Andromeda's little figure huddled beneath the shelter of her box. Her eyes were wide, face innocent, as she inspected her Clanmates. She'd met many so far in her youth, some she'd come to like and other she really couldn't stand. Couldn't stand? Why, that was something for an older cat to decide! Andromeda certainly felt mature and responsible, which made her feel quite the elder. It was amazing at how she'd come to have such a developed mindset at the age of three moons, and it was only going to grow into her adolescent years.

Hopefully, BloodClan didn't remain known for its 'vicious' and 'savage' ways. She prayed that some of these toms, as she aged, would appreciate intelligence and honesty. For, although she'd grow beautiful like VI and Rosaline, or the female-version of the handsome Minos and Romeo, her brain would become her most efficient aspect. In the arrivals of more moons, Andromeda would become quiet the little scholar and perhaps be as cunning, and coldly beautiful as her mother and aunt.

Imaging the future, the small tabby lifted a paw with snowy white toes and peered at how the pristine white was speckled with dirt. Her fur was getting annoyingly fluffy, obviously the Maine Coon trait from one of her fathers, and being fluffy meant being dirty. Sighing heavily, the femora swiped a tongue vigorously to cleanse her pelt of the little impurities.[/fancypost]

the broad-shouldered tom made his way across the warehouse, icy eyes intent on the child. she had the genes of her father, he noted, based off of all that fluff. either that or she was still very much a kitten. he assumed it was probably a bit of both.

"so, you decided to move out?" he grunted, nodding to the girl. "was your mom's box getting too crowded?"

"Decided to move out?" Andromeda repeated, wide eyes turning on the mysterious tom who'd approached her. Was she supposed to know who he was? He seemed, smelled, and sounded oddly familiar. She hadn't had long life, perhaps he'd been there at her birth? Unable to put a name to the burly masculine, the little tabby then gave a surprised snort at the word 'mom', that failed miserably and turned into a squeaky sneeze.

Her cheeks and ear-tips burned with embarrassment and lowered her head to think over her answer. Were kittens supposed to move out at three moons old? Was Vi thinking about kicking them out? Surely that wasn't true! And mom... Did this male not know who her mother was? Maybe he didn't, or maybe he didn't care. Maybe he was trying to make it easier on her, by labeling Vi so she wouldn't have to. Maybe even secretly coaxing her to call her mother... Slightly confused, the tabby raised her beautiful dark eyes up towards the male's again.

"Seven kittens is a lot, but I don't mind it. It's one of many hardships and, if I'm correct, BloodClan is all about enduring hardships," she answered, lips twitching upward in a faint grin.[/fancypost]

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; color=white; font-family: trebuchet ms; width: 350px;][justify]dee watched her expression carefully, attempting to read what was going on in her mind. she was embarrassed, then thoughtful, then confused, all in quick succession. at least as far as he could tell. he waited patiently, allowing her to process whatever it was she needed to. when she spoke, he couldn't help smiling, and gave an almost respectful nod. "wise answer. you're good with words. did you get that from vi?" he paused a moment, then added, 'and while we're on the topic, are you one of her kid's or rosaline's? seven is a lot to keep track of."

The small tabby giggled as he complimented her speech, giving a humble shrug of her shoulders as a reply. Although she attempted to keep a mature façade, unfortunately the child within herself seem to slip sometimes. Andromeda didn't mind that exactly, for she just wanted to be noticed as one of the adults instead of being cast aside for her age. If her façade broke and her true self showed, a youthful and energetic being, she knew it was only for a moment. Again she'd trick herself, and vainly trick everyone else, into believing she was older than what she was. Perhaps her mindset was a bit grown, but not enough to deteriorate the little girl inside her.

"Vi!? What? I can't gather a few tricks on my own? What's a cat without their originality? A magician without their tricks?" she answered at last, rolling her eyes and batting at him with a paw. When he brought up which of the sisters was her mother, Andy's body tensed and her dark eyes narrowed dangerously. Her laugh was clipped, her ears twitching as she avoided looking at him. "The dead one," she answered again, cold, cruel, and detached.[/fancypost]

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; color=white; font-family: trebuchet ms; width: 350px;][justify]"ooh, feisty one." dee snickered as the kid had her little outburst. it was amusing to watch, if he was going to be perfectly honest. at first she seemed out of control, but then she reeled it back in, and almost managed to turn it into a joke. that was more like rosaline than vi.

the tom raised a figurative brow when she answered his question. he did his best to read her, but he couldn't quite figure it out. it was possible she was covering up her sadness, or that she simply had a dislike for her birth mother. he wasn't all too sure why, considering she'd died the minute the kits were born. "ah yes, she used to be my fellow elite guard." dee said with a nod, then suddenly let out a short bark of laughter. "she hated me. don't really know why, but she did." he shrugged and put on a crooked grin. 'probably jealous of my devilish good looks."

The child stuck her tiny pink tongue out at him, giving him a smirk as she licked her chest fur. Feisty? She liked the sound of that. Lately she'd been deciding on who she was going to be, what type of personality traits would permanently define her. She was tired of being influenced, tired of thinking others could show her who she was. They couldn't, and so she'd planned on separating from the common, flirtatious and cold cliché and decided to go for scholarly and vivacious. Since she'd currently been labeled feisty, Andromeda took pride in that too. Sweet and spicy, what a delicious treat, no?

Suddenly the tabby's body tensed as he further spoke of Rosaline. She cast him a dark glance mid-lick, giving a snort of distaste. "I see. I don't know a thing about her, but I'm guessing you must've made her mad? That's the only way I could hate you. Otherwise, you're interesting." She squinted, nose scrunched up. "Mysterious too...," then she gave a bright, tinkling little laugh as he complimented himself.

