| An act of kindness. One colossal gesture of sacrifice that will transform the life of Sawyer Templeton forever. It began with a fatal car crash. The air in Wetrock was muggy, and icy sludge littered the earth like used paper towels. It was approximately 1:24 A.M. when two bloodied, teenagers were wheeled into the ER. One of them- the boy- was already a goner by the time they arrived. His sister, however, was still very much alive, albeit unconscious throughout the majority of the ordeal. You see, the girl- seventeen year old Sawyer- had spent her fair share of time in that very ER. The doctors and nurses were all very much familiar with her as their recently diagnosed leukemia patient. Because of her charming disposition and seemingly boundless energy, even after she was diagnosed, the staff loved her, and none of them were too pleased to find her in such a traumatic state. In particular, Doctor Christopher Blair had grown rather fond of Sawyer during her stay at the hospital, and was all over her the moment he heard the news. The thing about Dr. Blair is that he wasn't any ordinary doctor. No; Dr. Blair was a vampire. The doctors managed to stabilize her condition, but Dr. Blair knew better than to hope for a miracle. She was circling the drain, and you could see it in every somber face that everyone knew it. But Blair- he couldn't let that happen. He had grown to see the girl as something of a daughter, and to watch such a bright flame die out so soon... It was unthinkable. It was after some intensive consideration that, while nobody was looking, he took matters into his own hands and did something he hadn't done in nearly a century. He made a vampire out of her. The thread will begin with Sawyer awakening in the home of her new family. You see, much like the infamous Cullen clan of the Twilight Saga, Dr. Blair has created a family of vampires. With himself as the sole patriarch, he "raises" his family in the only manner he sees fit: by encouraging them to practice the only moralistic form of vampirism there is and consuming the blood of animals rather than humans. Sawyer's love interest will be one of your characters. Preferably a blunt, egotistical asshole who hates everyone. At first, his disdain towards Sawyer is overwhelming and apparent. Not that he treats her any differently than he does everybody else, but her energy and apparent enthusiasm to learn irks him off. Nevertheless, despite his persistent lashing out, she clings to him as a mentor-like figure. Secretly, your character doesn't mind Sawyer's admiration all that much. In ways that are often blunt and unfeeling, he will teach her all about life, death, and where exactly they stand on that totem pole.
