  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;][justify]With no apprentice, he was given more free time than the other warriors with apprentices to call their own. this meant more was expected from him at supporting the clan's everyday needs. While the others went off with their apprentices, he had to help the community. Whether it be checking on the elderly, and satisfying their needs, checking the kits to make sure they were alright, bringing supplies to the medicine cat den, and bringing prey back to camp, or reporting new things to Adderstar.

In truth he was busier than he made it out to be, but it didn't bother him. Little things like this made him happy, even if it took a toll on his body. Just when he was heading out in order to get prey, he suddenly collapsed.

From afar, someone could see how their legs just gave out. The feline tried getting up on his paws, but every time he did, he wound up on the ground again. Maybe I worked myself too hard again? How long was it since I slept? For now, Thrushpelt laid on the ground. This was an often occurrence.

Someone would see the dark rings underneath his eyes from being sleep deprived. Thrush had been eating well and everything, but he just didn't give his body the well deserved and proper rest it so dearly needed.

"Guess, I'm just going to lay here for awhile." He muttered mainly to himself, as he closed his eyes. hose who saw the whole ordeal might assume he was dead from suddenly collapsing.

  • "Mousebrain, if you decided on dying already, you should have told someone. We would've had everything ready to celebrate," the warrior joked, walking up to her littermate. Alder could relate to the collapsed warrior, her own body yearning to sleep for the next three days, though, she was kept in high spirits in hope to have Adderstar assign her first apprentice to her. "Do you want something off the freshkill pile? We can split it." She had been eyeing a decent looking vole for a while now and this would be a good excuse to pluck it up from the pile.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;][justify]And so she teases once more. Thrushpelt opened his eyes to view Aldernose. Bith of them were litter mates, and so they knew each other to some extent. "Hmm. Maybe I should have, but then I would yearn to hear you call me mousebrain once more." He was teasing her, although he was terrible at it. They had been terrible at it since apprenticeship.

He lifted his head at her offer, "Sure, but if that's fine by you." Considerate is what he was trying to convey to his littermate, but then again he couldn't get up. Maybe she can't wait for the new apprentices?

A new batch of apprentices were coming, which meant they would be mentor's soon. However, Thrushpelt didn't knkw how to feel of the outcome. Who would complete the tasks he has done while the mentors went off to teach?

    i'm slow shh

Stretching as she emerged from the warriors' den that morning, Daisystem allowed her gold gaze to travel around camp. It seemed not much was happening. Most warriors had already gone out on the morning patrols and apprentices were out hunting, wanting to get a head start on their training. There were a couple kits playing who were earlier risers than most, but the elders would still be sleeping deeply this time of day. Thus, she turned her head to smooth down her shoulder fur before her ear flicked upon hearing two familiar voices.

    Thrustpelt! Aldernose!

Grinning at the voices, the white-furred she-cat hobbled over with a lack of grace due to her injured paw. Aiming to nudge Thrustpelt playfully when she got close enough, Daisystem purred, "Good morning! How are both of you? Keeping busy?" She certainly was! Adderstar had assigned her Breezepaw as an apprentice, who had a great deal of energy to keep up with. She could tell the young cat didn't have her heart entirely set on being a warrior though. Much like the older cat, she wanted to be the next medicine cat apprentice. This next meeting would determine just who that would be.

While of course she was likely too old to be considered now, Daisy couldn't help but hope she had a small chance. After all, she just didn't feel as though she made an adequate warrior. It was as though her talents focused elsewhere, away from fighting and patrolling and settling clan disputes. She had a large heart - one that reached out across borders and looked to help all cats, not just those of her clan. However, if anyone deserved to be chosen, it was her own apprentice Breezepaw. The cat was young and healthy and had a lot of potential. Icegaze would be lucky to have her.

well, rip, my brain is fried

From the distance he saw his other sister, Daisystem. He flicked his tail in greeting towards her, a usual thing he did. Unlike her, he had no apprentice. They never had one, not that they minded, but he was getting old. Sooner or later he would end in the elder's den, however he still had some time before doing so.

They smiled, as she nudged him. It moved him to a more awkward position, but he didn't mind. Busy as usual aren't you, Daisy? Perhaps Daisy didn't figure out that he couldn't get up from exhaustion. The warrior didn't want his sister to yell at him, because he didn't take care of himself well.

"Mornin' sister, as for how we are.. You could say busy as usual, but today I'm going to relax." Well technically he didn't lie, he was going to rest. Only that his body forced him to do so. If daisy asked him to go somewhere, or get up, he was screwed.

I wonder if Breezepaw will become the next medicine cat apprentice, although Daisy has been thinking of changing her status. "Are you excited dear sister for the upcoming ceremonies?" It was then that he turned to Aldernose, "You hoping to have an apprentice this time around, sister?"

Thrushpelt was never sure of what he would do, if he ever had an apprentice. They were spared for some time now, but sooner or later he would have one. It was his duty to train an apprentice. "As for me, well I'm not too sure if I want an apprentice. What do you think about apprentices, sisters?"
