fleckstar stared at briarpaw watching him land on his paw, slightly cringing at the way he landed on it. her eye on him as he limped over to rivermist's side. it was an advanced moved and it would take much more practice to get it down "good try briarpaw, just keep practicing until you have it." at foxthistle's voice her eyes watching him do another advanced move before looking at stonepaw.

The pale grey warrior flicked her tail, only slightly mourning the loss of patrols already possibly having been sent back out. She could go back to hunting solo, but the thought didn't honestly appeal to her. So instead she remained in camp, her pale green gaze scanning the chilly morning sky.
Amberglare, however, was practically bouncing around like a kit full of energy. She hadn't an apprentice to train, nor was she particularly assigned to do anything as of yet. And so, the white-furred cat tried furiously to contain herself, to to calm. But she could hardly manage it, and in the end decided to leave on her own, to hunt or do whatever else she could while alone.Rowanflame padded over to Cindershadow. She dipped her head slightly and asked: "Could you lead a hunting patrol?" The deputy looked around for more cats with nothing to do. "Take three others."

Cindershadow's voice was cordial and polite when she spoke. "Maybe Cloudleap and Molestripe, if neither of them are busy? And maybe Rivershade or Amberglare." she finished, allowing Rowanflame to state some opinion on the matter. -
Rowanflame nodded. "That's fine." she told the warrior. She turned away and went over to Rivershade and Rosethorn. "Could you two do a border patrol?" she asked them. "Go to the CrystalClan border, and maybe take Cindertail?"

Rivermist purred softly, brushing the top of Briarpaw's head with her nose. "You did well!" She praised him earnestly, her green eyes glowing with pride, "I've never seen an apprentice do so well on their first try. All you need to work on is your balance; I know not having the strength of your hind legs to keep you upright is something that takes a lot of getting used to, which is why your shoulders might feel unsteady at first." She took a quick glance at Stonepaw and Foxthistle, making sure they were out of earshot before she added: "Stonepaw fell flat on his face the first time Foxthistle got him to try it; this was back when he wasn't quite so big, and his foster sister Robinpaw can't do it at all - her legs give out every single time." Hopefully hearing that the older apprentices hadn't been so successful at learning advanced moves would reassure Briarpaw.
Stonepaw watched his mentor execute the new move carefully, observing each small movement with intense focus. When Foxthistle approached him again, he gave the orange-pelted tom a nod before lowering himself into his usual pre-sprint stance. The large grey tomcat launched himself forward, pelting towards the cliff face as fast as he could, paws hammering against the cave floor. As he came within jumping distance, he bunched his hindquarters and sprang, his powerful kick sending him just as high as Foxthistle, if not higher. He came into swift contact with the wall and pushed off, forcing his body to twist in midair until he was facing the opposite way. However, he hadn't managed to turn around fast enough, and couldn't assume landing stance in time. He hit the ground awkwardly, forelegs first instead of hind legs, and collapsed forward, the impact jarring his legs and sending him reeling. Shakily, he hauled himself back to his paws, staggering forwards. His pelt burned with embarrassment; the leader, the deputy and his mentor had all been there to witness his grand failure, and to top it all off, another warrior and her apprentice - his denmate and junior - had witnessed it too. "I-I'll try again, Foxthistle," Stonepaw stammered apologetically, flattening his ears in shame.

Hunting patrol, hmm? Well, best to begin to gather members for the patrol. The silver tabby padded quietly to Cloudleap, hoping that the she-cat wasn't all too busy at the moment. "If it isn't a bother, do you mind coming out on a hunting patrol?" she asked, dipping her head in respectful greeting. -
RiverShade smiled a bit. "That is very good to know. I am good as well, but it seems I missed the patrols. Maybe later I can catch one." He thought allowed licking down his staticy black fur. His orange eyes studying the she cat for a moment before he waved his tail and stretched his legs forward a bit.

the tortie got to her paws almost instantly when stonepaw fell a quick flash of concern on her features. a sigh left her mouth when stonepaw began to apologize to foxthistle "its not your fault stonepaw, its an advanced move. it'll take time like any other advanced move," the leader told the stonepaw and it would be the same for any other apprentice. she turned to her deputy "brindlepelt try to take some warriors out for a patrol. i'll be here," she told the deputy motioning her to the exit. "take out three warriors, be very careful," fleckstar mewed making her way to stonepaw "you can practice a battle move with me, it maybe easier with an actual cat."

Stonepaw blinked at Fleckstar, his blue eyes round with awe. "R-Really, Fleckstar?" He questioned, "T-Thank you!" He bowed his head in great respect for his leader, attempting in vain to disguise his awe-struck excitement.

Rowanflame nodded. "That's fine." she told the warrior. She turned away and went over to Rivershade and Rosethorn. "Could you two do a border patrol?" she asked them. "Go to the CrystalClan border, and maybe take Cindertail?"Well, most of the apprentices are out training, and Rowanfang is organizing patrols. She just asked Rivershade and Rosethorn if they could have a patrol with Cindertail in it, so, yeah.

Brindlepelt nodded, then looked at Foxthistle. "Come along Foxthistle. You're going." The deputy led the way out, then padded over to Amberglare. "Could you join this patrol? Please go get someone else to join."
Foxthislte leaned down to Stonepaw's ear. "You did the best you could on your first try." He whispered, following Brindlepelt out of the cave.
Rosethorn nodded to the deputy. "CrystalClan? Alright. But maybe instead of just us, we could instead join Brindlepelt? We would need a bigger patrol in these winds." She suggested.

Stonepaw stared after his mentor in surprise. Had Foxthistle really just praised him? He perked up considerably, his tail-tip flicking from side to side. "Thank you, Foxthistle!" He called after his mentor, a small smile playing on his maw.

Amberglare brightened, jumping to her paws at the words. "Sure, no problem!" the always-eager she-cat replied cheerfully. Her signature amber eyes scanned the camp for possible viable candidates to join the patrol, as asked. Almost as an afterthought, she noted those who were already set in the patrol. She couldn't say that those she found discouraged her in any way, though the rational side of her mind warned about Foxthistle and his usually confrontational ways. -

Foxthistle pricked his ears. "Why don't we just go? We already have four people in this, fun group you made up." He lashed his tail, ready to leave.

fleckstar looked up as the deputy took foxthistle a confused look since the tom was in the middle of training his apprentice. before she could say something the were going through the tunnel, a sigh left her mouth. she turned to stonepaw "i guess I can train you for a while. are there any moves you want to practice?" she asked with a smile.

Stonepaw was lost in his daze for a moment, before he vigorously shook his head to clear his mind. "Err..." It felt strange to be making requests of his leader, "Can we go over some of the basic moves first?" He asked tentatively.

My kitchen has been in the process of being redone for a few months now and g a s p it's almost done. So we were out putting things in the cupboards.And I may have had to crawl into a cupboard to fix a shelf inside.))
Amberglare blinked, still somewhat taken aback by his, admittedly expected, response. "Fine, I suppose we can go with this." she answered, really not bothered by him as much as she probably should have been. "Four cats is usually enough to a patrol, anyways." she allowed. Even his somewhat rude response didn't dim her bright cheerfulness.
