She had had so few sad days that it was honestly quite difficult for her to remember the last time she had been upset about something. But, now, as Ophelia walked around the border of BoneClan's territory, with her brow furrowed and a frown appearing on her mouth, it was obvious she was not feeling her best. Why, though? Because Barghest was gone. Disappeared without a damn trace, and Ophelia had no father anymore.
Worst of all, all that had been said was that he had disappeared. No knowing where he went, or why he went, or why he chose to abandon- in Ophelia's mind- her. Was she not good enough? She knew that she had been left on the border and Barghest had rescued her. This was her second time being left by someone who was her parent, except this time it hurt more. The first time, she hadn't known her mother, whom had left her at the edge of BoneClan's territory. She hadn't even opened her eyes, or known her. But this time... oh, this hurt. This hurt badly.
Ophelia had immediately came to the conclusion that he had done it purposefully, but walked slowly along the border, a new thought appeared in her head; had he not wanted to leave? Maybe someone had taken him. Maybe. Her lips twitched, like they were trying to go into a smile, but they couldn't. Though it made her happier, the idea that he hadn't wanted to leave, he still wasn't in BoneClan anymore, and that thought did not bring him back. The puppy raised her head, looking towards the place where joiners and gift-givers from other clans would go- the border. He wasn't there. He had not returned. So, with an exhale, Ophelia simply flopped down in the snow. Maybe she would just wait here, near the border, so that if he returned, she would be ready for them.
[ ic opinions ofc, this isn't meant to guilt anyone, i'm just trying to develop ophelia a bit more and felt like this would make an impact on her. c: ]
