• It was her last summoning, she hoped.

As much as her magic and spells meant to her, her summoning was becoming too dangerous. It was taxing a toll on those around her and herself, and she couldn't bare it anymore. There were so many other spells in her tome, she knew she could learn them with ease without hurting another, yes? She was going to make RiverClan proud of her one day. She just needed to correct her mistakes.

It was easier summoning a demon. Some prey, enticing blood, the correct circle and spell, and you had yourself a vicious monster to deal with. But to summon something from your own plane while it was mixed with the essence of another plane was another thing entirely and demanded a much more personal offering. "But if it's to get my father back." She thought as she drew the final touches on the circle. "It'll be worth it."

She stepped back, looking at her handiwork with a small form of pride. It was much larger, much more intricate than her other ones. It needed to be to the letter if it's going to do the task at hand. She looked at her trembling paws, taking a deep breath to steel herself for the next part. "Now for the hard part." A white claw unsheathed and was placed against the delicate shade of blue enveloping her fur.

"Qesw swez zhydd, E kybu bosy. (With this spell, I defy fate.)" She started to recite, placing the claw on her chest. Red ran down her chest in a trickle, causing the demi-angel to almost lose her nerve. "Qesw swez xdaak, E xyzyypw swy koln. (With this blood, I beseech the dark.)" Her claws continued to scrape downward, blood touching salt with a sizzling hiss as the ground inside started to glow a slimy green. "I can do this..." She took a breath to steady herself. "Qesw swez abbylefr, E podd ihaf swy Sqezsefr Fyswyl. (With this offering, I call upon the Twisting Nether.")

It happened in an instant. The pain. She felt like her entire body was searing itself from the inside out as a fraction of her soul was ripped from her body. The starry-looking whisp howled while it was forced to the center of the circle, becoming engulfed immediately in hellish green flames, forming the beginnings of the portal that had haunted her day and night. She steeled herself once more. "One last push."

"XLEFR TY SWY AFY QWA QOZ DAZS! (BRING ME THE ONE WHO WAS LOST!)"

The portal exploded in front of her, singing bits of her fur with it's intensity. She had done it. Cade could return.

Cade felt as though he had been floating through space and time, the darkness swallowing him whole and muffling his senses. Days felt like years, and years felt like centuries. Familiar voices in his head faded into garbled nothings. Familiar faces warped into disfigured lumps. Sylmae, Nebulacub, Jacqueline, Ivylee, everyone. Cade could no longer recall any of them. It was like the world he inhabited feasted on his memories, sucking them forcefully from his mind and leaving the male a blank slate.

A flash of green caught his attention, illuminating the inky world surround his galactic frame. Cade's angular cranium turned towards the portal and instinct drove him to move towards it. A slight tug pulled him closer to the opening. He was almost there... so close...

a flash of light, ground beneath his crumpled body, the labored breath of another...

Cade's eyes opened and for the first time in a long time, he saw. The grass, the trees, everything. Coughing as air filled his lungs, the intergalactic colored wildcat stood up slowly and willed his limbs to stop trembling. Damn, why did he feel so weak? "Wh-Where am I?" the advisor rasped, his gaze turning to Nebulacub and revealing nothing but confusion.

  • With the portal intact, Nebula crumbled to the ground. The spell had taken most of her energy as well as her soul, and it was going to be a long time until she attempted something that large again. "I just hope it works." A cold pit of fear was starting to form in her stomach. What if she summoned something worse, like the apocalypse? "I can't be that strong, can I?"

But the portal started to shimmer, and out came the one she wanted. She got back onto her paws hastily, watching her father with huge eyes. "Daddy!" Nebulacub cried out, running into the circle and kicking up the salt as she aimed to tackle her leg. Due to the disruption of the salt, the portal vanished behind him. "Your home, daddy! I got you back, I got you back!"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;line-height:1.5]The ivory hued direhound finds herself standing, frozen, unable to speak. Her maw is parted, slightly ajar with surprise, but not a sound escapes. Had she found Nebulacub a moment earlier, perhaps she would have tried to stop Nebulacub - knowing the dangers her summoning possessed. What if she sucked her own self into a portal this time, and then what would poor Sylmae do?

