• Softpaw had run away from her fears, from the fact that thornfang had become temporarily the leader. She had run from her past, from her own shame at being used for so long. She'd left to find herself, to find who she truely was.

She'd wandered around for three moons, and had finally found her parents. She'd found that she had three NPC siblings in bloodclan, and that her father had actually for, erly been a shadowclan NPC before becoming a liner. But she had missed badgerclaw. She missed him every second of every day.

It was on this small piece of hope that he was still around the the now grown up she cat had come home, and it was this thought that she held onto as she patiently waited at the border.

This cat looked familiar. She didn't look like a RiverClanner or a WindClanner... maybe a ThunderClanner. He was certain that he had met her before.

Snakehiss approached her and said, "Who are you?" He knew who she was. It was killing him.

  • Softlight. The last time the old tom had seen her, she had ran away from ShadowClan - a traitor to him, or had he been a traitor to her? If she wanted to come back for Badgerclaw, she couldn't. He was dead. Thornfang had been the one to retrieve his dead body from across the Thunderpath. Hilarious, really. That warrior had died just before ShadowClan had been raided by their own former leader. And now Raggedface was Raggedstar, and she was in charge again. Along with that, the dark furred tom had found out that he was half Clan, and no longer knew what his life meant.

"So it's you, Softpaw. You left here, and now you're back?"His tone was a slightly hostile one, but apart from that, he sounded emotionless - broken, as if he didn't care anymore.

  • Her Amber gaze narrowed in furry upon spotting thornfang. "It's Softlight now, and if you know what's good for you stay away from me..." she hissed at the elder, her gaze cold and filled with hatred. She turned her attention to snake hiss. "Before you ask, my business is in rejoining this clan." so what if her lover was dead? Sure she would mourn, but she also had other ambitions. His death would haunt her for sure, but she would move on. She had lost everyone now, but being alone was what she was good at. She didn't need any one. She was strong now.

  • Rudeness, of course. What had Thornfang expected to be greeted with? And he deserved it. Thornfang was thinking back to Fallendust - StarClan, why? Why had things ended up this way? No wonder everything the elderly tom did ended so badly, it was because he wasn't pure ShadowClan! Maybe that, and he should've listened to StarClan's warnings to start with rather than becoming more aggressive because of them. The old tom narrowed his eyes. "Haha... remember how there's the whole respect your elders thing? I guess I'll just bring attention to it now. And when did you become Softlight? You can't just rename yourself, and don't tell me some other leader did it for you,"laughter? Far from it. His laughter was forced, his voice dull and unhappy. As Softlight faced Snakehiss, the elderly tom moved over, hoping that the she cat would tear him to shreds in a way. He should have let Raggedstar kill him, or his Dark Forest mentor. Softlight was another option though - his first ally, the first cat he had deceived. "Well, I'm certain that she'll let you in."His blunt words referred to Raggedstar.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 400px; font-size: 8pt; color: black; padding: 2px; text-align: justify;]Like others she'd fled the clan when Thornfang had taken leadership. Although where she'd gone was a mystery. Not with Raggedstar, or she would have returned with her. Perhaps, like Whitestep, she'd been injured to badly to return home right away?

Giving the stranger a quick once over he decided that wasn't it. She seemed fine enough to him. Curling his lip at the elder, whom he attempted to shove aside he addressed Softlight coldly, "he has no say in anything anymore. Snakehiss and I will take you to Raggedstar."

  • She visibly flinched. she had been hoping her former mentor wasn't leader either... But she supposed it was to be expected that Sparrowstar, now known as raggedstar of course, was the leader once more. Suppressing her hatred, she nodded in acknowledgement when it came to Goldenlights words, and got to her rather large paws, her stump of a tail twitching slightly as she did. As she stood, it became more obvious that despite her age and new name, she was still no bigger than a young apprentice.

Cottonwood emerged from the undergrowth to silently observe Softlight's unhappy reunion with her clanmates. The ocelot moved his darkened eyes from one to other but they came to rest finally on the face of the small warrior. Observing the fae's nervousness at the mention of their leader, Cott looked away from the momentary vulnerability Softlight displayed and nodded confirmation of Goldenlight's words.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; color:; font-size: 9.5pt; text-align: justify; overflow: auto; width: 500px;]"Softlight... Welcome back." Sandmask's voice was the least hostile out of the group, and the medicine cat's olive gaze glimmered with warmth. Softpaw had been a pleasant presence in ShadowClan, and he was glad that she'd returned--as a warrior, no less. He couldn't help but wonder who had given her her name, though.

  • Thornfang snorted as he felt himself being shoved to the side. "You want to break my bones, don't you?"he grunted at Goldenlight. That would be fun - maybe he could just shatter to pieces or something. Thornfang really was contemplating whether there was any point in staying alive anymore. His dreams had been destroyed, and he now hated himself, as well as the whole Clan. If anyone was going to save this mentally fragile cat, it wouldn't be Thornfang himself. Though he may not realise it, he would need to rely a lot on other cats in the moons to come, but who was going to help him? The old tom rolled his eyes. "Do you lot realise that she wanted your leader dead because apparently it was her fault her mother died? It never was."Why not call Softlight out on that? Thornfang had nothing to lose.

  • "I don't deny I hated Sparrowstar, or Raggedstar as she now chooses to be called. But she was my mentor and leader, and I never wanted her dead. I wanted her to step down or leave, live in exile at most. You were the one wishing her death. " he manner of speaking was cold and detached, and her usually warm gaze made it clear that thornfang was no more than a rat in her eyes. "It is Raggedstars desicion to make on weather or not I am forgiven for my mistakes in the past, not yours. her hostility gave way to sorrow and she flashed a gaurded smile and nod in Sandmask's direction.

  • "If I remember correctly, it was a certain tom who called himself Badgerclaw that was prepared to spare your leader. You were always the more violent one."However, Badgerclaw had been the one training in the Dark Forest. But what did it matter? He was dead, and Thornfang's plans were ruined. Everything he had been fighting for all this time was skies away, and the old tom had never felt more alone.
