When they found out Evan's issues, Erik responded rather..negatively. Their only son, and he was practically a freak, in his opinion. It was mostly emotional, sometimes physical. But Evan changed under his father's influence, despite his mother's attempts to help him. Instead of working through his issues, he lashed out. He got violent, he got angry. But he got good at hiding those things. He started with pets. He got good at hiding their mutilated bodies. And then, he got onto the homeless. Nobody missed them. He killed and killed, and he got better and better with each death. And eventually, he took revenge on his hell of a childhood. His father got a special treatment, nice and slow. He got caught when he was nineteen. He got cocky, left a little evidence, and that was all they needed. Evan was honest about his dealings, at least. He admitted to everything.