But she had brought Cade back. There stood the galactic patterned male, his face a mask of confusion, and Kali was moving. Forward she padded, with great care and slight hesitation, until she halted next to the hooded cub.
"Cade?" The pretty lupiness inquires, almost questioning of the advisor could identify his own name. If he contracted amnesia from this, it would really suck, but at least he was alive. "Cade? Are you okay?"

What Nebulacub had done was not something that she had ever thought possible, which was very peculiar, considering who she was. She was just happy that Cade was back, because that meant Sylmae had her husband back. "We're so thankful you're back," Emilia said.

Arabella had been working to figure out what'd went wrong with the whole thing, but she was startled awake from her nap by nearby voices. She hurried over to the group, feeling relief wash over her as she looked at her brother-in-law. "She's brought you home, Cade. Your daughter is... A very exceptional magic-wielder." The vampiress spoke, beaming with pride at her niece's accomplishment.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;]Cade was back? It was remarkable how little Nebula could do such things. Of course he would never dabble in magic of any kind but the cub had managed to get her father back. He was happy for her no less. The ebony canine turned his orange eyes towards the star pelted advisor, studying him carefully. Whatever had happened to the male on the other side of Nebula's portal had really done a number on him. Welcome back. He rumbled with a slight incline of his head. Sylmae would be happy to see him, that was for sure.

Nebby had done it. She had done the one thing that could brighten up Mae's days, aside from her removal of most of the bad things in her life. Or, well, people. She got to make the choices she wanted to to feel good about herself, like everyone else. At least she hadn't taken to sleeping around like she could have, which would have been the worst possible choice of her life. Her golden eyes widened as she moved forward, her gaze finding her husband and she breathed a sigh of relief. "Cade. I'm so happy you're back." Mae whispered softly as the husky pushed herself forward and aimed to gently press her nose to his shoulder to express her happiness. If she could purr, she would, but being a canine, it was hard to do so. She was just happy that he was back. She had a small, small mental break but it hadn't lasted long and she didn't care if people looked down on her for it. Their opinions didn't matter to her.
• [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 400px] Kingfisher had no doubt he'd get backlash for showing up, but when did he give a *? He didn't, in fact, he didn't even care to look at Sylmae. These were her kids, it was her responsibility to teach them it wasn't okay to do something so dangerous as magic around actual people until they had a clear grasp on the subject, but that wasn't why he was here. The jaguar parted his jaws in a sultry rumble, his maw filling with a gentle purr.

"Well would you lookie, there. You did something about it. Congratulations, Nebulacub, that was quite the feat of magic. I'm proud that you took initiative." Sure it was no kind of compensation for the rather pointed words he'd said before, but in that time, it didn't really seem like anyone save for Duncan had understoof where he was coming from. There was no sense in groveling if something could be done. But Fish digressed, it was a miracle Cade was back unharmed, and now he at least had an idea who the male was. Taking a seat away from the group to save himself from potential lash outs, the panther wrapped his striped tail around his haunches.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid white; width: 450px; text-align: left; height: auto; font-size: 20pt; text-shadow:2px 2px 2px #000000; color: #9370db; font-family: georgia; line-height: 90%]cade winzor darling harbringer!

    [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid white; width: 450px; text-align: justify; height: auto; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 130%; margin-top: -8px]
The moment Nebulacub made contact with Cade's leg, the galaxy pelted male tensed and a guttural growl rumbled deep in his throat. Cedar hued eyes darkened until they were solid black, the white sclera nonexistent and irises diminished. "Release me." the male warned in a low voice, aiming to shake the cub off of his leg. "I don't know why you address me as 'daddy', but stop." Cade added with a grunt, clearly displeased with the little spawn.

