It was only logical that the concerned snowferra would want to invite the semi-high positions as well. So there she sat, in the middle of her den, hoping that they would be able to pick themselves up and make progress right at the very start of the new year.

    Cyrus padded over to Twilight's den, having received the message for the meeting. On his way, he wondered what the meeting was about, hoping it was nothing in particular. He tapped on the side of Twilight's den to request entry.
    "Twilight?" He called out.

    The message about the meeting had Regina quickly exiting her den and heading straight to Twilight's den. She stopped after seeing that Cyrus and Harley were already waiting outside the den to gain entry. Normally she would be concerned or excited about these types of meetings, but she couldn't muster up any emotions worth while at the moment. Her mind was elsewhere.

    Following after Regina, Amaterasu's ears lowered, knowing very well that she hadn't been around as much as she needed to be. The wolf was curious as to why Twilight had called a meeting for high positions and semi-high position. Ah, who was she kidding. She knew it was about activity or something of that sort; the Arcane always seemed to have trouble with members who came and went, including herself. Ammy shook her head as to rid herself of unwanted thoughts and stopped to stand behind those who already had gathered.

In a dog-eat-dog world such as this, the Arcanists needed to make every push they could to stay afloat. They had managed to survive after all this time somehow. Hearing Cyrus and the others gather at the entrance to her den, she meowed, "Come on in, everyone. It wouldn't do you all any good to stand around in the cold." The superintendent gave everyone a moment to shuffle in and settle down, and allowed her mind to wander a bit as they did so. Perhaps after building a bridge to the plaza, she'd be able to hold meetings like this in one of those business offices. But that was up to the Arcanists to fulfill such needs. Transportation to the mainland was more critical, truthfully, but for the time being, they had the surrounding ice to awkwardly slide across.
    Finally, she began, breathing in deeply through her nose to bring her thoughts back to the present. "First order of business," she meowed. "I know you all were against us joining the Toxic Alliance, and I've been meaning to discuss our withdrawal with the Blackheart Rogues, but I would like to consult you all once again since circumstances have changed since then. Ululare is no longer their leader, so there is, for now, no more chance of us being disrespected by him. And during the Alliance meeting, the goal was shifted from causing mischief and becoming famous to taking down the Exiles. Like most every other clan in existence, we've been targeted by Exilers quite a few times. So for that reason, I'd like to see what you all think of remaining in the Alliance for a chance to avenge those who have been hurt by those Exilers." Heh, they were probably sick of talking about this already, but the superintendent simply wanted to know if these changes would affect their opinions.

    Upon hearing Twilight speak, the head of the lupine rose and she took no time in shuffling inside. She didn't particularly hate the cold, but she much prefered to be basking in the summer sun than trudging through piles of snow. She shook off her alabaster pelt briefly before plopping down to hear what the superintendent had to say. The Toxic Alliance was an unfamiliar term, as she hadn't been around to know what it was; however, she was somewhat acquainted with the Blackheart Rogues from previously spending time with them in a dual alliance. Amaterasu tuned in to the rest of what the snowferra had to say, yet when the Exiles were mentioned, she unintentionally snarled. That group had taken so much away from her in her time spent with different clans. They had hurt so many that she was close to, and as a result, she despised them with a passion. It had been the Exiles who had removed a section of the brain of someone she cared deeply about, which ultimately led to their death. "I'm all for this alliance." Ammy woofed. "Those Exilers need to be put in their place."

    He'd been there at that meeting, and Uluare's original plan had made him uneasy. But he'd also witnessed the change from "actively causing hell" to "taking down the Exiles", something he did approve of, but he still didn't trust Uluare- mostly because he'd been exiled from the Exiles himself. He knew how bad the Exiles were. His eyes went to Regina, covered in her bandannas. He couldn't pass on the chance to get back at the Exiles for what they'd done, could he?
    "I'd like the chance to get at the Exiles," he meowed, but he was conflicted, his tail swishing from side to side along the floor of the den. "Has the new leader said anything about the plan change? I didn't like Uluare's first plan at all..."

    Padding quietly inside after the others at Twilight's words to come inside, she didn't waste much time in settling down to listen to the meeting. The cold didn't bother her too bad, not usually, but she didn't linger outside for very long, either. She took great care in listening to what Twilight had to say this time around, especially considering that this decision had to do with both the Toxic Alliance and the Exiles. She hadn't supported the Toxic Alliance in the slightest, but with the change in leadership from Ululare to Pitifulllullaby, that changed the purpose of it. "I have no interest in the Toxic Alliance unless its only purpose is to handle the Exiles." She despised the Exiles and everything they stood for, but when it came to the Toxic Alliance, she wanted to be sure that there was no secondary purpose to such an alliance, considering what Ululare's original plans had been. Venta had been branded and hurt by an Exiler. Regina herself had been with a couple of Exilers for a short period of time, and it was the most nightmarish experience that she could recall.

