Alluna smiled warmly "Thank you, we do have the rest of our lives to get to know each other though. "She said cheerfully. Trying to be happy since she was scared of drinking the potion. "its hard to think..married tomorrow. A..A child in a year..Its a bit much but nothings too much when it comes to peace"
Henry had finished his work, he poured the potion in a glass and set it by Alluna before sitting silently in the arm chair oppisite.
"So what exactly does that do....?" Artemis asked as he looked at the potion. He could tell that Alluna was scared to drink it and was a bit concerned for her. "I havent been told about this so naturally im curious." Artemis said with a small smile.
"Its an..all seeing Potion. Only on the night before the wedding. Shall a royalblood consume this. It will send her to sleep..with dreams of the future. "Henry said quietly. Alluna sighed "i doubt it will be pleasant."she counted to ten in her head before she downed it in one. Already starting to feel drowsy.
Artemis nodded and kissed her Cheek gently as she began to feel drowsy. He looked at Henry "How long will she be out?" He asked curiously. He hoped it wouldnt be too long but he would wait for her to wake up. He couldnt help but be a bit concerned but he guessed it was just natural and that everything would be alright.
"around three to five hours"Henry said quietly as he watched his only daughter curl up and drift off. "No..no matter what happens do not attempt to wake her"He spoke befire leaving the room. In those hours she wouls whimper, tense even cry out. It was like one massive nightmare but there were peaceful segments. She soonbegan to wake at dusk. Feeling tired and sore she stretched out with a yawn.
Artemis had stayed awake the entire time watching over her,he would grow worried when she cried or whimpered but could do nothing for her. He simply had to resist the urge to wake her or hold her,he only had peace when she did and could feel her pain when she whimpered or cried out. When she finally stirred and awoke he looked at her "Welcome back my love,arr you feeling ok?" He asked in concern.
Alluna instantly buried her head in his chest "horrible..but relieved its over. Im sorry you had to see me like that"she sighed gently. She ran a hand through her hair before kissing his cheek. "but im glad you stayed by my side"
Artemis hugged her tightly and gently kissed her nose "I wasnt going to just leave you here alone...." he said softly to her. "Was it that bad?" He asked with a frown "Honestly im scared for us...and this only reinforced my fear a bit..." he admitted.
Alluna sighed "i..I wouldnt be able to tell you..there are some points in the future that are fixed..most of them can change"she said trying to reassure him. She got up slowly "I just..wanna spend the night in your arms though..Do you have a tradition you have to do tonight?"She asked.
Artemis thought "No not that i know of. Most of our traditions happen on the wedding day." He said with a small smile. Artemis gently took her hand in his and held it "I assume your father will show up soon to check if youre awake." He said with a small chuckle "He seems to know when his presence is nedded."
Alluna squeezed his hand "good."she said simply. Almost on cue Henry walked in with a kind smile. "Good to see your awake..I cant wait for tomorrow. I even got you a gift "He chuckled pointing at a medium sized white box wrapped in a ribbon. Alluna yawned "thanks father"
Artemis chuckled and gave her father a kind smile "Is there anything else that needs to be done today? Tradition wise." He asked Henry. He looked at Alluna and then back at Henry,he liked Alluna's father however he didnt completely trust the man.
Henry shook his head "All is done. You are welcome to spend the night here if you wish. Spare you the chance of seeing the wedding hall to early"he jokes. Alluna smiles and glances at Artemis "Want to see my old room?"she asked hopefully.
Artemis nodded "Thank you King Henry." He said politely before looking at Alluna. He listened to her talk and nodded "Yes my dear." He said with a kind,warm smile. He stood up and helped Alluna up so she could lead him to her old room.
Alluna took his hand and lead him upstairs, her room was the biggest in the house. Covered in fairylights was her bedframe, a double bed covered in cosy covers. Pictures of a younger her and certain countries plasted on a wall. "Its not much but its me"
Artemis smiled and looked around as he entered the room "I like it." He said honestly. He kissed her cheek gently and chuckled "Is that you my love?" He asked as he pointed to the pictures.
Alluna nodded "Me..my mother. My father. I had a young cousin but hes missing."She smiles sadly as she sits on her bed. "im worn out..Im gonna get some rest to make sure i dont get bags under my eyes for tomorrow"She joked. She picked out her night dress and changed before crawling under the covers.
Artemis nodded and chuckled "I dont think you'll want that." He joked softly. Artemis did not expect to stay the night but did not mind,unfortunately he was in uniform and had no pajamas with him. "I should have packed something to sleep in..." he said with a sigh. "Im just going to sleep in my clothes i guess."
Alluna bit her lip "You could take off the uniform.I have control over myself dont worry about my heat. "She said confidently. Since she didnt want him to be uncomfortable. Since this was possibly the last night she would get to spend in her old bed.
Artemis chuckled "You sure?" He asked,unsure of if it was ok. He was just going to sleep in his boxers and his white undershirt which is what he usually did when guests were not present. However he still wore pajamas when he was with Alluna as he was worried he would make her uncomfortable.