Kali's voice caught his attention and the galaxy hued male turned to face her. His face twisted into a sneer briefly as he considered her question, then his façade shifted into a slight smirk. "I'm fine, sweetcheeks. Better now that you're here." His blackened gaze was drawn to her pale coat, something that stood out greatly from the darkness he had been subjected to for so long.

Emilia, Kingfisher, and Giovanni received simple grunts of acknowledgement as they arrived considering Cade didn't find them all that interesting. They welcomed him back, woop-dee-doo! Wherever back was considering Cade wasn't even sure where he currently stood.

Arabella would have received a grunt as well, except she said something that caught the demonic male's attention. Daughter. "I don't have a daughter. Children are useless; a waste of time and space." Cade muttered with a shake of his head. He'd never father children. Cade wasn't about that life.

Sylmae's nose pressed against his shoulder startled the clouded leopard and he released another low growl. What was up with these strangers touching him?! "I don't know who you are, but step aside. I don't have time for thirsty bitches right now." Cade snarled, raising a paw and aiming to push Sylmae away from him, his black visionaries narrowed dangerously.

Sylmae grunted as she was shoved and her ears pinned back as she stared at the male. "Cade I.." Sylmae whispered as she stared at him. No, he couldn't have honestly meant those things about her, right? "I'm your wife, Cade." She was hoping that he understood that, but she doubted that he did. He didn't even know who his daughter was, didn't accept her and that hurt her more than anything. She knew that her words, though, wouldn't snap him out of it and her bottom lip trembled a little bit. Had he.. truly forgotten everything they had together? That wasn't possible, Mae wouldn't give up on him, but she doubted that pushing him would help right now. Not to mention having your husband call you such horrible names was kind of an emotional destroyer.
• You could hear Nebula's heart just cracking into pieces at that moment.

The galaxy-coloured cub was shaken off, opening her mouth in playful protest when she heard his words. What? "Daddy? But..But you are my daddy. You're Cade right? You're my daddy cause you're with mommy." The kitten's fur began to prickle while all the imaginable thoughts were beginning to go through her head. Did she do something wrong again? Did she summon some mimic demon by mistake, did she somehow fry her father's memories? "D-Daddy, why...why are you talking to mom like that? Don't you remember us? RiverClan? Y-You're an Advisor here, how..how do you not remember us."

"Children are useless; a waste of space and time." She visibly deflated at that, looking so hurt at that one statement that she almost started to cry then and there. "Daddy..Daddy thats not nice.."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;line-height:1.5]The fluffy tail waving around behind her was drawn tight, clinging to her thigh as Kali's confusion warps into immovable fear. Cade was back, and alive, but he.. was not himself. Her blue eyes are framed by fictional brows, each lowered to express her confusion and hesitance. Her maw parts, but she does not speak, for what is she supposed to say? For one, Duncan had been the only other to ever flirt with her, but she had.. known him. Not Cade, especially not when his memories had escaped him and his wife was right there. So Kali takes a step back out of hesitance, despite her yearning to get Nebulacub a safe distance away. If Cade was as unpredictable as he seemed, well..

"You.. you're not yourself," the murmur escapes barely parted jaws, ivory hued fur along her spine lifting ever-so-slightly. The situation was rather alarming, was it not?

A derisive snort escaped the male's maw as Sylmae announced herself as his wife. "Sure, and I'm the king of the world." Cade scoffed. He would have dropped the subject entirely, but he noticed the tremble in her bottom lip. Nonexistent brows knit together as he processed her hurting, and for a split second his eyes brightened before completely dimming again. "No tears, babe. There's enough Cade to go around. If you show me to your den, I'll make everything feel better. I swear." he grunted, offering Sylmae a wink.

"What did I say about that daddy shit, you pipsqueak?!" the male snapped angrily, his head swinging around so that he was facing Nebulacub. "Leave me alone! I don't know you, I don't know RiverClan, and I sure as hell don't know or care about your mommy!" Cade snarled as his bared teeth snapped warningly towards the hooded cub. This urchin was getting on his nerves and if she began crying he surely lose it.

