Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 8, Magnus would climb, basket in hand, to sit under that tree. To watch the sun. Not the sunrise, not the sunset. But the sun. He always agreed in his mind that sunrises were overrated. They were too fading. Too non-existing from this world. The sun, just the sun, was absolute. Warm, and lasting. He loved the waves of that steaming yellow crevice. The heat. He'd sit, unshaded by that oak, doing anything he desired. Some days he would brush up on his T.S. Elliot, some days he would snack, and others he would sing. But not today. Because today, this Tuesday, he grabbed an astrology book and made his way into a mini-hike to his destination. He sat and opened his book, breezing over a few pages before changing his mind and closing it again. Instead, he watched the sun. He watched the sun, and he closed his eyes. With a sad smile and a final breath, Magnus died. Just like that, really. Whether it was a stroke, or some sort of silent heartattack, he just died. A peaceful, nonexistant death, really. Easy. Neat. And gone.
