    Setting: A Victorian ball.

Balls, It was a time for lovers to dance, for the wealth to socialize, For some to simply show off~
For Ryan? It was a time of complete stress. Had the blind young man been able to see, He would have enjoyed the sight of ladies in lovely ball gowns and men dressed handsomely in suites. Twirling in a way that would catch many's breath. But Ryan could not see such- Having been dragged to the ball by his friends. He had been unable to bring his trust dog. Leaving him with simply a cane and the hopes to have his friends shoulder to lean on. That had faded instantly as his buddy had soon disappeared to go flirt with girls. Leaving Ryan alone swarmed by music he might have found beautiful had this all not been completely stressing him out. Right now, It simply was loud in his ears and made it hard for him to detect those around him.

Luckily, He had managed to make his way to a table to sit. A breath came from the young mans lips. Murmuring. "Its fine Ryan.. Stay calm." He hated big groups like this, Especially dances like this- There was just so much movement and noise and Ryan tended to drift upon the side lines. It wasn't hard to tell the boy was struggling. Especially as he lifted his hand to call for a waiter. Who arrived at his side. Ryan then allowed himself to murmur. "Wine please." He asked, At least he could drink here! But then that was shot down as the waiter laughed and ruffled his hair. Telling him. "Sorry Kiddo. We don't serve drinks to kids." And with that the waiter left. Leaving Ryan with a very frustrated look. He was hardly a kid! He was old enough to drink! But plenty of people were quick to assume he was only 16 or something. So- Thus. Ryan sat there with furrowed eyebrows of displeasure.

Poppy however, wasint old enough to be drinking as she was only a teenager, having just turned 16 (unlike Ryan who actually was old enough). She had ways to get drinks however. She put on a fake show for people to get what she wanted; she flirted, she pretended to care and to be super interested and left as soon as she got what she wanted. And that exactly what she'd done. Poppy hated get togethers like this, but it meant free food and drinks and she'd suffer through socializing with people she didn't care about any day for that. Carrying two drinks in her hand, she reached out and handed a glass to Ryan. "I'm only giving you this because seeing you pout in the corner all night like this would get very annoying to look at." the platinum blonde replies coolly before taking a sip of her own drink, making plans in the back of her head to leave as soon as possible.

Ryan nearly found himself jumping at the sound of a females voice. Mind racing, But it didn't take long before Ryan was putting a mark on who this was. -Poppy. The little brat-Oh, She was bringing wine? He ment most wonderful girl ever! Yeah.. Thats totally what he ment. A big smile grew on his face, But he found himself briefly wondering how in the world she had gotten such? She was younger then him! But he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. So soon murmured. "Thank you, M'Lady. " He said, With a nod of the head. Soon reaching his hand out to take it. He hoped it was the good wine- Ryan wasn't a very big fan of the stronger kinds like whiskey. He frankly preferred the more 'girly' Or fruity drinks. Atleast they tasted good! Taking a small sip, He figured it best to make conversation with his little Hero. So soon murmured. "So, Tell me? Are half of the people looking as stupid as I imagine?" He asked, Goodness knows plenty of them probable didn't actually know how to dance. Ryan himself couldn't really dance ether- But thats because he didn't exactly care to learn.

He held a glass, seemingly filled with apple cider though it was actually white wine. His parents had allowed him to have a glass; he had just turned eighteen, after all.

He took a sip and glanced over at the table where Ryan and Poppy were socializing and he quickly turned back to his parents, not paying any mind to them.

[fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;][justify]Sylvia stood alone, nibbling at the tiny servings of food that were offered as snacks. In all honestly she wasn't actually hungry, just extremely nervous to be around so many people. She tugged uncomfortably and the gown she wore, it was beautiful. Her mother had given it to her as Sylvie did not own any herself. It was a silver gown that flowed to the floor, covered with dozens of frills and other fancy things that Sylvia didn't know much about. Her long blonde hair lay loosely, cascading down her shoulders. She remembered her mother gushing about how 'lovely' she looked, but Sylvia didn't quite agree. Formal occasions weren't usually on her agenda that often, so right now she felt like such an outsider.

Sylvie swirled the wine glass she was holding, an action she often saw adults doing (she had no idea why) and continued to search the room. Her gaze finally rested on a blonde boy in a tuxedo, he looked around her age, but didn't seem very approachable. He was also kinda...cute. A small noise escaped her mouth as she quickly banished the thought from her mind, feeling her cheeks flush with redness as she quickly averted her gaze. He'd never even speak to someone like her, maybe she should just continue eating all the free appetisers until the ball ended.
