The young molly wandered through the forest with wide, emerald eyes. She was jovial child today, as she'd finally left that boring old warehouse and all the fears the held her for exploring what was beyond the city. The snow storms had spoiled any hopes of going out, and she'd been forced to deal with a lot. Recently she'd discovered her father, was still hoping her aunt would turn up, and she still was deciding what she wanted to do with her life in BloodClan. She didn't want to be violent, detested the thought of being known for acting flirtatious, and hated if she was known for being a chilled soul. She wanted to be scholarly, she wanted intelligence matched with her tabby beauty. But she also wanted to continue being fiery, a vivacious young thing with her witty remarks.

At the moment, though, all that dispersed from her mind like morning mist. Right now it was about this forest, and the mingled scents that were much more refreshing than the stank of the city. Andromed was coming upon four branching, towering trees, and a purr rumbled from her throat and shivered through her striped body. Indeed, she was tawny and white femme that had yet to be a goddess but already was looking to be made of velvet and silk and other fine things. In BloodClan, plenty admired her for he beauty matched by her cold elegance that was a used as an emotional defense mechanism, not that her "Clanmates" knew that. Her feathery plume rose like a flag in the air and her jade optics rose high up to the tree tops.

"They've really got it made here," Andy meowed admiringly, unable to help her amusement and excitement. That was until a fresh scent invaded her sense, one unfamiliar and unidentifiable. "Hm? Hello?" the molly inquired loudly, perhaps the smartest decision but she was young! Surely the felines here weren't savages, in fact she knew that. After all, BloodClan wouldn't call them soft-hearts for nothing![/fancypost]

"You should see this place when its new-leaf~" Wasppaw replied, pushing his way through some bushes behind the molly, a kind, albeit curious, smile playing on his maw.
It was afternoon, and yet the sky was gray and dull. The ground, dusted white with remaining snow, was uncomfortably cold and damp, but after a few moons of this, Wasppaw was rather used to it. However, although the land wasn't at it's highest, Leaf-bare had its own sort of silent beauty that Wasppaw could appreciate. The lack of bird song and prey skittering left the world feeling still, as if it were holding it's breath. That, and the almost constant view of white made everything appear to be one huge canvas, ready to be drawn on and re-created into whatever paradise you had in store. That, and for all Leaf-bare's faults, it was like a resting time for the world. Without winter, there would be no comparison and fondness for New-leaf.
Placing down the scrawny mouse he had caught a few moment before, the apprentice tilted his head to the side, a sheepish look on his features, "Sorry for eavesdropping - I was just behind those bushes when I hear your comment - im Wasppaw, by the way" he said politely, dipping his head and completely oblivious to the oddness of apologizing to a trespasser. Speaking of which - the she-cat appeared to be a child. He was surprised by how many young cats wandered into fourtrees. Surely they were better watched over in their clans? The cream maine coon shivered fretfully at the idea of his own baby siblings wandering out of camp. He took a mental note to keep a close eye on them - especially sickly little Burdockkit.

Andromeda blinked at the thick-set, cream tabby that had approached her. The fur along her neck arose, and the corners of her lips twitched up. Innocent she may have looked, young and all, but she was also from BloodClan. Despite being experienced to fighting, and not commonly resorting to violence, she also wasn't afraid to fight this young brute. Her claws slid from her paws and curled into the dirt, her forest-hued optics narrowing defensively. What was she supposed to say? This was their territory... The least thing she wanted to show was how ignorant she was. However, it seemed this equally young tom wasn't hostile in the least, but he had been eavesdropping... The silky tabby guessed she'd need to pay more attention to he surroundings. Noted, she thought curtly.

"I believe you," she replied tersely, trying not to seem to hostile and start something. Warily keeping an eye on him before they slowly trailed up to the tops of the four giants. They were bare-branched and dark brown, the normal coloration of wet bark. Yet, there was nothing like this in the city. All the trees were scrawny, and all the great oaks were protected by dogs. As he apologized, the fur on her neck settled and her facial features were graced with a faint smile.

"So you're no foe? Greetings Wasppaw,"
Andromeda mewed gently, her feminine voice slightly pitched for her youth, but also in the midst of a deeper tone while she was aging. "I'm Andromeda. By your name I see you're a Clan cat? What Clan?" Genuine curiosity overcame the protective coldness in her jade gaze. She knew the names but little else besides that.[/fancypost]

Wasppaw took note of the young mollys unsheathed claws and bristling fur. She must be scared, he concluded, seeing as - though he wasnt big for his breed, he was still much larger than the child. It must ve scary, being in an unfamiliar territory and then further aproavhed by an unfamiliar giant. Hoping to not come off as frightening, Wasppaw quickly lowered himself to his belly - wincing slightly as the cold bit into his soft belly - so as to be eye-level with the kitten.
He watched her with gentle amusement as she looked around fourtrees, taking note of the tiny sparkle in her eyes. Ah yes, he remembered his first time at the gatheringplace, looking up at the massive oaks as their branches unfurled over the sky, seemingly to hold it up themselves. He could be an outsider and still know this was a sacred place.
When next she spoke, she seemwd to have lost most of her wariness. He perked his ears, rather impressed by her way of speaking - he had a mature one at his paws. She reminded him of Honeypaw and Owlpaw. Maybe a baby sibling of his would also grow to have an intellectual vocabulary like this young one? Oh, the dea made him grin with brotherly pride already.
Before he could blink out of his thoughts and respond, the molly continued - admitting an interesting name followed by curious question. Wasppaw wasnt really the sharpest claw in the paw, but even he perked his ears in surprise. "Andromeda..." he had been down-wimd when hed stumbled upon her - still so, actually, - so he had simply assumed she was a clan cat though he was unaware of from which. He had planned to ask if she was lost after he had her name but...twitching his nose, he tasted the air.
    Bloodclan.
The anti-clan and skyclan were far from friends. Bloodclan had set fire to the territory at one point, in fact, and forced skyclan to abandon their home. Though Wasppaw had been too young to remember much from then, the memory was still sharp in the scarred territory. Blpodclan where no laughing matter.
And before him, was a future killer...
" - is a lovely name" he finished, nothing but sincerity in his voice. It was scary, yes, to think this sweet kit before him could someday join the horrible stories queens told their naughty children, but the future was not today, and Audromeda deserved to be treated as her own person, with her own choices to make.
That, and Wasppaw was practically uncapable of resenting anyone - let alone a child.
"Yep, a proud apprentice of Skyclan" he said with a happy twitch of his tail.tilting his head at the molly, he asked, "are you lost, Andromeda? I have time on my paws, i can escort you home, or-" he paused, thinking of where HOME was, and chuckled sheepishly, "maybe lead you in the direction of? I worry youll get hurt out here..." wasppaw may be a forgiving cat, but the same couldnt be said of all Dkyclanners...