"Oh I heard she was pretty good-looking herself! Where do you think my good looks came from?" she shot back teasingly, tail raised as she leapt to her paws and raised her head high. She gave a snobbish 'huff' then collapsed, laughing as she nodded. "No. No. You're rather good-looking, I'll give you that much," she mewed in-between breaths.[/fancypost]

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; color=white; font-family: trebuchet ms; width: 350px;][justify]mysterious? dee gave a short laugh. that was a word he hadn't heard anyone use when talking about him, although he liked to think it was one of his defining characteristics. of course, that came along with handsome, charming, and clever. the tom gave a dramatic bow of his head. "why thank you, m'lady. and yes, i would certainly agree you inherited her good looks."

he paused a moment, thinking over her question. had he actually done anything to make his former fellow guard hate him? well, not that he could recall. he had imply been himself. so, he shrugged again. "as for your question, i can't really say. i didn't intentionally do anything. i think she just disliked me."

The tawny little child finally stopped laughing, heaving deep breath to calm herself. Why had that been so funny? Perhaps it was because she'd quit being so prude and finally let loose. Question was, was it a good idea to act so freely around a tom she barely knew? Well, she'd have to have some allegiances round here. With Vi missing and Rosaline dead, Hera evasive and Finch a fireball, Andromeda had no other cats to turn to except her eldest brother Lester and now... now she wanted to rely on Dee. Not so heavily or as parental figure, of course, but she was in a desperate search for friends. Friends, in BloodClan? Okay, allies. There, that sounded decent around here.

As she settled, her sage visionaries darkened drastically. Her mood and aura were chilling and defensive, the fur along her spine bristling. Although she had asked the question, it'd been sort of rhetorical. Andy hated speaking about her mother. Not her mother... just some cat she never met because she died. It almost sounded as if she blamed Rosaline for dying. It wasn't the guard's fault! But the tabby dismissed that heavily, the only thing blocking out her sympathies and sorrow being her hate.

"Hm. Guess we'll never know. What a strange, unamusing she-cat," Andromeda answered curtly, posture stiff, head hung, and shoulders hunched as she looked at her white paws.[/fancypost]

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; color=white; font-family: trebuchet ms; width: 350px;][justify]recognition dawned in dee's icy eyes as he watched the younger femme. he had been having difficulty figuring out how she felt about her mother, but now it was all clear to him. he gave an understanding nod. "ah, so you don't like her that much, do you." he mewed, more a statement than a question. "that's alright, i didn't like my mother that much either."

the tom paused, wondering what he could say next. he figured it was time to move on from the topic of parents, since it seemed andy wasn't enjoying it too much. he just had to think of something else. "so, have you started training yet? found anyone you want to learn from? or are you one of those kids who likes to teach themselves?"

She looked up at him, a curious sparkle extinguishing the ice in her eyes. It kindled a newfound flame in her heart, knowing her and Dee had a lot in common. The little tabby giggled quietly to herself then, although she couldn't bother to think of Rosaline much anymore. It was tiring, all the hate she had for her parents and her substitute for parents. Like Minos, when he'd revealed his identity in her life, she didn't know if she wanted him or wanted to shut him out. However, in the absence of any parent she'd been having an inner longing that she'd only discovered when he'd confessed. So, despite setting up boundaries for themselves, she completely broke them and had... broke down to say the least. Her face swarmed with warmth, embarrassment causing her to flatten her ears.

"No actually. I've been a bystander for a lot of recent fights these days, feeling a bit insecure if I asked anyone around here or help. That won't make me weak right? Because I have a hunger for knowledge, and I'm limited in my capabilities unfortunately. That's where my mentor comes along! I'm going to explore the outer edges of the forest Clans' territory with myself, some accompanied by sister. Hopefully then I'll know more... But I still have to find my way around my own home I'm afraid," she admitted hastily, her head bowed as her paws shuffled against the ground nervously. She looked up to Dee so much, part of her wished he'd volunteer himself for that position. Another part, however, knew that if he didn't she'd be forced to ask.[/fancypost]

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; color=white; font-family: trebuchet ms; width: 350px;][justify]dee hid a faint smile, pleased with the reaction he got out of his words. she was embarrased, and beginning to trust him. excellent. that was his goal with anyone, really. it was always good to have connections with the younger ones, because that meant they'd allow him to train them, which meant stronger warrriors for bloodclan.

and speaking of which. the deputy perked his ears, listening curiously as andy continued. he shook his head in response. "it doesn't make you weak, so long as you're willing to train yourself. and i'd suggest getting to know your own territory first before you explore anyone else's. not to mention learning how to fight in case you get attacked while you're at it."

She nodded, for once in her life feeling a bit dumb. This was her home after all, she should've known her way around by now! He was right, and this only supported the fact she needed some guidance. With nothing but support at her side, Andromeda was absent of a cat who'd really teach her a thing or two. That was Minos' job, and Vi's! How dare they leave her alone like this, sounding ignorant. t was the child in her, claiming she had to explore everything else besides where she was. "The constant fighting around here bores me is all," the silky femme muttered, unable to look Dee in the face. She hated how every corner was the same, brutal and violent... out there, though, there was more than that!

"But you're right. I'd hate to come back looking beaten and scarred, and I wouldn't be defending our Clan name if I lost so easily.. So, will you help me Dee?" Andy looked up at him then, turning round, forest hues upon the ebony brute. They were pleading, and she even added a slight frown in an attempt to persuade him she was worthy to be taught.[/fancypost]