"Alright, then. I'll speak to Pitifullullaby again and ask about the Alliance's goals one more time. If it changes, then I won't have us join. If it changes while we are a part of the Alliance, then I'll withdraw from it, depending on what their new goal is. I won't have our group take part in something that most of its members don't approve of." Her shoulders sagged slightly. Perhaps she had been thinking too much about this topic, but she wanted to get her claws on the Exiles just as much as the next person. Now that that was, for the most part, resolved, she turned around and reached out for her usual pen and paper. It seemed as though some parts were wrinkled. Must've gotten wet while the storm was here, but it was dry now, and still usable.
    "Now, onto more... domestic issues. I'm trying to find ways to raise interest in the Arcane, but more so keeping everyone's motivation up. With the holidays, we've been slower than usual, and I have no problem with that. The only thing is that people might not have as much motivation to return afterwards- I'm sure you guys know how hard it is to get back into a routine after taking a few days off. We have a mass adoptions going on, but we're quite lacking in events. Firstly, I think we should give our allies gift baskets. But more importantly, I think it's time we starting doing individual events with them to bond and connect with them more. Since we don't have any animates to help with this sort of planning, I've gathered us here so we can brainstorm together and hopefully come up with some ideas."

    He liked that idea, and nodded in response. The Arcane was too small to get into something that was going to provoke enemies they didn't already have. If they were just going to take down the Exiles, that would be something he'd be well willing to be in the alliance for. Cyrus listened intently to the next part of the meeting, though it was something he often heard it seemed more noticeable this time around.
    "Events sound good to me," he meowed. It had been true, the Arcane hadn't held an event since their Christmas party. He had a few ideas, but they weren't of the party sort, so he decided to listen for anyone else's ideas first.

    Regina's shoulders sagged and she leaned back, nodding. Hopefully things would go over smoothly when Twilight paid the Blackheart Rogues a visit. It could turn out for the better or the worse. Onto the subject of regaining interest in the Arcane, she recalled the Christmas party she'd set up and felt excitement tingling in her paws. She liked to host parties and get those set up, even if it didn't necessarily generate a great deal of interest. She always had a grand old time decorating and giving out little gifts to those that attended every now and then. Speaking of gifts, she had nearly forgotten about the Christmas gifts she had wanted to give out to her friends in the Arcane. "We could try and do a winter ball with Westeros..I don't know how a ball works in their sense, but I'm sure we could figure it out. And with SeaglassClan, maybe a campfire and some s'mores by the shoreline?"

    "That sounds fantastic!" the snowferra purred, pleased that they were beginning to get the ball rolling. "A ball would fit Westeros perfectly, and a campfire would be an excellent way to combat the winter cold. I'll try to think of some more individual events, and as always, everyone is free to contribute. I'd also like to brainstorm a couple events we could have here at home, so everyone can engage themselves and let loose a little bit. Of course, if anyone has ideas for either allies or ourselves, I'm listening." After taking a moment to jot down Regina's ideas, she meowed, "We're off to a good start so far."

    Cyrus was a bit put off by the suggestion of a ball, but maybe an Arcane ball wouldn't be as posh as those of Westeros and other clans that he'd seen. He approved of the campfire though, and nodded in agreement.
    Then, Cyrus decided to share his idea- it might not be the best, but it was something that he didn't remember the Arcane ever holding before.
    "I've been thinking about an event for apprentices from both the Arcane and our allying groups. We don't have very many apprentices here, and they don't get to train with other cats their age a lot of the time. We could hold a group training session sort of event, with sparring, herb training, maybe capture the flag at the end. Different activities to help them learn. It would be open to older members as well, if they wanted to train too, but mostly focused towards apprentices." It wasn't a party or a ball, but it was an idea, the nyari thought as he finished speaking.

"It would do good for the apprentices to socialize and train with others in their age group." It would be awkward for them at first, but they'd hopefully work well together in the end.
    Looking up from her list, she added, "Does anyone have any specific ideas for interacting with Thunderclan? To be honest, I haven't heard much from them recently. Maybe we should do an alliance check on them?"

    "I could go ahead and check in with ThunderClan. If the alliance is still fine, then maybe we could invite them to a mass laser tag game? The teams could be mixed up instead of being ThunderClan vs the Arcane, that way it would give both groups an opportunity to work together rather than just sticking to their more familiar clanmates." Regina hoped she'd explained the quick idea decently, because once the words left her mouth, she felt like it was a rather sloppy choice of words to use for the idea.

    Cyrus nodded, grateful that she'd taken the idea on board. Thunderclan... a lot of the time Cyrus forgot about them in comparison with the other groups, like Seaglassclan and Westeros. Regina's idea sounded good, though. It sounded a bit like that powertag event they'd been invited to a while ago.
    ,That sounds good," he commented. "Making friendships between clans." He didn't know too many Thunderclanners, especially not very closely.

"That sounds good," she meowed. "Who will set up the events? There's no way I'll make you host them all, if you don't want to. I can help out if needed."
