Now her mentor was Icegaze, who Breezepaw was blissfully ignorant of his relationship with her own older sister. Instead, the young apprentice focused mainly on staying devoted to her new purpose and learning diligently about her future role until their trip to Mothermouth at the half moon, as after that the blue point would work twice as hard.

however, now, the blue point was mostly quiet and subdued, anxious and nervous. this was rather unusual for the molly, as breezepaw was usually confident and bouncy, boisterous with her speech and actions. her blue eyes were glued to the herbs (meant for healing simple wounds, which was all the little point really knew how to do) she was sorting with her right paw, her left covering her maw as she tried to make the slight coughs she was experiencing quiet and inconspicuous to others.

once she was finished she steeled her jaw shut, her teeth tipping into her lips. the youthful apprentice slipped out of the medicine den with a minor cough disguised as one caused by the dust that usually clouded when anyone entered or left the den. She looked towards the fresh-kill pile, narrowing her eyes momentarily. should she eat? the fresh-kill pile looked relatively full for leaf-bare, and she hadn't eaten much lately in previous days, and she doubted she would eat much in subsequent ones.

deciding it wouldn't be selfish, as breezepaw tried to stay selfless in scarce situations, the she-cat picked up a vole from the fresh-kill pile. meandering to one of the sides of camp where the wind couldn't get to her exposed pelt of cropped fur, the female settled down with her meal. however, she couldn't help the lingering feeling of guilt that crept up from the base of her tails and was slowly winding up her spine.

i should tell him, she thought uneasily. but a voice answered back for her, and you'd be selfish for wasting herbs that could be used on kits, queens, or elders. or your sister, breezepaw. be sensible. and so breezepaw held her thoughts at a standstill, quietly beginning to eat her food with gentle cough between her bites.

[hr][justify][size=8]"Breezepaw," she greeted her former apprentice with a friendly tone, smiling as she approached. "How are you today?" Also getting used to her new role, Daisystem had woken early and gone hunting. With many cats falling ill, she decided it wouldn't hurt to help out here and there, though her main priority was still to Icegaze. Settling herself down beside the point she-cat, she cocked her head curiously to await her response.
