With a sharp tongue not afraid to lash out at those who opposed her ideals, she was a formidable foe in verbal arguments and the such. Certainly not one that anyone would like to get on the bad side of. However, if you were on her good side, and she usually kept people on her good side, all was well. she gave you bright smiles and witty remarks and jokes, and was pretty fun to hang around with most of the time.

however, today was a rather bad day for the new apprentice, having only recieved the '-paw' suffix but more than a few days ago, perhaps a week. she had once again been forced to fetch new beddings and change out the old ones, and had done so for what must of been all the dens. she hadn't really minded doing the elders, enjoying listening to them tell stories while she worked, but all the other dens she was always nagged by the picky cats who always wanted the best bedding, as if she had much to spare, especially with leaf bare upon them.

after finishing up the nursery, smelling of kits and queens and moss, the sour and snappy apprentice meandered out, eyes narrowed and upset. she would try and force out kind words, but such likelihood was a bit lower than usual with her severely lowered patience. the youthful apprentice cast a glance toward the pile of fresh-kill, deciding against grabbing something. best save it for the elders, like halfstem, and the queens and their kits. so, the apprentice decided simply to sit around and be lazy for a few moments. hopefully her sister wouldn't come by and nag her about taking a break for once, though.

After Breezepaw was done with changing their bedding and stuff, he followed her out of the nursery and to the freshkill pile. Quite stealthily, too, if he did say so himself. "Having fun being an apprentice yet?" Thornkit chuckled, a smirk plastered on his maw. It was odd, being that Breezepaw was his aunt, and they had once been in the nursery together. Albeit, love was love, and that didn't stop litters from happening many moons apart.

Dawnbreeze padded over with a cheerful wave of her tail, nodding her head to Breezepaw. The poor apprentice looked worn out, and she was covered in moss. Plucking a particularly large chunk of moss out of the younger she-cat's fur, she inspected it for a moment, keeping it on her claw. "You should rest and have bite to eat," the cream tabby meowed. "I'm sure your sister won't mind." The rather immature senior warrior punctuated her sentence by giving Thornkit a friendly grin, and gently tossing the moss at him.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]It was possible that Mossflight was the one trying to keep her busy, as she hadn't been assigned a mentor yet. It was difficult however, when she kept finding the blue point sitting somewhere doing nothing. "Did you finish doing the nests?" She asked, giving her sister and child an affectionate glance. While Thornkit was hers, she wasn't in the nursery much. She never really had been. She loved her son, however she just was a busy and active cat. She definitely hoped he understood. "If not, you need to do that." Breezepaw could be a pain in the tail, however she certainly was a hard worker... okay that was a lie. The deputy yawned. Yes, it had been quite the distance that their mother and father had the two litters. She was the only surviving litter of her own, and she was uncertain of Breezepaw's littermates' fates. Whether she even had any. As you could see, Mossflight was a great big sister.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px;width: 375px; margin-center: -5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; text-transform: lowercase; font-family: arial;]When her nephew walked up behind her, Breezepaw grunted in acknowledgement of him. Despite her being his aunt, the two were incredibly close in age, Breezepaw only slightly older than him. Thus, the two had grown up together. "Oh hush! You know how Mossflight loves to give me all the work the other apprentices don't want to do!! No offense to them, I can see why," she said grumpily with a narrowed blue gaze at him. "Just wait, Thornkit. It's harder cleaning the nests than making them dirty, no matter what anyone says," she said indignantly to her nephew.

Subsequently of Thornkit's arrival, Dawnbreeze had congregated near them. Breezepaw didn't mind the older molly much, finding her company pleasant and endearing. She offered a grateful smile her way when she took some of the moss from her usually tidy pelt. It was so hard to get things caught in the short fur, but moss always found away to harass her nerves. "Nono, it's low as it is, and I ate earlier," she said, despite appearing thin. In all honesty, it was simply how her frame was. "And you know how Mossflight is."

Speak of the devil, as the deputy walked over to the small group. "Speaketh her name and she cometh," the apprentice mocked under her breath sarcastically. When Mossflight questioned if her duties were complete, Breezepaw shrugged. "I dunno. Does the new moss in my fur not talk for itself? Maybe the moss thats been stuck there since to days ago will speak for it, it's been there so long," she bitterly said with a look at her sister that said she wasn't having it. By now, she looked like she wasn't a mere cat but a moss cat!

    Twistedpath !

[hr][hr]The newly made warrior limped over to the group that happened to be forming. Upon hearing the snap from the apprentice to the deputy Twistedpath stepped in. "Woah easy now. Whats all the hissing about?" he asked before sitting down and smiled at his clan mates.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]"Shhhhh she's just saltier than the fish that RiverClanners eat." She laughed, aiming to flick her little sister over the ear with her tail. She had quite the tongue on her. "Don't be a bad influence to Thornkit." She mewed.

