• [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;]They had been here for thirty long moons, but never seemed to be acknowledged by his half sister Adderstar. At birth the two of them didn't get along, even as they grew older. He wanted to care for her as a brother should, but she would always push him away. Even when they congratulated her when she became leader. They were met with the cold shoulder. It had hurt, but he pushed all of it aside smiling gently at her.

Call it foolhardy, but he understood why she hated him. He was never supposed to exist, but here he was breathing. Alive, thriving. Thrushpelt had to throw aside his feelings of denial in order to be the sane warrior everyone thought he was. At first he had been rash as a child, but over time he turned a new leaf.

No longer were they making terrible decisions, now he was calm and patient. Quite a one eighty, if anyone dared to remember how he was before.

For now, the warrior exited the warriors den. Another day, another tedious one at that. Hopefully no trouble irises today, but the likely hood of that is low. Ah, why can't we all have a nice chat one day, and end this foolish turf war.

"Has anyone arranged any patrols recently?" They had asked the nearest member. If not they would go out to hunt for the clan, as it was his duty to do so. Most would call it boring, but if you thought about it a warrior did many things others would not realize. protecting the clan, training the youth, helping the community, and paving the way for newer generations to come.

  • Cinder knew she couldn't go on patrols, so she figured she'd might as well take this opportunity to greet the unfamiliar face. "I did," The long furred kit joked, giving the warrior a grin. Hopefully they wouldn't think her annoying, she was simply trying to get in a word before going back to doing kit things. She couldn't wait until she was old enough to attend patrols, they sounded like fun.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;]Just as they were about to respond, they had turned their heads to face a kit. A kit they had not yet met. Ah, a little jester. Amusing nevertheless. Thrushpelt couldn't find it in himself to be angry at the child, as they meant no harm. With a gentle smile strewn across his face, he responded "Who would have though a kit snuck on patrols? Hmm. Maybe I'll report this to Adderstar." It was evident that he was lying, since his face was not serious at all. It still bore the same smile. "How are you doing little one? Are you cold, or hungry?"

    [/fancypost]

  • Cinderkit grew concerned at first, though quickly realized he was only joking. The kit chuckled at his remark. Adderstar seemed scary to her, but that was probably due to the fact that she'd never had an actual conversation with the leader. At Thrushpelt's question, the child shook her head. "No sir, I'm good. Are you cold or hungry? 'Cause if you're hungry, I could always go and hunt for you, really. Well, not really, but if you know somebody nice enough to chaperone little ol' me, that would be very cordial," Cinderkit insisted, thinking that if she impressed the warrior with her use of synonyms then he'd be more willing to take Cinder out on a field trip.

Upon hearing her fellow warrior's call, Daisystem had padded up with only a slight limp due to her damaged paw. It was well enough that she could patrol, but not quite hunt yet. Only a few more days remained before she could begin providing for the clan again. Just as she was about to offer to accompany him, her dear friend Cinderkit bounced up with an offer of her own. The white-furred feline purred in amusement, listening in to the conversation as she neared and sat down. Aiming to flick Cinderkit's shoulder playfully with her tail, she reminded her kindly, "Nice try, but you have to wait until your apprenticeship."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;][Is Thrush the only male of out the sibs?]

They were impressed by the child's word choice. It was certainly more advanced than what was expected. Nice try, but I can't take you outside of camp. Adderstar would kill me.

"Daisystem is right, but who said we can't have a little fun in camp?" He certainly didn't play games often as a kit, or early apprenticeship, because he was rather violent. More like he would attack the person who won, which resulted in him getting scolded by his mother. Daisystem and Aldernose were often witness to him beating up other clanmates, but he had never once hit them. Argue yes, since they were siblings.

"Unlike us, you get to play more often with your friends. Us grown ups are often tired, stressed, or bitter about our day. Usually we talk about the clan, rather than having fun. Work, work, work. Staying a kit is better than being a warrior in some aspects."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 300px; min-height: auto; padding: 0px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify;] nightkit was messing around with her fluffy tail when she heard the others, and she cocked her head, before scuttling forward and stopping near cinderkit. "will all the kits grow up to be all bitter and grumpy like the warriors?" she asked, sounding mighty concerned as her tail flicked back and forth anxiously. "i don't wanna be stressed! i wanna heal and be happy!"

