Trigger warning
If you don't want to read it there's a summary at the bottom of the post.
The NPC never saw it coming. It had been sharp and instant, no pain had been felt. A single blow to the head. The rest of the devestation to the body was done after their death. Which was lucky, otherwise the NPC would have had a long, brutal, agonising death.
Merlin was a bit rusty on the murdering side of things. He hadn't murdered anyone in over 6 moons, which was surprising. Especially for him. But he still new how to cover up his tracks. He never forgot how to do that.
Merlin hadn't gone out with the intention of murdering someone that day, it just sort of... happened. He had been wondering around, and had seen the snow leopard just sitting there. There was no struggle, no pain and it had been sharp. So the snow leopard wouldn't have felt anything. A quick bite to the throat and it was all over for them.
He was about to walk away from the scene before realizing that he needed to get rid of the body. Or at least in his style. He wondered back over to the body and grinned at it. Rolling the body onto it's back, the white feline began to think of what to do. Sighing, he unsheathed his claws and slowly ripped open the stomach. He then took out the guts and began to throw them aside in to nearby bushes and trees. Once he had finished, he grabbed the large intestings and made a rope noose. He slipped it over the snow leopard's head and pulled them into a tree. He tied them down and left them hanging.
Merlin covered up his scent and tracks up well and then left the scene.