I only became an apprentice a few days ago and she's already made me clear out all of the dens," she meowed, glaring at her sister with fire in her gaze before offering a smile to twistedpath in return. She would get back at her soon, maybe put a burr in her nest before she bedded down. ha, that would show 'er!

When Mossflight remarked that Breezepaw was saltier than RiverClan fish, she wrinkled her nose. "The river is freshwater, bees for a brain. If it was saltwater we wouldn't be able to drink it," she said, showing up her sister with a glare sent her way. "And let's be honest, I've quite ruined him rather well, if i do say so myself~" she said with a prideful tone.

    Twistedpath !

[hr][hr]Twistedpath laughed. It was so fun to see sibling rivalry. "Well you should hear what I had to do when I was first appointed my apprentice name" he said as he licked his whiskers. "First line of business was to use mouse dung on the elders so the ticks would fall off. I smelt like mouse dung for moons!" he exclaimed with another laugh

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]"I didn't say the water was salty, I said fish tastes salty. Now who's a bees for brains? Hmmmm?" She gave an amused chuckle.

"The fish wouldn't be salty if they lived in freshwater, beebrain," she muttered exasperatedly.

    Twistedpath !

[hr][hr]Feeling slightly embarrassed he gave a small laugh. "Man those twolegs must have done more then just taken of my leg" he said with another laugh before flicking his ear towards Mossflight. "Oh don't give her such a hard time. Remember when you where an apprentice."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px;width: 375px; margin-center: -5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; text-transform: lowercase; font-family: arial;]"Well they obviously didn't take away your good looks~," she said jokingly, snorting at her own words. StarClan, she was a terrible flirt, even if she was joking about it. The blue point shifted to her paws, trying her best to pick moss from her fur, all but for some around her neck where she couldn't reach with her maw and couldn't scratch away with her paw. "At this rate Mossflight and I will have to trade names," she grunted, before chuckling at the notion of her older sister as an apprentice. What a mess that must of been.

    Twistedpath !

[hr][hr]Twistedpath blushed brightly. Was she joking? Surely she was, but he still found it flattering. Seeing her struggle to reach some moss behind her neck Twistedpath chuckled before leaning in and offering a paw. "Here let me" he offered before leaning in and bating it away.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]"Yes, because you've had fish, now haven't you? And what would the saltiness of the water have anything to do with the taste of the fish?" She snapped. Turning to Twistedpath she sighed. ""Yeah, I remember. I also remember being respectful and not talking back to the deputy of the Clan OR my older siblings." She hadn't had any older siblings. As the two started talking, her eyes narrowed subtly. "Okay, that's enough, you have work to do Breezepaw." Uh, no way. Her sister was not trying to flirt. Not allowed.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px;width: 375px; margin-center: -5px; overflow: auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; text-transform: lowercase; font-family: arial;]When Twistedpath wiped away the moss caught where she couldn't reach, the apprentice smiled in appreciation. "You don't know how fish work," she chuckled, toward her sister, amusement in her eyes. "It's like rabbits. Rabbits here, in ThunderClan, taste different than WindClan rabbits. They eat different things, and they're different types. It's the same with fish. I heard some elders talking about it," she said lightly, glaring at her sister.

"You didn't have older siblings. And siblings are meant to bicker, even the closest do. You just so happen to be deputy as well," she said with a shrug and a flick of her ear. When her older sister butted between her and Twistedpath, she narrowed her eyes confusedly, and tiredly. More work? Lovely. Sighing in resignation to her fate of constantly tending the nests and such of the clan, Breezepaw looked at her sister expectantly, awaiting the order to soon come. "Alright, what?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]"I just told you, I've had a fish. Have you? They don't taste great, far too salty." She shook her head. "Whatever, you get the point." Stretching, the seal point frowned. "I don't know, just... stop flirting, okay? Its... weird."

"Ah, love blooming this early in the time of the moon, hmm?" The elder had heard the hissing and chatter of the other cats, and came by. "Ohh, I remember my past, when I was still a youngster. I used to be sweet on this one guy, but he left the twoleg place along with his family... But that isn't what were talking about, is it now?" He chuckled, his hazel luminaries giving everyone, even the deputy, a wise and stern, yet warm look. His tail swayed side to side playfully as his signature smile shone on his face.

Dawnbreeze watched the two siblings bickering with growing amusenent in her emerald gaze. They wre very different from her siblings; she'd never bickered much with Adderstar or Copper, but everyone was different. She gave an amused purr as Mossflight scolded her for the flirting. "The young will be young," she meowed to Mossflight. "It can't hurt her to have a bit of romance. And by the way, I love the flavor of fish. It's not that salty; a little bit, yes, but it tastes incredible as far as I'm concerned."