    'You... you're not yourself.'

"Oh yeah? Then who the hell am I? Tell me. Go ahead, tell me." Cade huffed as he turned back to Kali, his tail flicking with irritation because now the hot one was wary of him.

    [/fancypost]

  • The small cub stepped backwards, shaking with barely suppressed hysterics. No, this wasn't how it was supposed to be at all. Cade was supposed to be back, be an advisor, be a good and loving father like he had been before. But this..this creature that stood before her was nothing like her father. "You...we even look alike, Da-Cade...you...how can you not...I..." The kitten sniffled, a few tears dropping. "How...How is that not enough proof for you?!"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; border-bottom: 0px solid; min-height: 50px; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify; font-family: word-spacing: 95%]
When he heard Cade was back, the canine was happy, bounding over with a smile, his tail wagging. However....there was something off. There was anger.

Yelling. Arguing. How much of it was he going to hear in a week. He was happy his adoptive dad was back, but this was not what he wanted to hear at all. Cade was snapping at his family, much like Fish had...but worse, and he would do the same thing. He would not let this happen.

His hackles rose and the German Shepherd stalked his way to stand in front of Nebula, his eyes narrowed and cold. "Don't talk to her like that." the low growl sounded for him as he defended his sister, eyes narrowed and tail raised and stiff. He was definitely not who expected him to be...would Miss Mae really marry someone so.....rude? No. there was something wrong, everyone noticed that. Taking a defensive step forward, his eyes narrowed further.

Dad. He was supposed to call this guy dad? No. this was too much. Too much like his old parents. Abiliene as Sylmae and Koday as Cade. This situation was all too familiar, and while there was less agression towards his new mother, there was aggression towards family. And family to him....was everything. "You're a rude, abusive, horrible person...that's what you are." did he mean abussive? No. this guy hadn't done anything but emotional hurt obviously...but he was starting to confuse his memories with reality currently because everything going on was so alike his past. And his past was turning his reality into an unhappy aggressive swirl of emotions that were leading to nothing but snapping at and disliking people that were anything similar to his real father. It was horrible...but it was what it was. He didn't know how to distinguish the two...but he'd have to figure something out before long. He was not an unhappy, angry soul.

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 400px] This had gone on long enough, in his opinion. He got to his feet and walked over, claws extending into the ground. Sweeping a protective tail over Sylmae's shoulder, the large jaguar lowered his head, growling fiercely. "This is your husband? Sounds like a real dick face," he rumbled to the archangel, just between the two of them before his anger swept across his face, wrinkling his maw. He didn't know this guy, hell, he really didn't want to now, but this was ridiculous. Even if he'd been an asshole to the lot of Sylmae's family, he'd had good intentions. This guy? This guy was like a ticking time bomb, and Fish wasn't about to wait around and watch him explode.

"You watch your * mouth talking to this lady, she's had enough because of you. I don't know what the *'s going on but if you sexualize her one more time, you're gonna get what's coming to you. Those kids love you and you're treating them like trash."

His green eyes, narrowed from his guttural snarl, casting themselves at Nebulacub, momentarily. "You sure this thing isn't an imposter? I don't know about magic, and I know you had a good heart, but what's wrong with this guy? Is this really your daddy?"

Maybe he was the wrong guy? An alternate version of Cade? In all his days as a spirit, he'd been banned from the other knowledges of the universe, being told to only focus on earth and nothing else. Fish had disobeyed, of course, but this borderlined a supernatural he wasn't quite sure he knew about. But dammit, he wasn't going to let him touch Sylmae, or Kali, or anyone if he didn't know them, if this wasn't the real deal. There was only room for one perverted asshole here, and Fish would be damned before he let him make a mockery of a family he'd yet to have the time to apologize to.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px; line-height: 13px;][shadow=black,left]♕ lonewolf[/shadow]
What the hell was going on here? Lonewolf had absolutely no idea, but what he did know was that something was definitely wrong here. This was not Cade at all.. Or, at least, this wasn't the Cade that he knew, and by the looks of it, none of his other Clanmates knew this Cade either. Stalking over to the scene cautiously, Lonewolf slipped into a place towards the side of the crowd and stared at the advisor, his yellow-green gaze piercing into him.

