  • Cam had been wandering about for however long now. The new apprentice was ready to experience clan life and was glad to have the chance. Her fiery red pelt was newly cleaned and prepared for the chance to join Windclan. Her green eyes were brighter than normal as she approached. She was excited to join a clan. Hopefully, this interaction would go as she always dreamed. She sat at the border and her paws kneaded the ground beneath her. She felt the urge to draw attention to herself, but decided against it. She decided to wait.

  • Dawnpaw had been out hunting though her efforts had proved to be useless. Stumbling upon no prey she was surprised to catch sight of a red furred figure in the distance. Her paws pressed against the cold ground as she approached, hesitant, wondering should I get someone else, just in case? But by the time she finished her thought she was already a mere few tail lengths away from the stranger.

"Hello," she spoke in a gentle voice, eyeing the she-cat. "This is WindClan territory, trespasser. Is there a reason you are here?"

  • dawny, should we go get someone? Leafpaw said walking up from the ridge and towards the edge of windclan terrtory. were just you know, two appertinces! We should wait for a warrior to come!" She said looking at the other cat.

  • "Um, I am sorry. I didn't mean to trespass," She said apologetically as she took a step back trying to find the edge of the border. This was already going worse than she would have liked. "And, yes, I was hoping to join your clan. That is if you would let me." She stared down at the ground in embarrassment.

  • "Leafpaw, can you go get Sootstar?" Her tail flicked. "Our leader will need to decide whether you join us or not." She noticed the strange taking a step back and the girl tried to soften her expression, lowering her shoulders. "I'm Dawnpaw, one of the apprentices here. It's nice to meet you."

  • After the great acceptance he had got to join the clan note the sarcasm he was really unsure whether Sootstar would let another outsider in. "I could go try and get him for you..." he said, padding up. But then was it wise to leave apprentices with a stranger? It may be.. because they knew way more about defending themselves then he did.. what without front claws. "O-or I'll stay here.. I'm not so sure he'd like me telling him..." he added, curling his tail around his paws.

  • "I'm Cam, and its nice to meet you too." She said. She appreciated Dawnpaw's gentle approach to her and began to ease. Hopefully, Sootstar would let her stay. She didn't know if she could find another place, and honestly she posed absolutely no threat to the clan. She didn't have much practice in battle. Dawnpaw could probably take care of herself against Cam. The new cat, whose name Cam wasn't aware of, seemed different than the other two in their actions. While the other seemed to know what they were doing and exactly how to do it. The other seemed unsure of themself. "Why wouldn't he like you telling him?" she questioned, "You live here too, right?" She had no clue the boundaries she might be stepping over. And, although, her heart was in the right place, she had no regard for anyone else in that moment. Then again, she was trying to understand.

  • "I am only here until I prove myself. If I fail, I will be chased out." He glanced at his paws. What if he was being watched right now? He straightened up, giving his just now growing back fur a few nervous licks.

  • Cam noticed Stormhaze's weird actions and listened to his story. She couldn't help but feel sad for him. Was this what clan life was like? Staying just long enough to realize that you're not good enough and then being sent away. Was that what was in store for her? If it was she would make herself be up to the challenge. This was extremely important to her. "I think you can do it," she said. I mean, sure we only just met, but I believe if anyone tries hard enough they can do anything they set their minds to, she continued in her head. She didn't need to say anything else that might be a bit over the line. She would restrain herself.

  • "Thanks. I'm going to do my best." He replied. He just hoped his best would be enough.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; color:; font-size: 10pt; text-align: justify; overflow: auto; width: 500px;]Fortunately enough, Sootstar had been hunting nearby, so when wind drifted his way of a new joiner, he picked up the rabbit in his mouth and padded to the border, the ginormous maine coon twitching his whiskers curiously "Cam," he repeated, thoughtfully; he hadn't let Stormhaze in at first because he looked liked he'd just be a waste of space, but if someone came up who was filled with energy and could present a chance to fill the clan's ranks and provide, he wouldn't chase them away. Cam looked like a cat that WindClan could benefit from. "my name's Sootstar. Like Stormhaze, you'll be given a trial period, and if you prove yourself able to become a full member of WindClan, you'll be granted full membership by the next meeting. Speaking of meetings, are you willing to change your name in the future?"

  • She listened in silence to the brief conversation between Stormhaze and Cam. Her body grew tense and her eyes narrowed at her mentors arrival, and she made sure to keep her distance from the brown tom. Tail flicking, she waited for him to finish speaking before she chimed in.

"I will show Cam around the camp." Dawnpaw did not offer this - she stated this. She did not trust the new apprentice alone in the presence of the leader or Stormhaze, though the newest WindClan warrior had yet to give her reason not to trust him. "Perhaps we can discuss a name you might take on, should you become an apprentice here." Cam must be a kittypets name. I wonder why they left their home to become a warrior?

  • "Uh, I guess," she said. She couldn't help but find that an odd question. But, she wasn't against it. Her name sounded kind of boring to her. She was a bit concerned about the trial period, but she thought she could do it. If she tried and worked hard she could probably, maybe do it. "Thanks," She said to Dawnpaw. And, she would like some help picking out a name. I'm not very good at that she thought. "Yeah. I could probably use some help with that."
