  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]"Tanglepaw get back to the medicine den, I don't want you contaminating everyone." she didn't really like the apprentice in all honesty. She was petty and in this situation seemed mousebrained. "We need to figure out how to get you out of that... Although I can hear your insults less." she chuckled in amusement.

[hr][justify][size=8]Oh, StarClan, this was difficult. Casting Adderpaw an apologetic glance, her ears perked upon Frostpaw's suggestion. "Yes, that's a good idea," she approved, "Could you please find me some mud? It's the perfect combination of slippery and wet. It won't smell very nice to Adderpaw, but it'll get him out without using up precious supplies." Besides, she honestly couldn't think of anything else. So when the deputy approached, she smiled welcomingly, allowing Mossflight room to observe what the apprentice had done to himself.

  • "On it!" the snow white apprentice mewed, rushing off to find a particularly loose patch of mud. Snow was just frozen water, right? Water and dirt makes mud! It made perfect sense to her.

That being said, this theory might have worked better if the snow had begun to thaw at all, which it hasn't.

[hr][justify][size=8][whoops totally forgot winter was a thing lmao]

Noting her error in judgement quickly, she apologized, "Sorry, erm, how about some dock leaves? Could you grab them from the medicine den? They'll be large leaves with wavy edges. I only need about two or three." That would work! Dock wasn't frequently used in leaf-bare, so it should be safe to use. Besides, the consistency of a dock leaf's poultice was much more efficient than water.

  • Skidding to a stop, the apprentice ended up sliding onto her rear end. Ouch. Looking back at Daisystem, she listened carefully, hesitating in the event she changed her mind. Again.

Padding off towards the medicine den, she kept the description in mind. Though she couldn't help but worry she would accidentally pick up the wrong thing in the process. Large leaves, wavy edges. Large leaves... oh! Having found what she was looking for, or at least she hoped so, she quickly picked up a few of them.

...She decided to pick up a fourth leaf, just in case, quickly returning over to Daisystem.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 150%;][justify]due to his highly limited head movement, the most adderpaw could accomplish at the moment was an indignant glace in mossflight's direction. at least he assumed that was her direction. the most he could see was whatever was at the base of the jar and some portion of whatever lay beyond the concave sides.

the word "mud" reached his sore ears which had the apprentice puffing in distaste. adder was already miffed with the situation. he didn't see how slathering mud on his medium-length fur would help in the least. it it didn't slide off, he'd be left brown around the neck. if it did, it'd be a pain to clean off.

daisy's change of plans had him calming some. but only a tad. as much as he wanted this thing off, adder wasn't so sure he was prepared to have something dry in his fur. there were just some parts cats couldn't clean themselves - a large amount of the neck being part of that. along with that, he knew from experience nobody was keen on helping him groom. hell, he wasn't all too comfortable having someone help him clean up either.

    "just hurry up."

  • Tanglepaw, who had had her bit of fun, had no argument about getting back to her nest in the medicine den. After all of the hurtful disrespectful things her denmate did and said on a daily basis, she was sure nobody would mind her causing him just a bit of grief, just to get back at him even a tiny bit.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][justify]Mistlekit arrived, humor flashing on her features as she looked at him. That was something she had never seen before. The kit walked over, her laughter barely able to be contained. "You got a little something- uh." She said, pointing to the thing on his head. How would you get it off? She wondered. It seemed as though you'd need something slippery- like water maybe to get it off. It was weird-shaped object and it looked as though it was a hard material? She didn't know but it sure was weird. "How would you even get that thing off?" The kitten said softly, now more concerned then anything. Then, she looked to Daisypaw, curious. Mistle looked up to any medicine cats -- even the apprentices, because they were the future healers. Then she heard mud. Gross. Mud was stinky, but she supposed that would work.

[hr][justify][size=8]Daisystem truly sympathized with Adderpaw. He was embarrassed, likely in a bit of discomfort, and his Clanmates were laughing at him. While it was, indeed, a funny situation, having it stuck there for a lengthy amount of time couldn't possibly be pleasant. So when Frostpaw returned with the dock leaves, the gentle molly cast her a warm glance and a quick, "Thank you," before proceeding to chew the leaves, revealing their slimier inside. Using her paw, she began to smear the stuff all over the back of Adderpaw's neck, attempting to get it under the glass jar as much as she could. Stepping back, she tipped her head to one side and requested, "Now, I would like someone to hold the twoleg thing while Adderpaw tries to slip his head out, please." She would do it herself, of course, but the snow-furred cat was in no condition to be exerting herself.