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; line-height: 12px; font-size: 10pt;]
"Well, if you ask me," Cyst came up to stand beside Nightkit, "-healing cats is pretty stressful. I mean, with the whole Clan's life on your paws." he teased, nudging his friend gently. If Nightkit wanted to be a medicine cat so badly, he would definitely tease her about it, nonstop. That is, until he grew out of it. Which would be, if Nightkit's dreams came true and she really did become a medicine cat, never.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;]Just as he was about to respond to nightkit, cyst had answered their question. What he had said was true, but everyone was stressed in one way or another. "Just as Cyst has said, but whatever you become you will be stressed. It all comes down to managing the stress you have pent up. Adderstar is the most stressed because she is leader, at least we clanmates carry some of that burden."

    [/fancypost]

  • Cinderkit chuckled at Daisystem and Thrushpelt's reactions, though her fuzzy ears perked up at the subject of stress. Ohh, she knew a lot about this, most of it being from personal experience. Wait, no, she was thinking of anxiety, but still. A grin spread on the ashen child's face before she decided that holding it back was inevitable. "Stress is one of the biggest causes of sleep issues, and when cats say that laughter is the best medicine they're not kidding! Laughter is usually the best natural remedy to stress, other than chamomile." She explained, hoping they found learning as interesting as she did. Oh, gosh, was she rambling again? The child hated that she came off as a know-it-all, she couldn't seem to help it.

"Then I must be the most laid-back cat in the clan!"

Squirreltail had always been the kind of tom to laugh at every single joke, whether he truly thought it was funny or not. He had to be one of the youngest warriors, barely past fourteen moons, and his apprentice-like childishness hadn't yet faded. He was still loud, obnoxious and quite the kit at heart.

Now, the hyper tom was padding towards the small group, giving an ever so slightly flirty smile towards Daisystem and Thrushpelt. To the kits, he gave a full-on grin - little kittens like themselves were just too adorable not to smile with them around.

    "Is everybody alright?"

"Yeah, I'm good!" Cyst turned to Squirreltail, pine green eyes narrowed. "I just hope Adderstar doesn't forget to call the meeting..."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;]It was astounding what the kit knew. The youth are ever growing it seems, perhaps with sharp minds the clan will continue to grow. Before he could say anything Squirreltail had cut in. Thrushpelt wouldn't say he disliked the warrior, but he didn't get the other at all. True, Squirreltail was the more laidback, but he was a bit of a flirt.

I honestly don't understand him. Does he like both genders? If so i don't see the problem in that, but as long as he doesn't flirt with me. Thrushpelt was a true heterosexual, who supported and respected other sexual and romantic preferences. They had not right to tell others who not to love, love is love after all.

"I am fine Squirreltail, however I'm thinking of going hunting soon." Everyone was getting excited over new apprentices and mentors. For Thrushpelt it didn't bother him, but he did wonder who he would be getting. That is, if he were to have an apprentice for once. "Adderstar is a rather busy woman, so it might be awhile."

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 420px;]
Daisystem grinned at Cinderkit's response to Nightkit's concerns. Aiming to flick the kit's shoulder with her tail, she purred good-naturedly, "Show-off." It was clear she only meant it in a kind way, though. In fact, it wasn't uncommon for the female to listen attentively to Cinderkit's ramblings, finding a lot of her stories and knowledge rather fascinating.

Then, when Squirreltail came up, she mirrored the smile cast at her, blissfully unaware of the flirtatious undertone to it. "Oh, I'm well, thank you! How are you?" came her easy-going response, followed by a curious tip of her head.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;]Thrushpelt didn't know whether or not he should be concerned for his older sister, Daisystem. She was the oldest of the siblings, but she lacked some sense? However, it was not his place to look after her. Daisy was a grown woman, which meant she had to make decisions for herself.

They watched the exchange carefully, as he wanted to see what Squirreltail would do. Call it being over protective, but he wasn't going to tell his sister off later. No, he just wanted to observe the choices the two would make.

He just didn't want his sister getting hurt by Squirreltail. Although it was a plus that she was oblivious to such matters. The warrior wouldn't know what to do, if the pair ended up together.

    "Great to hear!"

Despite Thrushpelt's quiet worry, Squirreltail's flirting went no farther than a playful swipe of the paw. He was beyond excitement now, and was a mixture of "I want to play" and "I want to fight".

Like most cats, Squirreltail found comfort in rushes of adrenaline. Unfortunately, ThunderClan was rather peaceful as of late.
