virtual reality device. The eternal night, a similar game to sword art online, but with a twist. there are almost no safe zones, and its always night. Once again though, people cannot log out. A very similar story begins to take place...

    Character classes:

The Knight class. A group mainly focused on their strength and fortitude skills. They start with simple armour and a decent sword.

The Archer class. A group mainly based on their Agility and accuracy skills. They start with a bow and dagger.

The Mage class. A group mainly focused on their wisdom and mana skills. They start with a weaker sword.

The Healers class. A group mainly focused on speed and wisdom skills. They start with a dagger and unlimited weaker healing spells.

The Rogue class. A group mainly focused on their speed and strength. They start with a light sword.

    Special skills:

Special skills are skills that are unique to a player. The skill is something that almost nobody but you will have. This is decided by your characters personality and class choice.

    Legendary Weapons:

let me point something out... These are legendary, that's why i'm not gonna allow people to find them themselves. I your character is really experienced, does something amazing or just gets extremely lucky, I will give them an opportunity to earn one.

    Guilds:

Guilds are made up of four or more players. There are multiple advantages to having a guild.
    - You will not be harmed by players in the same guild, directly or indirectly.
    - You can instantly share your inventory with other players.
-Instant stats boost as long as you are in a guild.
-You can create a safe-zone to build a base on.
    - An ok money income each day, income increases with every new player and the average level of everyone.

    Parties:

Parties are made up of one to three players. They have some good points, but not as much as a guild.

    -Small stats boost.
-Can share inventory as long as you are on the same level as another party member.
    -A small money income.

    Rules:

    1. all wcrpg rules apply.
    2. Every character can die. If yours does something mind blowingly stupid and nobody is around to help, your character will be killed and you will have to make a new one. Sorry, no invincible players!
    3. There are NO players that can hack in the game.
    4. Common sense please guys... Common sense...
    5. No more than two characters please!

    Gabriel Ares
    Age:

    20
    Looks:

    Personality:

Gabriel is a prankster in the simplest of descriptions. He is tricky, fun-loving, good-looking, flirtatious, fleeting, and unlikely to stay in one place for too long. He makes friends easily, however he is rarely fully committed to a friendship and will back out at the first sign of trouble. That being said, he also manages to make quite a few enemies. This often times leads him into trouble. That being said, he does tend to be very straightforward with people, and rarely intentionally does something to harm another. He can be a little greedy sometimes and is also fairly ambitious. His philosophy is simple- friends are nice, but your are your most important ally.
    Class:

    Rogue
    Special skill:
Blink- allows Gabriel to teleport a short distance(6 feet tops) away from his current destination. Can be used up to four times in quick succession before entering a period of cooldown(5 minutes).

    Name:

    'Soul' (Isa Arcaeis)
    Age:

    17
    Looks:

    Personality:

Isa Arcaeis, more commonly known as Soul, spent the last five years in a mental institution after witnessing the death of her father in a fire- she had been hearing voices and seeing shadows. Her home had been set ablaze by one of her father's former coworkers after her father had reported him to the superiors for misuse of business property. She had been the only survivor, and her arms and legs have patches of burned scar tissue on them.
A year ago, she was released from the institution after she seemed to have recovered from her hallucinogenic episodes. After living for quite some time without an incident, she tried to be a normal teen again- only to be thrown into a game she can't escape. Now, her psuedo-ptsd issues have caused her to start being a little... off once again. Though she has episode in which she will stare into the distance for long periods of time or claims to hear or see things, Soul is not a total psycho. She's quiet and reserved, often refraining from breaking into conversations. She is courteous, polite, and a bit cold to strangers. She has no problem with telling the occasional lie, but does take friendship fairly seriously.
    Class:

    Mage
    Special skill:

Ice Phoenix- when in critical health, this ability can be used to restore health to the 3/4 marker. This ability has a long cool down. (1 hour)

  • Name: Helem Somnus

    Age: 20
    Looks:

Personality: Helem is a very calm, mellow kind of man. He will often leave something alone if he does not get an answer, and he is rarely curious about anything. If he will know, then he just needs to wait. If not, then he shouldn't try. He does have a problem as he often seems extremely self-righteous and has a tendency to offer what he would do, something that could get quite annoying over time. However, Helem means well with his actions, and will always help someone in need. He's not above asking for help as well.

    Class: Healer

    Special skill:
Hope: When all party members, including Helem, are below half-health they receive a small buff to all stats. Additionally, all status affects are cured during this time.

    Guild/party?: Open for any. ^^

Other: Glad to see people are still Roleplaying!

  • Accepted :) And thanks for the tracks!

