Almost immediately after Mossflight had told her that daisystem would be her mentor, the petite apprentice had rushed to go badger the warrior into taking her hunting, eager to finally be helpful to her clan and not just the well-known nuisance.

after harassing a group of older warriors into telling her where her mentor was, the blue point had zipped across camp to the warriors' den. Poking her head in, the blue-eyed female looked around her the form of daisystem, bopping slightly out of excitement. "daisystem!" she called into the den, tapping a paw as she subconsciously counted the seconds until she caught the older molly's attention.

[hr][justify][size=8]Much like the young cat, Daisystem had been absolutely delighted to be given the eager blue point as an apprentice. She was ecstatic that she was finally being trusted to teach what she had learned so many moons ago! And to such a willing recipient! Breezepaw's constant badgering wouldn't bother her at all. In fact, she was quite looking forward to having something to do. Granted, it would take the time away from when she usually entertained the kits for their mothers or listened to some of Halfstem's stories, but she didn't mind all that much. This was very worth it.

She had been grooming herself in the warrior's den, making herself presentable for her first day of training with Breezepaw. In fact, the snow-coated female had just finished when a small blue head popped into the den, practically squealing her name. Glancing up to see her apprentice's familiar face, Daisystem grinned, feeling mildly amused at her impatience. "Oh, are you ready to go out already?" prompted the warrior, pretending to not notice Breezepaw nearly peeing herself in excitement. However, a twitch at the corner of her lips gave away that she was merely joking, as it wasn't long after the tiny movement that she burst into a short bout of laughter. "I'm just kidding! I've got a full day planned for us both." That she did indeed. Rising to her paws, the feline began to leave the warriors den, expecting her apprentice would be right behind.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px;width: 375px; margin-center: -5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; text-transform: lowercase; font-family: arial;]"yes, already!!" she said, exasperated. she didn't care her mentor just finished getting the snow out of her pelt and breezepaw was about to drag her right back into it. Relief flooded the apprentice when her mentor said it was only a joke. When Daisystem said they were going to do a lot today, Breezepaw grew excited.

Except, she looked at Daisystem's injured paw. "Just take it easy, okay, Daisystem? Wouldn't wanna have to go to Icegaze asking for some burnet, comfrey, daisy, or even willow bark!" she said jokingly, accidentally displaying her knowledge of herbs. It was a secret she wanted to pursue medicine, not even Mossflight knew. She had been subtle when questioning Icegaze about herbs as a kit. However, warrior or medicine cat, Breezepaw wanted to help ThunderClan.

[hr][justify][size=8]A soft chuckle escaped her jaws at the young cat's exasperated tone. She was well aware of her impatience. It was a feeling she shared. However, their eagerness was about to be satisfied. Beckoning Breezepaw to follow, the warrior began to head out of camp. Her day would be rather eventful. She planned on teaching the apprentice to hunt, quiz her on proper techniques, and tour the territory a bit. Perhaps they would even have time to practice her newly-learned skills!

Breezepaw's next words caused her to pause in her steps and face the blue point with an appreciative smile. "Your concern is appreciated, but I do have some ideas that don't involve me exerting myself" assured Daisystem, before tipping her head curiously. So her new apprentice shared an interest in medicine as well? When Daisy was a kit, she had tried to make her way as a healer, but StarClan simply hadn't willed it at the time. Since, she had focused on being the best warrior she could be. Perhaps Breezepaw would make an appropriate choice for Icegaze's next apprentice. Though if she were to be chosen, she would have to learn the proper treatment for the kind of wound she had.

Grinning with a knowing gleam in her eyes, the feline corrected, "Actually, it wasn't too bad of a wound; the biggest issue was how deep it was. Icegaze used burdock root to prevent it from getting infected and then covered it with a marigold poultice and some nettle leaves to calm the swelling." Unfortunately, it didn't make it any comfier to walk on, given the depth of the bite on her paw. On the bright side, due to the lack of a break, she would be back to her old self in about a week.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px;width: 375px; margin-center: -5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; text-transform: lowercase; font-family: arial;]"But you see, burnet and willow bark would strengthen you, make it easier to do things. Comfrey would speed up healing so you would be at your best faster. Dandelion i put daisy on accident * dammit xD to help with the pain. I, personally, dislike poppy seeds despite common usage. Especially for warriors who can still work with their wounds. There are welcome alternatives, albeit not as effective, that don't have the warranted side effect of sleepiness," she said lightly.

"Then being cautious and careful with the injury and the medicine would have it better in no time," she added with a charming smile. "So be careful, please, or you'll have less physical injuries than verbal ones," she forewarned. Her vicious verbal lashings were well known around ThunderClan, especially when she and Mossflight got into one of their little scenes. However, her mind was on training. "now, lets do this!"

[hr][justify][size=8]Surprise flashed in her eyes at the apprentice's extensive knowledge. She hadn't realized how much Breezepaw knew until now. Purring gently at the attempted verbal lashing, she aimed to flick her tail over the blue point's shoulder. She wasn't at all offended; quite frankly, it just meant they had much to teach one another. All the same, she would take it easy. If only so she could teach her apprentice to the best of her abilities.

Beckoning Breezepaw now, the warrior began heading towards the Sandy Hollow, joking behind her, "You're the one standing around!" Another loud laugh of amusement left her, gold eyes shining as she waited for the younger cat to catch up.
