  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;][justify]The warrior was sleeping out in the camp, near the warriors den. For once he was allowing himself to rest, but this wasn't going to be pleasant.

A kitten could be seen, his past self. They were playing with Daisykit and Alderkit, but his two sisters were teasing him. Teasing him because he had lost their little game, only because his two sisters tag teamed. The kit had gotten so angry, he attempted to leap at his older sisters, however his mother held him down by her paw. Yelling and swating at his mother's paw, she had let go when he bit her. However, he rolled a good feet ahead, hitting someone with their unsheathed paw.

Cherrykit, his step sister. Thrushkit ended up scratching his sister, which led her to have a small scratch across her face for the next couple of days. At the moment cherrykit glared at him, and huffed as she cuddled with her mother.

Daisykit and Alderkit laughed at him, while his mother frowned upon him. Normally Thrushkit would try to interact and converse with cherrykit, but she either ignored him, or told him to go away. She actively avoided him, but he didn't know why. Even Cherrykit's mother looked down on him, which led to his mother having some heated arguments with Cherrykit's mother.

Currently he made his way to Cherrykit, who turned her back against him. Harsh, cruel, and cold. "Cherry-", they were cut off when he felt a sharp sting across his face. His step sister had scratched him. Then without a word she left him bleeding there for awhile, since she had gotten a clean blow on him.

When the medicine cat asked him about it, he only said the thorns at the camp entrance did this to him. Again he approached her, and with a clear voice she said, "We're not family. Stop trying to talk to me weirdo."

While he was asleep his face had contorted to many expressions of discomfort and the many odd sequences of movement along with it. With a jolt he had gotten up, panicked, afraid. Their breathing heavy and it was as if they had forgotten how to breathe. He was like a fish that had gotten out of water.

Daisystem, of course, scarcely remembered that incident. From her own memory, it had all been fun and games. Her brother Thrushpelt had gotten upset and accidentally nicked Cherrykit's nose, which had been funny, but the small kit had gone to check on her half-sister all the same later. Then Thrushkit had ended up with a clawed nose. The small child had always suspected Cherrykit was responsible, but Thrushkit kept insisting it was a thorn. Ever since, she'd kept a close watch on her brother. She loved him, after all, and always wanted him to be safe and loved.

Thus, seeing him jolt awake in the middle of the night had her following close behind, instantly waking and going to his side in the warriors' den. Their nests were side by side, so she merely inched over and pressed her soft white fur into him. Aiming to lick his head comfortingly, she murmured, "Shh, shh, it's okay. It was just a dream. It was only a dream." Though she didn't yet know what it was about, hopefully her words would offer him some comfort and help him calm down.

[just thought of an idea: what if thrush and daisy had a character bond? i've always wanted her to have that relationship w/ one of her siblings]

Icegaze said sleepily as his head popped into the den with a worrisome expression on his face. "I can give you some poppy seeds to help, if you want them." He found them good for the restless or those that suffered nightmares. Enough could send a cat into dreamless sleep so they could rest well.

Mind erratic, they had looked frantically around the den. Everything was a blur, as if it were all a dream. His eyes dilated, and small. His breathing uneven and heavy, until he felt someone press up against him. Well their fur. At first he nearly jumped, their fur on end, paws raised, until they had slowly calmed down.

While their breathing was returning to normal slowly, he shivered when his sister licked his head. The blobs of color, soon become clear. It was his clan mates, his fellow warriors. Okay maybe not Icegaze per say, but he was technically a warrior in a different category.

The warrior turned his attention to Amberlight, "No, I'm fine. This is a one time thing, so no worries." Lying, he way lying. This sort of thing haunted his everyday life awake and asleep.

Icegaze was kinder than he looked, which served them well. "I would, but I'd rather not Icegaze. Supplies is running low in leaf bare, and I wouldn't want you to waste poppy seeds for something silly. Thanks for the offer though."

    "try walking it off."

palemoon knew a thing or two regarding nightmares. they plagued her, each day and night. when she closed her eyes, she saw the countless dead bodies of everyone she loved. it'd driven her to suicide, once, but that had failed. now, she spent most days on numb, dainty little gray paws. she worked herself into the point of exhaustion that he brain was icapable of dreaming.

the feline had been dropping off the two squirrels she'd hunted down into the freshkill pile, pale gray eyes turning on the tom. "distract yourself. it always helps me." she offered, concern in her eyes as she shrugged a bony shoulder.

[hr][justify][size=8][they will be the ultimate siblings]

At Icegaze's offer, she cast the medicine cat a grateful look. She worried for her brother. The two had always been extremely close, and it pleased her to see everyone so eager to assist him. Thrushpelt was a well-known warrior in the clan and was well-liked. He had plenty of friends and was going to be an excellent mentor, in her opinion. She held a lot of pride and love for him.

However, when he insisted he was alright, Daisystem frowned. He was lying. She knew it. His head was still racing with feelings, it pooled in her own mind. While he had a point about supplies running low, poppy seeds were common enough and easy to find, so it wasn't as big a deal. No one would be able to force them down his throat, though. His erratic mind, fraught with terror and pain still, washed over her, causing her to shudder briefly. It was so obvious he needed something to distract himself from the horrors of his dreams, whatever they may be. Daisy was in tune to his feelings, yes, but couldn't necessarily read his mind. She would have to wait until he wished to talk about it.

So when Palemoon approached, offering to take a walk, she nodded to the warrior. "I think that's a good idea," she agreed, "A walk can be a nice way to clear your head."
