  • Havenpaw kept her patience gaze on Cypresskit as she spoke. The young black kit was scared of her words? Why is that? "How come Cypresskit?" The apprentice asked curiously. "Every kit should be able to leave the nursery once there eyes open!" she added with a slight exclaim.

The young grey apprentice wasn't sure what she was getting into. but she had to find out! The timidness of young Cypresskit was more than likely linked to her mothers behaviour, but I simple assumption wasn't enough. She had to find out the truth.

  • For a moment, Cypresskit was perfectly silent, shrinking back as if the truth would come out and scratch her. Her orange gaze had long since slipped away from Havenpaw, focused on her paws so intently that it wouldn't have been surprising if they spontaneously combusted. Her sister wasn't here, but that didn't make the truth any less painful. Even if her mother never found out, it was still hard to come out with it after so many moons.

"She's afraid." she mewled quietly. "She won't let me out because she's afraid someone will see..." See what, Cypresskit? See what? With another deep breath, the black she-kit wordlessly parted her pelt at the shoulder, revealing the skin underneath. It was lined with white scars, reminders of all the pain that she had been put through during her kithood.

    "There's more, too."

  • Tears welded in Havenpaw's eyes as she watched Cypresskit pull herself away and showing her the scars that linned the young kits body. The mother had been abusing her kit!? That's just wrong! How could a mother do such a thing to there own children? It was an awful and disturbing feeling that she had done so.

"It's okay Cypresskit" the grey apprentice tried to comfort with a light mew, trying to hold her emotions in tack. She padded closer, but allowed the kit to have her space. She cleared her mind with a easy breath. What was the mothers name anyway? Could she find her and consult her? No, that would give away that Cypresskit had told, that wouldn't work...

"Come outside with me, I promise it will be fine" the grey apprentice mewed, vowing with her life that she protect this kit till she herself died!

  • Cypresskit herself was fighting tears, but they were easily held back. After all, this was not the first time that she had been forced to hide her emotions. When her mother beat her, she never once cried out, instead taking her punishment in silence. But now, it was harder, because this time, she had told someone else about the abuse, not reminding herself of Desertfire's threats.

What she wanted to say was, "Nothing is okay!" but she didn't. Cypresskit knew that Havenpaw was only trying to make her feel better, but it wasn't working too well. It was hard to feel better when Havenpaw was standing over her, pity rolling off her in waves. Okay, so she wasn't really standing over her, but her presence alone was enough to make her upset.

Cypresskit didn't feel like arguing. She only nodded, her gaze still fixed on her paws.

  • Havenpaw stayed in her place and shook her head. "No" she mewed to Cypresskit with slightly force. She could easily see that the young black kit was very concerned that her mother would abuse her once more. The grey apprentice didn't want that from the kit. She didn't want fear and suffering to cloud Cypresskit's life, she knew by breaking that rule.

"We can stay here, I don't mind" she mewed with a gentler mew, her eyes soft and glowing with protection.

  • Cypresskit was relieved that Havenpaw wasn't going to make her leave the nursery. She didn't want to risk running into her mother or her sister, is all, and she had good reason to avoid them. "Okay..." she mewled softly, and then, almost as an afterthought, she added, "Thank you."

[sorry. low muse--northernclan almost killed it >.>]

  • OOC: HA, I know! It really kills the mood some days ;)

IC: Havenpaw simply nodded and gave Cypresskit a light smile. "It's alright, I understand why you don't want to" she have a comforting mew, her eyes trying to hold there sparkle. The grey apprentice laid down and flicked her tail with an irritated flicker. She didn't know what to do now... What should they do?

OOC: We need to pick a deputy for NC! Would you like my help picking?

  • [Certainly~ Oh, and I think we should end this thread, mainly because we're running out of things to write >.< Don't worry--I'll PM you when I feel that Cypresskit(paw) and Havenpaw should meet up again. Something very interesting is going to occur in Cypresskit's life in the near future >3]

Cypresskit settled down as well, grateful for Havenpaw's understanding. Now, three cats that she knew and trusted (that didn't count Altopaw, but she had been eavesdropping) knew her secret, and for once, she had never felt more relaxed. More free.

  • OOC: Alright :) I feel that way too :) Just fire me a PM when your ready!

IC: A light breeze crossed though Windclan territory.