    Name: Damari Stronghold
    Age: 21

Personality: Damari has a very hard working attitude, and stresses easily. He is the type of person that likes to think his choices through before he makes them, and always sees his choices through, taking responsibility for his actions. He is extremely loyal, and can be over protective at times of those he trusts.
    Class: Knight.
Special skill: Guardian- Allows the user to become extremely resistant, raising any armour ratings by 500% for 30 seconds, also tempting weaker monsters to change targets and attack him.
Guild/party?: Hopes to create one some day (Anyone want to party for now?)
    Other:

  • Name: Sawyer Dubois
    Age: 22
Looks (They look like they do irl):

Personality: Sawyer is, above all, a martyr. She is willing to do anything for what she believes is right, even if it means sacrificing herself. It takes awhile for her to warm up to someone, but once she does, she is highly protective and unwaveringly loyal. It is hard to convince her to do otherwise when she has her heart set on something. Though sensible and serious much of the time, she can be downright ridiculous to deal with due to her dogmatic nature.
    Class: Knight
Special skill: Dead or I Love You — This is a kamikaze ability wherein Sawyer's HP is dropped down to 1 and any beneficial status effects she has are dropped, but she unleashes a powerful assault at 500 times her attack power. She is left in a precarious state afterwards, as she is unable to be healed for 10 minutes. This can only be used when her HP is higher than 1, and has a day-long cooldown. Only to be used in desperate situations.
    Guild/party?: Open
    Other: N/A

    Name: Helena Newbury
    Age: 18
    Looks:

Personality: Cheerful and upbeat, Helena shoulders the responsibility of being a bright light in a dark time. She's not always as optimistic and peppy as she appears to be, but she puts on a brave face in order to encourage her companions. Though headstrong at times, she is undeniably reliable and a good friend to have in a world where few can be trusted. She isn't at all naive, despite appearances, but she easily trusts others. She believes that everyone deserves a chance.
    Class: Archer
Special Skill: Abolish Arrow Trifecta — When she uses this skill, Helena must charge her attack for five minutes. She is totally vulerable to attack during this time period, so she must trust her teammates to protect her as she charges. When five minutes are up, she unleashes three arrows at high speed that deal great wind damage to a foe. She can direct these arrows anywhere, whether to one target or to multiple.

  • Name:
    Jay. Or Jayden Delrose
    Age:
    17
    Looks :

    Personality:
Jay is very playful, and can be a bit irritating. She is mischievous and highly intelligent, and as such gets bored often. She enjoys getting into trouble, and hanging out with her friends who have to be nearly as stubborn as she is to put up with her. Jayden can be serious if needed, although she loves making jokes or mocking others and has trouble telling when she goes too far. She tends to act as though she will only look out for herself, but deep down she would never dream of leaving someone behind or refusing to help a friend. Despite that, she can be seen as a bit standoffish, and like she has no friends. Most of her friends are outside of the game, so this is slightly true.
    Class:
    Rogue
    Special skill:
Camoflauge-> Allows Jay to blend into her surroundings for thirty seconds. Has a 2 hour cooldown.
    Guild/party?:
She acts as though she prefers to be a loner but she does want to be a part of one eventually.
    Other:

    Name:
    Sebastian Delrose
    Age:
    19
    Looks:

    Personality:
Sebastian is nearly the opposite of his younger sister. He is calm, usually serious, and relies deeply on having others around him. He easily makes friends, being fairly easy-going even being able to crack a few jokes while remaining serious. He isn't as smart as his sister, and as such is better at focusing and not stopping once he sets his mind to something. Around his sister he is able to loosen up, especially when they are playing a game together that doesn't force them to be serious.
    Class:
    Healer
    Special skill:
I Drop You Raise -> This skill allows him to bring the rest of his party's HP back up to 75% while dropping his to 1%. He is left very vulnerable and it has an hour cooldown. He must have enough HP to spare.
    Guild/party?:
    Searching?

  • Accepted.

There was no fancy message stating that they couldn't get out the game. None at all, in fact that was the scary thing. There was no way out of this game that everyone had joined, the eternal night. With many realising that they were doomed not to see the sun, and without a single place that monsters couldn't spawn unless you were part of a guild. The struggle for survival, territory and a way to finish the game begins.

It had been several hours since Damari had heard about the fact that he couldn't log off. He had looked for himself, and sure enough there was no logout button. The place that everyone spawned in was known as the safer forest. Monsters could spawn anywhere inside it, however they were generally weaker here, and almost none of the monsters had ranged capabilities, making it an ideal place to sleep in, after all, if you were in a tree they couldn't get you, and so that's where he sat, considering what his next move should be.

  • Helem wasn't one to panic. In fact, the shocking news had not hit him as hard as it had the other players. It was still unexpected, but something that he was ready to live with. If it was his fate to leave, then he needn't worry. In the meantime, he knew he had to find others. Both to console and protect. He knew how this could affect people, and it was his job as a healer. Besides, he couldn't do much on his own anyway.

Thus began his time living in a sunless world.

  • The red haired girl had been separated from her brother almost as soon as they had both logged on. At least, she believed so. When Sebastian had found out there was no way to log off, he had distanced himself from his sister knowing this was a time where he needed to be serious. But he stayed close enough to see Jay sitting in a tree, her eyes scanning for anyone around her. The older boy couldn't leave his younger sister alone, even if she was able to defend herself.

