Today happened to be one of those winter days where the temperature outside felt mildly nice, instead of terrifyingly cold. It seemed only right to take advantage of this to enjoy herself in ways that usually did not work well at this time of year, since she wouldn't get much of a chance again until the weather warmed up.

She'd set up a small campfire by the river, cooking a fish on sticks and, of course, a few marshmallows. The girl did enjoy sugar a bit more than which her body appreciated, but she did do a lot of physical activity, so she gave herself a pass on that.

Now, of course, the fire didn't produce a sweltering heat, unlike how it would during the summer, and she found herself relaxing by the flames. Occasionally, the serval would poke the fire with a hefty stick, but other than that, she seemed to have the patience required to cook the meat. However, she did realize that there was definitely too much for just herself, which caused the warrior to frown. Being wasteful wasn't her intention, so this was quite unfortunate.

She enjoys the sun as much as the next, albeit she appreciated the cold so much more. It made her feel cozy inside her thick pelt, her plethora of ivory fur, and while she did like the ball of gas in the sky, she preferred the winter seasons. Albeit the temperature was still chilly outside, to her pleasing. When she went for the stroll, pushing her worry for her kids to the back of her mind, Kali did not entirely expect to find what she did.

Her nose detected it before her eyes or ears did. The smell of burning wood, but not Duncan's burning wood. There was.. cooking. Fish, not her favorite, but a pleasant smell nevertheless. When she happens upon Embeddedpython and her relatively small fire, Kali halts with a slight smile. Altering her course, the direhound approaches the serval and inclines her head. "This is probably not the most ideal time for an introduction," she begins quietly, "But.. if I wanted to compliment your fire, shouldn't I know your name first?" She tips her head with a warm curve of her maw, question dancing about in cobalt blue eyes.
