— john is a compact man - lacking in height and exceeding in muscle tone, with the slightest bit of pudge around his stomach. he is skinny from lack of self-care, but not nearly enough to be alarming. short limbs with large, webbed paws, and a cropped tail. the bobcat's coat is predominantly blond, a light, sandy color with soft cinnamon accents. his fur is short, cropped, with the slightest curve of fur on top of his head. there are flecks of silver, mostly from stress, dotting his short muzzle; with a small pink nose and long translucent whiskers. his ears are large and pointed with soft brown tufts at the top, mostly black in hue with an ivory diamond pattern on the back of both. his eyes are a stunning sort of blue - lapis lazuli in shade, alight with emotion, whether it be good or bad. this man can often be found wearing a tan / cream or blue jumper and silver dog tags, often worn to conceal the scarred tissue on his shoulder; a large, starburst-shaped gunshot wound acquired years ago. the edges are frayed and wrinkled, a tender pink color despite being old, not pretty in the slightest. he does not like to talk about it, and usually won't.

— john is a very complex man, to most. a former army doctor, his mind suffering from the memory of war and the too-fresh memory of his best friends suicide. he tends to bottle up his anger, until pushed past his breaking point and letting go in sharp outbursts, harming any and all those around him with spiteful words. although he is bit daft when it comes to certain things, watson is not a stupid man ( he is, after all, an army surgeon ), but he does not have holmes' insight. he serves as a foil: the ordinary man against the brilliant, emotionally-detached analytical machine that holmes can sometimes be. he prefers working with objective data, facts, and details and has an immaculate memory to store past experiences which he draws upon for guidance. he is extremely focused, self-assured, and his interests lie in few subjects that he has worked to acquire extensive knowledge about. after john was discharged and sent back to england from afghanistan, he subconsciously felt inadequate or crippled; as if he had been stripped of his purpose. these feelings, combined with the physical trauma he experienced, may have manifested itself into what became his psychosomatic limp (somatoform disorder). his feelings of being mentally or emotionally crippled seemed to have digressed into a physical sensation. watson also suffers from a form of post-traumatic stress disorder, resulting in night terrors and little sleep.

♛ ara is a very traditional kind of girl and a relationship with her is immediately very serious, she doesn't date to simply date, she dates to ensure marriage. she's a pretty controlling person and mostly expects to find someone who can accept that and can work with her instead of constantly trying to argue with her. she is not, by any means, a person for pda and she expects her mate to understand that their relationship is something very private and something that she doesn't want everyone to be very aware of how they feel or what they do. she believes a romance should be between two people and two people only, both literally and figuratively - she doesn't understand polyamourous relationships and she doesn't understand people who need to make their relationship public.

— aramaiti is a medium sized saluki, scarily thin for those who do not know the average build of a saluki but for her breed she is in tiptop condition, lean and muscular and despite her small appearance it would be best if you did not underestimate her because you can see her ribs. she is a short haired canine, however, her ears and tail have longer fur; her hair is always well taken care of and always well groomed - ara never seems to have a hair out of place and just looks well put together at all times of the day. now, as for color her fur is a mix of white and black - her face, chest, legs, belly, tail and parts of her ears are a pretty bright white while her back is a deep jet black. she is made of sharp edges that often help her to look more regal and sophisticated than rounded edges would have. her eyes a deep brown, not very special but they are so dark they often border on black which can confuse many but the light sheen in the right light shows the deep dark chocolate color that they actually are. finally, ara doesn't wear a lot of accessories but the one thing she does wear as a black string choker that never really leaves her person.