  • "Just look at the mess we're in right now."

Sawyer sighs as she settles into a more comfortable position on the thick branch, leaves grazing her dyed-cobalt hair as she shifts. Closing her eyes, she leans against the tree trunk, face scrunched in grim concentration. Helena sits on another branch of the same tree, legs dangling underneath her as she gazes at the night sky. "C'mon. I already said sorry, y'know? It's not like I knew this was gonna happen. Besides, it's probably just a glitch in the system. The game masters'll figure it out soon enough." She holds a slender, wooden bow on her lap, running her gloved hands over the delicate frame. "It'll be fine, Saw. Not time to panic yet."

Sawyer twists her mouth in disapproval but responds with nothing more than a hum. She doesn't even like gaming; her cousin had been the one to convince her into playing with her. Just a couple hours, she had promised. Well, look at where they are now. But she can't find it in her heart to hold it against Helena. After all, as she said, it isn't her fault.

"I've got an idea." Helena cranes her neck around the tree trunk to peer at Sawyer, who raises an eyebrow without bothering to open her eyes. "Let's form a party! Or even a guild. We might as well get a good start, right? We just need to find one or two more people-"

"No," Sawyer says, her voice curt. "We are not teaming up with a stranger. We don't even know any of these people-"

"Hey, you!" Helena calls to a knight sitting in a nearby tree—Damari. Her voice is loud, peppy, and practically impossible to miss. "Yo! You, cute one with the brown hair. Yeah, you. Wanna team up with me and that grumpy girl sittin' over there? Safety in numbers, amirite?"

"Helena!" Sawyer hisses, bolting upright and nearly falling off her branch as she does so. After she regains her balance, she glares at her cousin before glancing at the man Helena had addressed. "I'm sorry about her, she's just-"

"We've got two knights now, and an archer. We probs need a rogue, a healer, and a mage for a full house, huh?" Helena chirps, already taking Damari's acceptance as a given. She twists her head around like an owl, her hazel gaze seeming like a pronounced shade of red as spots one more potential teammate nearby: Jay. "Cute rogue with the red hair! Damn, everyone here is lookin' fine... listen, wanna party with us? We could even make a guild, that's probably better. It'll be fun!"

Sawyer, having given up, simply groans and buries her face in her hands.

  • Damari looked up as he heard someone speaking out loud. It was the first voice he had heard for a while, and it actually shocked him how close it was, Had he been that deep in thought? He had just been thinking about what would be the best way to survive in this dark world. His conclusion had been to form a guild. Yep, a guild. It was the only way the manual had spoken about that you could create a safe zone in. He gazed at the two girls, having completely missed what they said, "Umm sorry, what did you say?" he called over to them, using the trunk to help himself up before walking along his branch and hopping into a tree closer to them, armour rattling slightly.

    //OOC\\

    \\IC//
Hearing someone call out to a 'cute rogue with red hair', Jayden assumed she was being spoken to. Standing carefully on her branch, the girl headed over to where a pair of girls were sitting together. Seeing only a dark haired guy approaching she assumed she was right. Balancing as the branch grew weaker the closer she got, Jay crossed her arms. "A party or a guild? I have heard a guild is the only way to get a safe zone... Although I usually solo in games like this." She could almost hear her brother's voice telling her that 'Even she wasn't that dumb.'

  • "Hey, be careful," Sawyer warns as the other knight teeters along his branch and hops into a tree closer to them, only relaxing when she decides that he is safe. She isn't too keen on teaming up with a stranger, but she certainly doesn't want anyone to get hurt. Even if it's just in a video game. She wonders what would happen if she was to die in the game. Either she would respawn somewhere or be forcibly logged out. In fact, it might be a good idea in this situation to purposely get herself killed, since there's the chance that she could get herself dropped from the game. It seems sensible to try, but an ominous feeling warns her of the possibility that she might die in real life as well. But that's silly, right? This is just a video game. Despite her reasoning, though, the foreboding won't go away, and she finally decides that she'll only try it if she gets desperate.

While Sawyer ponders to herself, Helena smiles and waves at the man, yelping as the energetic movement almost causes the bow in her lap to fall. "Sorry, sorry. I said, wanna party with me and my cousin over there? Even better, found a guild with us. I'm Helena, by the way. That's-"

"I'm Sawyer," the cobalt-haired woman interrupts with a grunt. "I can introduce myself."

"Right, right, right. So yeah, that's Saw. You can call her that too."

    "No he can't-"

Helena claps her hands together with a million-watt smile as she watches Jay approach. "Hey, don't fall! So, uh, if ya didn't catch my introduction, I'm Helena and that's my cousin Sawyer. I mean, I guess soloing is cool and all, but. We don't really know how long we're gonna be stuck in here, so it would probably be good to stick with some people. Dangerous out there, y'know?" She morphs her expression into what she thinks is her most convincing puppy-dog eyes, which causes Sawyer to snort under her breath. "Please? It'll be fun! We'll build a totally hella safe zone. Like, an entire friggin' castle. If that's possible."
