Dune was alone. This fact had stuck with him day after day. While yes, he wasn't hungry thanks to his time hunting mice back at the farm, and yes, he would be able to protect himself when the time came(thanks, adders), there was still the isolation. He was young and stupid, but what good is that without someone else? A twig underpaw snapped Dune from his thoughts, his intended prey making a run for it. Dune dashed ofter, looking like he was going to catch it, only to land headfirst into the trunk of a tree. Hunting 101, ladies and gentlemen.