His claws slowly began to unsheathe as a strange aggression overtook his senses - It was similar to the feeling he'd felt when he'd accidentally blasted a hole in the cave wall with lightning. In fact, it was exactly like that feeling, but it wasn't as strong. He was able to contain himself at this level, but if he were to be provoked any further, he wasn't sure if he would be able to tame the feeling. He didn't want to accidentally electrocute his Clanmates to death with a bolt of lightning just because he wasn't able to control himself, because frankly, he hadn't learnt how to yet.

"Cade..." Lonewolf growled. His claws were being pressured onto the stone below since they were unable to curve into the ground. He was keeping himself steady, just incase. "What happened to you while you were gone?" None of his Clanmates had bothered to ask the question themselves so he decided to step up and ask it himself. He wanted to know why Cade was like this, and why he was treating his Clanmates like absolute sh*t. He wasn't going to stand for this treatment, but at the same time, he didn't know what this version of Cade was capable of. He didn't want to accidentally provoke him by verbally defending his Clanmates.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;]A soft snarl escaped the as male as he heard him say the things that he did and completely disown his child directly in front of her. He knew that something had to have been up when he silently watched the male earlier, but this simply confirmed it. He might not have remembered anything but that was no excuse for him to act the way he did. But what really bothered him was the way he spoke to Sylmae, as if she were some sort toy to be played with and dropped two seconds later. That's your wife. You need to show her more than just a little respect when addressing her, always. You don't know what she's suffered through during your disappearance. But one thing is for certain, you'd better shut up speaking to her like that. I don't care how confused you are right now. He didn't like Cade, not one bit. Any and all respect he could have possibly gained for the advisor died the moment he had to go save Sylmae from Shadowclan rather than him.

But this only sealed the deal. He was horrible husband material. And he sure as hell wasn't about to let the corrupted male lay a single paw on Sylmae. He didn't care if they were married or not. Once Duncan arrived he was more than sure the large direhound would take care of Kali. Perhaps Nebula should have left him where she had pulled him from. Your daughter just saved your ungrateful ass from wherever she snatched you from. You need to be thanking her, not pushing her away. His cutting gaze shifted from the star pelted male to look upon Nebula as Kingfisher spoke to her. All of the questions he asked her were exactly what he had been thinking. No that's him...he's just out of it. Giovanni muttered with a ghost of a sneer streaking across his ebony maw. Perhaps you know a spell or something to make him get himself back together?

Cade was.. different. Way different. She had literally never seen him act like this before in his life and him hitting on Kali hit her right in her pride. Mae's tail curled between her legs as she took a step back, shaking her head a little bit. "You might look like my husband but you're not him. I'd die before I invited you into my den." Mae whispered, swallowing her pain as she lifted hardened golden eyes to look up at him. But now Fish was standing up for her and so was Giovanni but all she could think about was her children. "You better hope to God you snap out of this real fast or your children will learn to hate the man that created them." Mae said softly as she shifted her small form over towards Nebulacub and she aimed to press against her lightly, shielding her from the male she was meant to call father.

She just wanted her husband back and this wasn't him. And she wasn't about to settle and call it good, because she was not okay with being bullied. All those old, horrible memories torn away and now look at her, creating new ones as they spoke. "This wasn't Nebby's fault, not with the spell. I guess there really is no such things as going to hell and coming back okay." Mae said quietly as she glanced over the others. If only the male had let her get close enough to him, maybe she would have been able to save her husband before the demon inside of him ruined him further.
